About The Parkhouse
Situated near bustling Hobsonville Point, The Parkhouse Eatery offers a fresh, modern escape. With its high ceilings, trendy interior, and low-hanging lights, you can see why it’s become a Whenuapai local. If their wood-fired pizza or insane brunch menu hasn’t enticed you already, there’s a playground right out front to keep the kids busy!
The food was exceptional, bathrooms very clean (especially appreciated when taking a toddler to the toilet 3 or 4 times over lunch), and backing onto the park is great too.
Lovely family restaurant
Lovely venue & atmosphere. Plenty of room & space. Food is lovely & friendly staff Thanks
Average food, odd menu combo, used to be much better. No pizza. No kombucha anymore. Felt very disorganised, food came out at different times, had to wait ages to talk to staff. Won't be rushing back, no where near as good as it was before.
Great place, service was a bit slow considering there were only 3 tables.
We would never return to Parkhouse. We had an extremely disappointing evening. Long wait. Not being advised of an entree that could not be supplied, instead waiting until we asked where it was to be told we have run out of that. One main coming out before an entree, and not the entree they could not supply. Reason for poor service was blamed on kitchen not being able to cope with a large booking. If that was going to be the case they should not have accepted other bookings. The last straw was the pizzas had to be cooked in the oven in the kitchen instead of the Pizza oven because they had allowed it to get too hot. and it was burning the pizzas I ask you. Shirley Mackay
Parkhouse is lovely, the food is beautiful, complements to the chef, the staff are very friendly, polite, and welcoming, totally recommend going here we definitely we go again.
We have not visited the park house in a few months, it appears to have changed ownership. The quality of the food is no longer great. Unlikely we will return.
Service was poor at best. So many examples of how they could improve but my fingers would tire! Worst part was my pregnant wife having a coughing fit and was charged $1.50 for some hot water! Never again! I believe this place recently changed management, I assume it won’t be long before it does again!
The staff were lovely. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the food was good
Beautiful, fun place, especially with kids! We enjoyed it very much!
First time there, lovely setting, hard to find a nice restaurant out west, but this ticked a lot of boxes. We will be back
Great location, prompt service and friendly staff! Ideally just try to bring the mains out at roughly the same time :)
The limited range of food available on a Monday was my only concern. Even this reduced express menu didn't have 3 items available including, surprisingly fish and chips. Nevertheless we enjoyed what we did get.
Booking not in the. Book although booked and confirmed by web site. Food took over an hour to arrive and only came one meal at a time. First person in party had finished before last meal arrived.
Espresso martini was very strange..bitter tasting. Food lovelt qnd staff friendly.
Comfortable environment. Friendly, helpful staff. thank you
The night we went to the Parkhouse, there were no entree, dessert or kids meals available, which we thought was a bit bazaar. We were offered water when we arrived, which was great. The restaurant was only serving main meals. Apparently the restaurant has new owners. After our first drink, we all wanted to order another drink. We waited for some time, but there were no staff around, so we got up and decided to leave. The main meals were pretty good, especially the chips and aioli.
Arrived at 1230 and weren’t served until 1250. Food arrived 30 mins later. No cutlery with first orders, had to get own serviettes, water jug not refreshed. Food blender at the counter drowned out all conversation making smoothies for customers - often. Not a pleasant experience. New owners have much to learn.
Nice burgers but no dessert on menu. Staff seemed to be battling in a recent change of ownership as to what food options were and the drinks selection
We enjoyed a lovely relaxing evening with great food, friendly staff and good service.
After 20mins of waiting for someone to come and take our order we were then told most of the food had run out! No burgers, chicken, chips. We got up and left
Great family spot with playground for kids.
Very sorry to know Roy is selling and staff have resigned; it was our very favourite cafe in Whenupai: I hope all goes well for everyone involved. Sheryle
Had a lovely time and special thanks to the staff for being so friendly with my very smiley baby who loves to wave at everyone. Will be back again soon!
