It was my first time at The Olive Tree and I am certainly coming back! The food was delicious and authentic and we were very happy with the service. 5/5 !
Fantastic food and service.
I've been to The Olive Tree lots before so when my friend came to stay from Manchester it seemed like a winning choice but the service was really poor. Admittedly this was unusual but we had to ask for menu's, it took ages for our order to be taken and then when we did ask to see the dessert/drinks menu, 20 minutes later it hadn't arrived and no-one had come over so we just asked for the bill and left. I can't fault the food, I was just disappointed as I'd been raving about it all day to my friend. It doesn't mean I won't be back but fingers crossed for next time.
Ever nice evening with family.
Always a great meal
Great family style restaurant with a modern twist. Relaxed, fun atmosphere.
I love the Olive tree but do find the lighting much too bright, which I think affects the atmosphere in the evenings. This may sound like a minor detail, but I think would change the vibe a lot with dimmed or more subtle lighting.
It’s always wonderful my favourite restaurant
The service was superb, atmosphere was great, the wine was good, however the food was only ok. We tried the sharing banquet £24.95 pp, which was ok. We’ve sampled Halloumi in other local restaurants which was nicer. The calamari was tougher than most and the whitebait was soggy. The majority of the warm food gets cold quickly as it arrived altogether within 10 mins, not allowing time to eat/appreciated each plate. We would return, just not with the banquet tasting menus. All other aspects made for a good evening. Thanks
Love this place👍
Lovely little restaurant, have been a few times before and will be going back. Def make sure you book in advance as very popular. Good selection on the menu of Greek foods.
Really enjoyed our meal. Since the dishes arrived in quick succession it might not suit parties looking spend a longer evening together.
Great place to eat!
Buzzing atmosphere, delicious food and great service. Thanks very much
We had a fabulous meal for my son's 14th birthday. The service and food was fantastic and the fact that they encourage you to bring your own cake which you can eat after your meal was wonderful. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
We had a fabulous evening, the food was great and can only recommend them very highly
Always enjoy our visits to the Olive Tree. We'd prefer if the souvlakia came with a dip (tzatsiki) on the side. Staff very friendly as always
I visited with my boyfriend and we had such a wonderful evening. All staff were friendly and attentive throughout our evening. The menu is packed full of delicious dishes! We chose one of the set menu platters and it did not disappoint! Could not recommend highly enough, we cannot wait to come back again.
Thoroughly enjoyable first meal at the Olive Tree. Lunchtime on a Friday quite busy but well served. Everything tasty!!
Lovely welcoming atmosphere and excellent freshly cooked food - will go again.
Wonderful lunch, was like being transported back to Greece for a great meal. Felt like being on holiday. Portions were quite small but high quality!
Second visit to the Olive tree and it didn't disappoint. Lovely, fresh and authentic food at a good price. The swordfish skewers were amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back.
it was a little disconcerting that, wheen we arrived the first thing anyone said to us was 'You will have to keave by 8.30'. A hello and welcome would have been much better. some of the food was exceptionally good e.g the houmous, tsatziki, kalimari and mousaka. Some was not so good e.g. i dont like cold dolmades and some was awful e.g the stifado and the potatos - they were so salty as to make them pretty much inedible. At the best part of £40 a head for such small portions i think you are overpriced. We felt very rushed and for what was supposed to be a relqxing and pleasant evening we felt that we were 'on the clock' and that detracted from the whole dining experience
Delicious, fresh food served within a lovely atmosphere
