This is the fourth time I have been here and it gets better every time, great food, great service and a very warm welcome. I have to travel over 50 miles to visit and definitely worth the journey. Looking forward to going back soon and taking my family to enjoy this beautiful Gastropub. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed as usual
Perfect food and excellent service Highly recommended
A group of 4 of us came in the evening and had another lovely meal with great service and atmosphere. Lovely homemade bread with proper salty butter was presented to the table. We had mussels and Camembert to share which was very tasty followed by turkey, goose and venison burger which was all again nicely presented and tasty. We had delicious creme brûlée with blueberries served with shortbread to follow.
Amazing service and food
The main course took absolutely ages to come (about an hour) and no one came over to inform us about the wait, we felt invisible. An empty glass was collected from the table with no offer of another drink, In the end i went up to the bar to order one. It seems like you have to chase the staff to ask for everything, and a bit more personality wouldn’t go a miss, but saying all this the food was very good
Our steaks were inedible yet we were still charged for them. Honestly terrible
Superb starter and three mains - all excellent, especially the slow roasted belly pork.
Food consistently delicious, good choice on wine list, friendly ambiance and lovely staff. What more could you ask for?
Great food, great venue, it is one of our favorites
Fantastic meal and great service Always an excellent experience Local gem, highly recommended
Excellent. We have been many times and it’s always a great experience
Amazing food! Definitely gonna be coming back
Food excellent, very well presented and delicious. The dining area became extremely noisy 2 large groups arrived. We couldn’t hear ourselves talking so we moved to a quieter area in the bar. Won’t be visiting on a Sat night again.......preferably midweek.
We visited with friends exactly a year ago, and took the opportunity to return. Still excellent.
Brilliant birthday celebrations in The Plough and Harrow this evening.....the usual fantastic food all served by the lovely Alice.
Best Sunday roast I've eaten in a restaurant. Excellent service; attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely be coming back.
Lovely meal ...food was first class and the service was excellent. We had our granddaughter with us and the staff were lovely towards her. Would definitely recommend to friends and family
Highly recommend and have done to all my family and friends! One of the best Sunday roasts, if not THE best Sunday roast we’ve had. Will be returning to try the rest of the menu!
Had our anniversary meal on sunday. Very impressed with the level of quality of the food and service. Thank you to all who made it a lovely experience. Luke and emma
Excellence service, the triple cooked chips were not up to your usual standard but apart from that we had all had an excellent meal, thank you
Consistently excellent food in a city where good food is rare.
Lovely meal at The Plough & Harrow for my girlfriend’s birthday. The service from staff was excellent as always. Quality of the food and value for money is outstanding. Will be back soon!
This is the third year we have chosen The Plough & Harrow to eat during our week away. This year we took our friends there to eat - I think that speaks for itself!
