About The Oyster Store
Our restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner for both residents and non-residents.
Everything was spectacular, thank you for a wonderful evening! Best private dining room on the Isle of Wight.
We love it here our favourite place for peace and great food, drink and atmosphere. The garden is glorious in the sunshine and the staff are polite and attentive. Sunday lunch is incredible (but we don't want to tell everyone about this in case we can't get a booking) Just perfect - we love spending time here, the perfect get away and wind down from a hectic working week.
Haphazard service, menu seemed a bit limited especially starters, then that might just be personal preference. However I visited The Oyster several times this time last year and found the whole experience a lot better.
Excellent afternoon in the sunshine. Staff are very friendly and helpful, whilst having an air of professionalism. The only thing I would change is some of the chairs outside are not very comfortable.
Even on a grey day there was still a great atmosphere.
Another splendid Sunday lunch. Thank you North House Oyster Store. We love the Roast and absolutely adore the starter buffet. Keep it going.. we will be back again and again. Already looking forward to sitting in the garden soon!
On a dreary wet day in Cowes it was lovely to come for lunch at Oyster Store, the food was excellent, my rack of ribs was really delicious, as was my sisters lemon sole and my mums sirloin steak, excellent service as always and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Next time it will be great to sit in the lovely gardens, if the suns shining!
Just a stunning venue, great décor, fantastic service, lovely food, will definitely recommend you.
Always a fantastic experience, all driven by an excellent team delivering first-class service.
booked late so we were delighted to be fitted in. Cosy buzzing atmosphere and delicious food with cheerful prompt service . Delightful evening!!
Not 5 star on atmosphere as we found the room very noisy. Glad there was no background music, just the noise of folk enjoying themselves. But the acoustics made the conversation sometimes difficult for us to hear between ourselves. Attentive waiting staff and cheerful. Some of the food choices were not available (we were a 20.30 sitting), so two of the four guests had second choices - which they enjoyed. We were very impressed that the entry made with booking re food intolerances were checked when the orders were taken. Never had that before and to me it shows a respect of the individual. Excellent.
A fabulous evening- thank you
Excellent little gem in Cowes ,will definitely be returning
I just wanted to let you know how much we all enjoyed today's 60th Birthday lunch for my husband. From booking to eating it was such a lovely experience and the food and service was second to none. Your staff's attention to detail and 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude made the whole experience just lovely. Thank you all so much Maggie B
Great food and service in lovely surroundings
Had a great meal, little rushed as a large group were coming in. Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and restaurant, we look forward to coming back soon!
Great food, great service and stylish, well finished interior. Would 100% recommend.
Service was exceptional, food was well cooked and well presented. The Goan seafood curry in particular was delicious. Good wine list and wonderful atmosphere.
Fabulous place, wonderful service and excellent food! Can't wait to be sitting outside on the lovely terrace as soon as the weather warms up.
We enjoyed dinner. The food was good and well prepared. I particularly liked the bar before dinner, Over all, a very pleasant evening. My one caveat is that I think your menu is way too cautious, almost boring, particularly your starting courses. To be frank, Caesar Salad which is what I had is a cliche and really if you want the real deal should not have chicken which really adds nothing. Smoked anchovies take away from the saltiness that they add.The goat's cheese salad my partner had is also dull. I had friends for dinner the next night and did a goat's cheese salad that was frankly better, an Italian salad, simple to make and interesting. but home or brasserie like the Coast rather than fine restaurant cooking. My point is you should be doing more challenging and interesting cooking if you are aspiring to be top flight. And as for dessert, things like sticky toffee pudding I was eating nearly 50 years ago at places like the Miller Howe and Sharrow Bay in the Lake District. Again, I know these are popular but you could be doing better. Sorry about this. We really enjoyed the evening. Your service is friendly and efficient and your food is good. But if you aspire to be the best you should challenge yourself more
Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday lunch at the Oyster Store, I cant think of anything lacking, great food, atmosphere and service. Well done and keep it up ! Will return very soon for sure.
Good food, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will return again
Great food, friendly staff and a very nice venue for a private party for my wife's 30th.
Main portions were very generous, possibly a little too generous as we had no space for pudding!
We had such a lovely lunch. The venue, food and service were perfect. All very chilled out and can’t wait to get back again soon. The Daveys
