The venue, staff and atmosphere were fabulous. We had lots of changes and Dan was so flexible and helpful. We love the bar downstairs and The Parade Room was perfect for our group. The service was just great, friendly, fun and attentive. The soup was inedible, like pureed garlic, you could actually hold it above your head and it didn't move. If it is not a soup I don't think you should call it one? - very disappointing for those of us who had it. I think we all would have preferred to have tapas lunch menu rather than what we had to have, we wouldn't have it again.
A perfect Sunday lunch for 6 of us. Food was amazing and our waiter was very helpful, polite and friendly. This was our second visit in two months and we will no doubt be back soon!
We had an excellent evening on Thursday 6th December. The bar staff and restaurant staff were all brilliant, particularly Shaun who worked in the restaurant - really excellent service and chat. The food was incredible, everyone loved it. Thanks to all for a fantastic evening.
My husband brought me here for a birthday dinner. The food was delicious. Atmosphere was superb. The waiting staff worked tirelessly as a team, knew the menu and recommended items from it. Well done to all. We will be back for more!
Enjoyed a fantastic company party here. Staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to make a brilliant night. Food was exceptional and service could not be faulted. Highly recommend!!!
Stunning food, amazing venue and friendly informative staff - I will be back! LOTS
Fantastic service, fantastic food, without doubt, my favourite bar/restaurant 5*
Excellent service from making the reservation to the meal itself. Cocktails were lovely and the food delicious! We all had a brilliant night.. thank you
Great environment with good food and great service - would highly recommend
Had a superb pre-theatre supper at Parade last evening. The menu was really well curated and the dishes perfectly executed, with unusual combinations which actually worked, and a good veggie/fish selection. Our waiter was charming, making great recommendations for both the food and wine, was very knowledgeable and attentive. We took him up on his suggestion of a Chapel Down Bacchaus which worked excellently with my husband's cod and my celeriac steak. And we shared a great take on the humble 'crumble' served in a filo case, giving it a super contrast to the light topping. Just wish we had somewhere like this local to us in SW Herts - we'd definitely be regulars! Credit to the chef and staff - but it should be better promoted and marketed and be busier on a Weds eve with a full theatre. Only slight criticism - the hot dishes could have been served hotter.
Delightful. Delicious food (we had the lamb and the celeriac), efficient and friendly service, and a warm and welcoming ambience in a beautifully restored and unique premises. My only negative comment is that it wasn't immediately obvious that we needed to go through the very busy bar to discover the Parade Room.
Waitress was excellent, all food outstanding( only puddings could have been even better) great menu fabulous food; will come back to try more
All food very good - the bread and nibbles were particularly so and a very neat touch.
I've been to the parade room numerous time as you can always guarantee fabulous food and service. The food and cocktails are exceptional
We were impressed by food and service in particular. I think the only problem you have is that the food doesn’t match the ambience/atmosphere in the building with raucous parties etc going on round you - it didn’t bother us but not sure it would suit a romantic dinner out even though it is different upstairs. Going to the loo wasn’t great experience! But staff were all lovely and we hope you do well.
Fantastic evening. Cannot fault food, service or atmosphere. Unique building with so many original features.
Food was amazing and the service was great too! Definitely worth the money and will be back again. Had a slight wait in between courses but that’s the only fault we had!
Outstanding again. We had a lovely time
We’ve been a few times and have enjoyed each visit. We live locally and we like to support independent restaurants rather than go to the big chains. Table 12 upstairs is our favourite table.
Excellent food, great friendly service, will go again
Food was absolutely superb. Service was friendly, but they did serve the wrong wine by the glass - we actually asked for the most expensive one so it was a loss of profit for the restaurant! It was very quiet in the restaurant so not much atmosphere but the decoration was nice and sure if it had been busier would have been atmosphere.
In brief. We arrived to an empty restaurant for our 7pm reservation and I thought all was lost as there would be no atmosphere. How wrong I was. The quirky atmosphere was soon swallowed up for this special birthday treat. Lovely waiting staff the host for the evening was attentive and respectful (not over familiar), a high class service. Lovely touches with the Happy birthday notices on the table notice and on the dessert plate for which my partner was touched and I loved the gentle manner of this. The food. Well. It was superb! A chic london restaurant would've found it hard to compete. We were talked through the wine list and the local vineyards recommended. I will highly recommend. Thank you! Nichola Hunt and Simon Smith
Excellent and we will return. You do need to offer liqueur coffees on your menu. Recommended you to many people already.
Amazing food, a definite if you're visiting Canterbury.
