About The Plough Huddlesford
The Plough Inn is a country pub and restaurant with traditional values, situated in the delightful village of Huddlesford between Lichfield and Whittington alongside the Coventry canal.
If you and your family love Pizza you will also love the Plough. The first installation by new owners Mark Hynett and Andy Twigg was a stone baked pizza oven and the second was a wine cellar to suit every palate with some very quaffable choices for you to enjoy. Mark Hynett, British trained and a true Brummie has taken influences from around the world and brought them home to Staffordshire. Passionate about his food and football, he is looking forward to welcoming you to the Plough Inn.
Dogs and muddy boots welcome in our bar.
Very nice food, service and friendly staff we will definitely be back soon
Excellent Sunday lunch, with nice veg a highlight.
Could do with menu being changed or perhaps a specials board .
Good atmosphere, staff friendly Good selection of beers although the real ale could do with being kept better as tends to go flat quickly
Overall very good experience. Minor comments to improve Sunday lunch...carrots were a little over cooked and caramelised red cabbage was too finely minced and was verging on being a sauce. Gravy was not made traditionally. Beef was excellent.
We will continue to return frequently!
The reason I gave 4 stars is because we were told it was a different soup to what came & this would not have been ordered but in fairness the cost was deducted from the bill which we thought was very fair. Overall we enjoyed our experience. Thank you.
Another good night in a pub a 20 minute walk from our doorstep. Great food and drink. Staff friendly and helpful.
Food was lovely...both my wife and myself enjoyed our meals...Service was great...it always is...whether it's early morning breakfast or a busy evening...the service never fails
First time back (for me anyway) since 2004. A thoroughly enjoyable all round experience. The food a staff were especially excellent. We'll be back before the end of January 2018 for sure.
Really was not very pleased with the experience.
Great food and atmosphere, come weekly, staff service really hit and miss, was defiantly a miss this week !
An enjoyable meal as always
service was a bit slow, sweet red cabbage should be served separately not mixed with carrots. Coffees were a little cool.
Our second visit and equally impressed. Very accommodating, good atmosphere and great service and excellent food.
Soup was served luke warm. Our roast dinners were tasty as on previous occasions, but my wife’s beef contained 25% gristle which was not up to usual standard.
Amazing Sunday Roast
Lovely food and super little pub , love the fact dogs are made welcome . A little on the pricey side and had to wait for a member of bar staff to find some wine glasses but in all , well worth it , we had a very enjoyable evening.
Great food and lovely setting
Good spot to eat on our canal trip, our third visit.
Fabulous food and service as always
Great pub, nice atmosphere, lovely food. Superb cheese board. Delighted!
Amazing. I brought my brother and sister for Sunday lunch as we have been here many times before and they absolutely loved the food.
