(From time to time, we offer our Orangery menu in this restaurant for lunch).
Our Orangery is ideal for those looking for a more relaxed, light, casual, dining experience, open daily for Lunch between Midday & 2pm, and for Dinner from 6pm - 9pm.
Whether coming with your family, straight from work, popping in after a bracing walk, or with your dog, we will be delighted to welcome you.
We booked a meal & not aware on booking that this would be a 3 course meal at £35 each. We normally only share nibbles for starters & then have a main course. We were informed when Sat at our table & felt you were cashing in on government eat in help out, food was lovely but not what we wished for. We went to Cliftonville night before & they were happy with what ever we required. Cliftonville I would recommend but would be apprehensive on recommending yourselves as feel you have not come across transparent or trustworthy which is a shame as we were thinking of booking a long weekend away with yourselves. On your website there is no mention of a set menu & price...maybe have 2 courses at a set price & 3 courses at a set price. Your reception staff Mary who took my booking when I telephoned was excellent & an asset to your company.
Super slick service .... exceptional food and setting
Love coming to The Pheasant. The staff go out of their way for you, the food is excellent and lunch was a delight sitting in the lovely garden. We will be back again soon
Excellent food. Very friendly and welcoming staff. First time diner. Very impressed. Will be returning on a regular basis.
We love going to the Pheasant. The venue is clean, beautifully decorated with plenty of space to move round. The food is excellent, plenty and very well presented. The staff are excellent, very helpful and exceedingly polite. If we could we would move in
Wonderful place, always visit when we are in Norfolk, it’s really special and the staff are so polite. The food is amazing as usual.
well its become a weekly occurrence at the moment bringing an assortment of friends .. who all really enjoy the experience. ... good food attentive staff and Jennifer is adapt at sorting out our various requests!!!! Small touches like complementary. still and sparking and rolls are what makes this stand out .. cost to you negligible ... but it’s all part of the guest relations experience ... all to often the dine out experience is one of feeling exploited from start tk finish. But here the ambiance and general feeling of being wanted whether it’s just coffee or full lunch is special. We live in norwich. but the trip to walk up muckleburgh hill and then coffee or lunch in your elegant relaxed and beautiful setting. is the icing on the cake. We always rent a cottage in holt i’m feb or march for a month and visit yiu each week then as well. Thanks best regards Andrew ( what a load of gushing waffle .. ha ha ) see you next week!!
Slow to take payment but a lovely visit as always.
Totally blown away! Amazing food, our best meal on the coast without a doubt. Will certainly be revisiting. 5 ***** Don’t hesitate, beautiful setting, top quality food and lovely service xxxx
Over all a very good experience
The food was excellent and the staff very attentive.
Great service and lovely staff, particularly our waitress. Plenty of space, lots of sanitiser and felt really quite safe. Thank you to The Pheasant.
A lovely afternoon spent sitting in the beautiful garden in very comfortable seating where we enjoyed delicious food served by friendly, efficient staff. Will definitely be back. Sue Osborne
All very positive.
I had a most enjoyable birthday lunch enhanced by the friendly and obliging staff.
The food was exceptional! The speed of service could have been better balanced. It was a little slow to start but then our mains came immediately after our starters so it felt a bit rushed. Then once we had finished, it took a long time for our plates to be cleared and to get the bill. It felt as though the afternoon tea service took over a little, even though it didn't seem particular busy. Overall the food and setting was lovely though. Thank you!
Very nice and spacious but it would be handy if there was a notice inside the main door telling you to enter the restaurant via the bar area.
It was amazing!!!
Our first afternoon tea since lockdown. Would definitely recommend It. We felt very safe. Tables well spread out. Food and service ...brilliant
Food and service excellent, we will definitely be back soon
First class all round and attention to bio hygiene excellent
The children of diners at the adjacent table were free-ranging without regard to social distancing. There needs to a specific area for family dining.
A lovely lunch and so nice to see The Pheasant open again.
We were extremely disappointed on our visit this week especially with your covid arrangements , our visits to other restaurants they took our tempature on arrival, had social distancing stickers on the floor and had a one way system for arrival and departure, none of this at the Pheasant extremely disappointed, we will not be coming again. PLUS poor value for the food.
We had a fabulous afternoon. The staff was welcoming and friendly and the food and drinks gorgeous and delicious. One of us had his birthday (we mentioned when booking) and he received a special message and dessert, which was a lovely gesture. We will be back soon.
