About The Pembroke Arms
We offer locally-sourced seasonal food with plenty of choice. Our menu is extensive, consisting of the classic British dishes we've all grown to love but most with a twist. You'll find Middle-Eastern influence throughout, and an interesting section for vegans and vegetarians.
Our homemade Pembroke Pies have become a local favourite. Hard to resist and hard to finish. All served with mash potato or chunky chips, and naturally with plenty of gravy.
We serve our wine from a small but perfectly formed wine list starting from £15.00 a bottle, and we offer our ever-changing guest ales at only £3.50 a pint.
No tail coats, starch or presumption - we hope you enjoy our friendly and relaxed dining.
Always a fantastic meal, service & restaurant atmosphere
Really enjoy your Sunday Roasts.
Pleasant evening with friend 2 nights before "Lockdown 2". Good food, friendly service and great value.
A favourite of ours!
We met up with family for Sunday lunch. Everything about our visit was great. We felt Covid safe. The food was delicious. Two of us had roasts, these were excellent with good portions and quality meat. The selection of vegetables also was good. There was a choice of delicious desserts, the only suggested improvement would be custard to be available as an alternative to cream/ice cream. One of the nicest things was the ambience, some lovely decorations were up and a fire burning. The staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. We will be back as soon as possible after shut down.
Lovely as always. Great place.. Great food
Lovely evening, the BEST pies and great service. We will be back very soon!
I’ve eaten here a number of times recently and every single time the food has been great, service has been great and I’ll keep coming back! Thank you!
It was my wife’s birthday and the staff really looked after us and made the evening very enjoyable. Food was fantastic
The food was delicious - menu appealing but sadly number of choices not available even though our reservation was early in the evening
Wonderful reception and great food..
5 family members met at The Pembroke Arms and had a delicious lunch with friendly polite staff. All the Covid regulations were in place and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Service was great. We were early for our booking but was able to seat us immediately especially as it was a Sunday afternoon! The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing, the pie is just on another level! Highly recommend for a relaxed lunch with great service
Bloody good food!
Very nice food. Good portion sizes.
Use it or lose it! Relevant comment for these times. I think. Excellent Sunday roasts.
Many thanks for the warm welcome and family-friendly experience. We all loved our meal and will visit again when we're in the area.
Dining at The Pembroke Arms is always delightful. The chicken pie was excellent and service thoughtful, yet attentive. Thank you so much! If ever I am working in the area I always choose to eat at The Pembroke Arms. Can't rate it highly enough.
Excellent environment and delicious food. A pleasure to visit.
This was a really outstanding lunch. All four of our party ordered the Pembroke pies and thoroughly enjoyed them. The desserts were just as excellent. We were served by friendly, helpful and attentive waitresses who were obviously well trained. We live in Devizes but we are happy to travel for the enjoyment of dining at The Pembroke Arms. We hope to do so often.
Friendly staff and good service. Had a lovely lunch sitting in the first room with the fire going. I had the Steak & Kidney pie which was a very generous size too much for me but very nice. Thank you Pembrook Arms
Very enjoyable meal, the calve's liver was excellent
Lovely food and amazing staff who were beyond helpful
This is a second visit and we were very disappointed this time. The service was very good, quick and polite. We ordered starters which were excellent, however both main courses were a major let down. I had the chicken and blue cheese salad and the whole thing was swimming in blue cheese sauce so that it overpowered all of the other elements of the dish. The other main that was ordered was the calf's liver. It was seared on one side only and the other side of the liver looked like it had been boiled as there was no colour. The texture was soggy and the whole thing didn't tast like it had been seasoned at all. It definitely wasn't worth what we paid for it and unfortunately won't be going back again.
