About The Oystercatcher
Seafood, Casual, Neighbourhood restaurant
Amazing fresh food and cooked really well spoilt for choice for food and wine Definitely will be going back !
Fatatstic food and service! This was my second visit and I hope to make many more.
Would definitely go back. Tasty food, lovely wee place with nice service.
Lovely meal, great atmosphere, perfect service and great value for money. What more could you ask for! Thank you. Will be back.
The food was fantastic. Every dish was perfectly cooked. Atmosphere was great and so was the service. We can’t wait to return.
Great food, interesting menu and attentive service.
The only thing I would say is that an hour and a half can be a rush. We booked at 7 to be out for 8:30. We were reminded at 8 that we had half an hour left. I’d ordered a sweet and was then tense because as it was busy it didn’t come straight away. I don’t need to be tense when out for a meal - it should be relaxing and it wasn’t for the last half hour . A shame as everything else was lovely
Incredible food, yet again. We will be back, love your restaurant & your food!
Excellent atmosphere and wonderful food
Small restaurant with beautiful fish. Warm atmosphere but a little bit cramped for space. Helpful staff with good service.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit and would definitely come back. Service was friendly and efficient, the restaurant was comfortable, and the food was excellent. The only thing I would suggest as an improvement would be that I ordered a side dish of beetroot, pomegranate and chard - that had no chard in it! It was just half a dozen beetroot chunks with pomegranate seeds sprinkled over. The beetroot was beautifully cooked but it wasn't the dish I expected. It is a pet peeve of mine that restaurant dishes are rarely properly balanced meals with a decent portion of vegetables integrated into them. I ordered the side dish because the menu didn't indicate that the crab ravioli would have any vegetables, and indeed it came with an absolutely delicious bisque sauce and a few roasted tomatoes, but I wanted a vegetable dish to complete the meal and I only really got half of one. Having said that, everything I ate - and what I tasted of my friend's food too - was delicious.
Fantastic food, evening and recommendations from the waitress
Beautiful birthday fish. Salt baked lemon sole was amazing and the Cullen skink was a great starter.
Good food and great service
Lovely food! Will recommend
Delicious food and great sevice
Great venue with lovely attentive staff delicately checking all ok. Fantastic fish course, could falt. Mussels and clam sauce a little too salty but welcomed the feedback on their new menu. Go and enjoy 😊
We really enjoyed our dinner at The Oystercatcher & the service was super friendly despite how busy & packed it was. I loved the crab cakes, tandoori monkfish & prawns and pistachio brownie.
We had a lovely time and were very well looked after. Our 12 day old son was particularly taken with the place and showed his satisfaction by staying asleep for the entire lunch. Result! The food was delicious and the staff charming. We'll be back when we can, kids permitting!
A gem. We came from deepest Hampshire to enjoy Manchester’s museums which are well worth the trip, but the oystercatcher has to rank as the top restaurant in which we had dinner. That includes the much hyped Woods. Well done especially to Dorothy who was a joy as the sole waitress. Anthony
Very enjoyable evening
We were very well looked after by our server, and the food/drink was first class, and excellent value. A wonderful way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. We will recommend you and we will also be back. Thank you.
Dorothy and the staff were great! The restaurant is really lovely and the food was amazing! I have already recommended this to everyone I have seen since and can’t wait to come back!
