Amazing meal, service and atmosphere. We left very happy - thank you!
Too noisy need to consider some sound noise reduction / noise barriers.
Waiter brought the wrong wine and we didn't have the heart to ask him to change it - the girls drank it anyway and then ordered a second bottle of the same!
Just excellent food! Every time.
Always wonderful at the plough.
Chose from the Lounge menu. Excellent food. Slightly delayed service on mains but this was addressed very proactively with desserts given gratis. Very generous and greatly appreciated. A really enjoyable evening for our family.
Fantastic as always we will definitely be back again soon Thankyou
First time and won’t be the last it was great Thankyou for a lovely evening. Staff were great
An award willing Sunday lunch. Brought friends with us this time and they were also impressed!
Fabulous food and service, you are made to feel welcome.
Fantastic as always We are back next Friday Thanks for a lovely evening
Excellent food and atmosphere. Would recommend!
Excellent food and good service but very noisy and difficult to hold a conversation This was due to our being next to a very noisy table of around 6 or 7 inconsiderate people
Food is excellent.
The food was just nice, but I was expecting more for the money we paid. I got asked for my food order by a guy literally as soon as I sat down, but never got asked if we wanted drinks so had to flag someone down. For bistro pub of the year as it stated, I'd definitely expect more. On the plus side the atmosphere was lovely and the singer had a great voice.
Absolutely outstanding. I would go so far to say, the best Sunday lunch I have ever had. Food is excellent, wonderfully melt in the mouth, tender beef with a great selection of vegetables. Served hot. My husband had a duck and pomegranate starter, which again was first class. We were so full we could not eat a dessert. We will be back however and try harder to leave sufficient room for a dessert! Fabulous, friendly staff. We will be back very soon. Many thanks to you all.
Lovely evening, good food , helpful and friendly service. Will definately return.
After previously having the P & H's Sunday lunch we decided to try their Thursday Steak night. Two steaks and a bootle of wine for £36. As usual great food and superb value for money. Will be back soon!!
Delightful experience with delicious food
Excellent food, and good local beers on tap. This was a birthday celebration and it was well worth the visit. Will be coming again for a Sunday roast dinner. Delicious!
Service was slow and we had to ask for someone to come take our order. We had a few fussy eaters and asked if the chicken popcorn dish could be turned into an adults portion. We were shocked to then be charged £16 for basically chicken nuggets and chips, the adult mains were only £14. This felt really poor value. The food was ok. The triple cooked chips were soft, and not crunchy as they should be. The burgers were not pink. Portion sizes were very generous. Food was quite slow coming as we had said we were in a rush, but did appreciate we were a big party size. All in all an ok experience but could have been better.
Great evening spent with old friends
Great food and service with a smile, steak cooked to perfection.
Fab food to be fair. The order wasn’t quite what we asked for but what came was delicious and we will definitely be back soon. Well worth a visit.
We visited as a party of 12 for my wife's birthday. We picked the Plough and Harrow as we have had a number of good meals and Sunday lunches at this Gastro pub. Lunch on a Sunday is truly special at the Plough and Harrow and not your normal carvery!! In addition to a great selection of Roasts you can have a "Dual" Roast of Pork and Beef which is a delight with the homemade yorkies and superb selection of vegetables. Not too mention the new wine list for 2019. Thank you so much, everyone enjoyed the Birthday celebration.
