About The Potting Shed at The Grove
Service was good, atmosphere was good, entertainment was superb but the one thing that let the evening down slightly was the food. Maybe it’s a personal thing but I would prefer the cooked items to be hot - not lukewarm to cold. Overall though it was a most enjoyable evening.
Excellent evening on a dark wet autumn night. Fireworks display was brilliant and the evening felt very well organised, professional but relaxed. A very different night but that was the appeal. Would highly recommend and no doubt will be booking again next year.
Very uplifting event on a dark winters evening with fabulous blues music, southern cuisine, great atmosphere and charming people, topped off with glamorous fireworks display; Great for the Soul!
Had a great evening from the welcome drink, fireworks, Johnny Walker tasting to the lovely buffet and Ton Seals band. Nice location with good service.
We had an amazing evening from start to finish. It was extremely well executed and of the highest standard. We loved the firework display and blues band.
I booked the full package with the outdoor cinema. While the dinner and drinks was brilliant it was let down by 2 drunk women at the cinema that talked and was generally loud and kept getting up and down through the movie. The staff tried to move but didnt get them moved until a few guests got up to them as it was ruining the movie. The experience was really good except for this and I feel the staff didnt intervene quick enough or remove them quick enough which was a let down.
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening at this event. It was well put together, making a great night out and the staff were lovely, especially our waitress Chloe. we would have scored it a 5 all the way through had it not been for a few issues. The food was more of a buffet, the hot items were no longer hot and prawns had dried out. We paid extra to have coffee at the end of the meal but in my opinion this should have being included. Settling the bill at the end was a little chaotic with only one card machine working, this resulted in a few of us missing the start of the film.
Really lovely setting and food but alcohol very expensive and asking if you want water at start of your meal then be charged £5.50 is a bit cheeky.
This was NOT a barbeque, it was a served indoors, pre-cooked buffet. Everything was lukewarm, there was no bread or rolls, or choice of any carbs except potatoes. No green salad. Lighting was not dimmed for the band session. No prompt was given that the film was about to start. Just awful. I’ve been to The Grove several times before and this was just way below standard.
The Overtures were brilliant, they had everyone up dancing and singing, you wanted them to stay on longer. The food was great, just as you expect from the Grove, as was the service, our waitress was very attentive and kept checking we were okay for food and drinks. We had a lovely evening and hope you do it again.
Lovely evening at the band & bbq night. Great food and the band were brilliant
