Nice cosy pub, lovely service, decent food.
Excellent Sunday lunch, great menu with lots of choice and no problem when dairy free options requested. Delicious food.
Coffee is really bad
Excellent evening celebrating daughter’s birthday with family members. Everything was perfect would highly recommend.
Excellent - as always! Thanks
Excellent meal again.
Food and drink - very good (my fillet steak came covered with sauce when I'd requested (when asked) for it to be on the side, however it was still very good. Good atmosphere Excellent service We requested extra bread for starter - we were told it would be 50p - we were charged £1.00 for 2 very small scraps of bread .. very disappointing and detracted from the whole experience...
I understand the 'A Team' were at an awards ceremony the day we were there. 11 out of 10 then for the 'B Team'!!! Excellent as always - thanks very much for looking after us. Meal was first class.
Beautiful high quality meal as always, Lovely ingredients locally sourced. Well cooked and presented. We will be back soon.
A fantastic lunch, great value lunch special. Amazing food with a difference. Will certainly be back for more.
We had a wonderful lunch with you yesterday. The food could not be faulted - absolutely gorgeous! However, as has been the case several times previously, the service is not brilliant. Each member of staff is polite and relatively helpful but the length of wait between main and dessert is pretty poor. We have mentioned this on a prior visit and were told then that there is no dedicated dessert ‘chef’ or station. Thus, when we had finished our mains and ordered our pudding, we were having to wait for those who, in the interim, had ordered main courses for them to go out before the chef could get round to the desserts. We believed that this ‘routine’ was under review but, after visiting yesterday and having to wait over 40 minutes for our 2 desserts - both cold with no cooking required - to be delivered to our table, it clearly has not been fully addressed. An idea could be to maybe train some of the waiting staff to be able to plate and assemble some desserts? Yesterday, as we waited, several serving staff were half-heartedly polishing cutlery or hanging up glasses when really they could have easily made up the banoffee desert and put 3 scoops of ice cream in a bowl. I really am not criticising - the food is genuinely fantastic. But a simple, inexpensive tweak could make a massive difference to the standard of customer service offered - plus it will ensure that the tables, which are in great demand, are cleared sooner and made available to be able to accommodate even more paying customers.
Staff serving at our table were excellent. However the waiting time for both courses was far too long.
Fabulous food service and atmosphere Wonderful evening with good friends Consistently of such high standard
Another highly enjoyable evening. I supppose my only comment might be on the steak deal perhaps an alternative to the 'peppercorn sauce'? But that is perhaps being picky!!
Well worth the traveling shall be back.
The food was of a good standard but the service was patchy and appeared to be disorganised. We waited for over 45 minutes for our food. From the time we ordered nobody visited our table to check or to explain any delay. We tried on many occasions to catch the eye and to call a waitress but they all seemed to rush past. When the food arrived it appeared to have been standing for a while as the gravy/jus on each plate was slightly congealed. Despite this, as mentioned, the food was tasty.
Just one word - excellent. As always! Sorry - that was three!
Food was absolutely top.class.. Service was great too, friendly and attentive.
We had lemon sole paupiettes and it was so fresh and absolutely delicious and something I definitely wouldn’t make at home. The staff were very pleasant and natural and quick to assist.
First class food in a first class restaurant. In my opinion there is no better place to eat in Swansea.
The Plough and Harrow is the jewel in the Crown of murton. The food is divine and the staff are lovely. There is such a warm atmosphere. 12 of us went and nobody was kept waiting. My brother spilled some wine jnto his fillet steak and they kindly fetched him a fresh one. That is excellent service.
Extremely pretentious. Stacking up my Sunday lunch is unacceptable to me. It seems it is presented this way to hide the scarcity of meat beneath. I like my Yorkshires dry. You don’t give any choice in matter. Long delay between getting meat and then vegetables to follow. Should come exactly at same time Swede was tasty but unfortunately not enough and stone cold. The red cabbage with cloves? Over powered everything else. Was not nice and should go. Piling vegetables together in one small bowl, again, unacceptable! I have had far, far better lunches elsewhere. Portions could be bigger for the price. Sorry but won’t be back in a hurry.
