Starters priced pretty high yet small portions especially the cockles and laverbread. Mains perfect. Service and covid aware excellent.
Always excellent that's why we keep returning thank you
First time visiting the Plough & Harrow. I must say, it was amazing! I really liked the warm welcome that was given and professional explanation of how the service would be provided and expectations of us as guests during Covid19. This can become daunting when visiting new places because each place has their own ways of implementing the rules. I felt completely at ease the whole time. The food in itself was fantastic, I had the Sunday duo comprising of beef and pork. The meat was delicious and perfectly cooked. The veg was seasoned lovely and the Yorkshire pudding was the perfect amount of crispy and soft. I often find Sunday lunches can be spoilt very easily with a watery/tasteless gravy, in this case it certainly was a highlight of the meal. The gravy was rich and tasty, it really elevated the food and complimented the meal. I would highly recommend a Sunday lunch here and cannot wait to see what the remainder of the offering is like on other days after setting the bar this high with this experience. I most certainly will be back and look forward to returning again. Keep up the great work!
Lovely staff and food as always.
Lovely food and great atmosphere
Always stunning food, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.
Great steak night with friends, we thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely return to try more on the menu..oh and those onion rings 😋
Excellent food . however 45 minute wait for a starter and 45 minute wait for mains, booked a table at 7pm, only 3 other tables had customers.
Great food and service.
Great afternoon, fab food, service and atmosphere, can’t wait for next visit 👍
Incredible beef Sunday dinner, a real treat. Meat, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and the vegetables were delicious, as was the gravy. Would highly recommend.
As always, the best Sunday roast by a country mile. Food great, service great and felt very Covid secure. Keep up the great work, Nick and team.
Could not have been happier with both the Service and the Food.
Consistently excellent on all levels. Food, service and atmosphere all brilliant. A firm favourite.
What a lovely surprise, food was outstanding
Friendly staff, good service, lovely food
What a lovely restaurant. Perfect.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. The pub has made a real effort with Covid safety measures and as a result it feels a safe place to eat.
Really enjoyed. Lovely location and really nice pub.Everything was very high quality. Looking forward to visiting regularly. Excellent.
Excellent food and service
Let me start by saying that our food was absolutely FANTASTIC. We visited for Sunday lunch as a group of four, I had the mussels to start which were delicious and the Beef and pork duo for my main course, wow, everything was outstanding. However, service was extremely slow, we arrived at 1pm and left at 4pm, only having two courses and one drink. It took a while to have our order taken, which was fine. Between courses there wasn’t much of a wait but when it came to our mains everything came out quite stunted, our mains arrived with the veg, then there was a bit of a wait for a leek and cauliflower cheese and eventually the stuffing we ordered. Not once were we asked if we would like anymore drinks and our table was only checked on once for the duration of our visit. We were waiting a while to get our bill and even longer to pay. All in all, service needs a bit of love to meet the standards of the wonderful food! Will definitely return and will most likely be dreaaaming about that gravy for the foreseeable!
Sunday Lunch was delicious. Service lacked, order was delivered wrong twice and long waits between courses.
Always good and consistent, food fabulous and the choice of drinks etc. Staff great too.
