About The Plough Huddlesford
The Plough Inn is a country pub and restaurant with traditional values, situated in the delightful village of Huddlesford between Lichfield and Whittington alongside the Coventry canal.
If you and your family love Pizza you will also love the Plough. The first installation by new owners Mark Hynett and Andy Twigg was a stone baked pizza oven and the second was a wine cellar to suit every palate with some very quaffable choices for you to enjoy. Mark Hynett, British trained and a true Brummie has taken influences from around the world and brought them home to Staffordshire. Passionate about his food and football, he is looking forward to welcoming you to the Plough Inn.
Dogs and muddy boots welcome in our bar.
Great food and good
Great meal..... And accommodated our changed times.... Fab staff
Very nice meal, nice ambience and good value for money
Amazing Sunday roast
The food was excellent, the only little criticism would be that my Dauphinoise potatoes were slightly undercooked. The rest was delicious. Service a bit slow to start with, especially as the restaurant wasn't busy. Our table for two was pushed up against a wall in a corner and not in the best position. However these things aside, we had a lovely lunch and will return
Food is fantastic (their baked mushrooms with Stilton starter is amazing) and the service is excellent. The waitresses were lovely, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It’s a lovely traditional pub where dogs are allowed in the bar. Can’t fault it.
Great food. Lovely cosy canalside pub. Food a little expensive. Staff seemed uninspired. Didn't ask if everything was ok.
Service was excellent, our table was still occupied on arrival yet staff found us another table so not to disturb other customers. Food was excellent and very good portion sizes. Will definitely be returning
Took mum for mother’s day lunch and have to say one of the best Sunday lunches for a long time. Both had chicken one Sunday roast and one from the main menu and the food served was hot and of generous portion size. Staff attentive and not overbearing so just right. Will most definitely visit the restaurant again soon and always enjoy a stroll along the adjacent towpath weather permitting after eating.
Absolutely delicious food
A fantastic place for food and drink, great atmosphere, friendly people and a relaxed vibe. The quality of food is high, plenty of choice, full of flavour, we’ve never had an average meal in all the years we’ve been. The management is first class and you can also bring your dogs along too.
Always have a lovely meal with good service in a great local pub
Great find, will definitely visit again when we are in the area
Fantastic atmosphere and food
Really good food and service
Very enjoyable all round.
Amazing Food and atmosphere
Absolutely top drawer service atmosphere and quality of food
Great venue friendly staff perfect roast beef dinner.
We have been to The plough many times and have never been disspointed with the service or the food, would highly recommend.
Always a great experience.
There was a very large wake in progress, which took over 90% of the pub. Would have been a good idea to inform people who booked of this to give them the chance to make an informed choice.
Beautiful food, lovely staff and lovely surroundings. Fully recommend
Lovely hot breakfast less than a tenner with a choice of tea or coffee.
