About The Phoenix
The Phoenix restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in our stunning dining room or on our beautiful terrace (weather permitting). Drawing on more than a half century of culinary heritage, The Phoenicia’s Executive Chef – Daniel has created a contemporary classic offering, deeply rooted in his philosophy of conscious eating. All our dishes are inspired by local ingredients, the freshest of produce or Maltese culinary traditions.
It a perfect venue for some quite pampering dinner. Loved the food, the service and atmosphere. Will be back soon
Excellent food and service. It was a lovely experience dining in a relaxed environment.
Good food and great service.
It was a unique experience. We will certainly visit again.
It's nice to be pampered - some more little things such as candles / flower for ladies etc would be the cherry on the cake!
Starter rabbit porchetta was too spicy. Otherwise everything else was excellent!
The food was delicious. All staff were very helpful and attentive
Good value for money and great atmosphere
A very comfortable terrace in peace and quiet with an amazing view. Great service, well prepared drinks and great quality all round. Great value for money for what is offered and would recommenced it to anyone. Top of the 5 star hotels in Malta without question.
We will soon be back!!
Excellent dinner experience!
Although the Service was very professional, helpful and polite, we can only give 3 stars because waiting time between courses was way too long. Also we were not happy about it that we could not order from the a la carte menu. There was no vegetarian dish included in the set menu and the only thing offered instead was pasta pesto. Not really good value for money considering I paid 32 euro for the meal.
Love the place will go again
Beyond expectation, the whole experience, including Food, Service and Atmosphere was incredible. Truly recommendable.
Well done, thanks & keep it up, cu very soon. Regards, Rudolph & Rosanna
Absolutely perfect! The best place to go for a luxury brunch experience in Malta. I am very pleased to have experienced the brunch excellence at Phoenicia - it is by far the only place in Malta offering a 5 star experience. Fantastic value for the €35 we paid per person.
We had a very enjoyable brunch. The range of food was excellent and the service could not have been better. A great way to relax on a Saturday in Valletta and very good value for money.
Dear Mr Orr, Many thanks for taking the time to review your experience for Brunch at The Phoenix. We are glad that you enjoyed it and do hope to welcome you back in the not too distant future. Best, Thomas Agius Ferrante Hotel Manager
We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Phoenix. Service and food were perfect and the place simply strikes a pose with European grand hotel glam. A must if you look for an upscale dining experience!
The atmosphere was amazing, the service offered made us feel incredibly special and valued. There was absolutely nothing to fault in the service, the food, or any other aspect of the experience.
We had an altogether pleasant evening, the service the food and the place all met our expectations.. We will definitely be back Mr & Mrs R Azzopardi
Overpriced for what you get. While food was good I expected something more ‘wow’ Same applies to the bar. 16 euros for a Glenmoramgie is more expensive than at the Waldorf in London Pity as the ambiance is beautiful and staff are very helpful
We were in the Festive Season, yet the decor around us was very poor indeed. There was no atmosphere at all. We were at The Dome in Edinburgh for Christmas and I suggest someone from your establishment to visit this place to see what decor is all about. Compared to this The Phoenicia / Phoenix was a non starter. The food was cold and the vegetables overcooked and burnt. Total disgrace. The drinks although ordered in good time for the New Year never arrived and I had to go to the bar to get them myself past midnight. Why was a Maltese person charged different (less) to me for two glasses of champagne, because I ordered my drinks in English? Total disgrace and totally unacceptable. I thought being at the Phoenicia would be a special occasion, unfortunately it was the WORST New Years Eve I ever experienced. Those concerned should hang their heads in shame. You describe The Phoenix as........... their his nothing stunning about the Phoenix. I have dined and visited some of the best dining places in the world, yours was by far The WORST.
Dear Mr Portanier, Many thanks for taking the time to review your experience on New Year's Eve. I am so sorry to read that what should have been a special occasion was such a disappointment. Lino Sciberras, our restaurant manager will be in contact to apologise and further understand what went wrong for your table on the night in order to allow us to take corrective action where necessary. With my apologies once again, Thomas Agius Ferrante Hotel Manager
Though the food was good, it s quality does not match the superbness of the Phoenicia Hotel..it is more food you eat at a Bistro or cafeteria.
First time dining there but would definitely return.
