About The Old Coastguard
To be filled later
The team clearly understood what hospitality is all about. Outstanding dinner and a great breakfast too (although some local strawberries with my muesli would have made it absolutely perfect. Thanks again.
Not enough choice on prix fixe menu. Lovely view but food overpriced.
We had a wonderful lunch and relaxing afternoon
Quite a long wait between Starters and Mains but food was excellent.
Nice, relaxed & welcoming
Great meal, lovely staff !
We had a great evening. Thank you!
We had a lovely evening - great for the first day of our holiday. The food at The Old Coastguard was first class, the atmosphere was warm and friendly, with excellent service, and the location of the restaurant, with its great views, was perfect. I would recommend The Old Coastguard wholeheartedly.
Delightful, we hope to be back soon.
A really lovely team in the restaurant made our visit really enjoyable The food was fabulous. We had maker Alcatel starter and Hake main and cured mussels with Duck main. It was all delicious The view is also fabulous We could not recommend the restaurant highly enough. Wonderful
Menu limited. Overpriced.
Wonderfully atmospheric pub in Cornwall
We come regularly. Food and wine very nice. Good ambience and tables not crammed in. On this occasion (midweek out of main season) service was slow as there were quite a lot of diners and just 3 staff.
We had a wonderful night - the only reason we gave the food 4 was because there was not enough crab in the crab dish. Otherwise we would have given it 5 stars too - really great restaurant in a lovely setting
My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch on a bright sunny day. We were greeted personally, and service continued to be impeccable throughout our meal. Our food was delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you Coastguard Team.
It was difficult to understand the length of time we had to wait for our meal to arrive as the restaurant was not busy. The food could have been hotter.
We had a lovely meal as always.
A very special place with relaxed ambience, very friendly and attentive staff and delicious food too. Coastguard’s always have lots of gluten free options, even bread that tastes like it is home made. The vegetables, fish and meat choices are local and fresh and beautifully cooked. One of our very favorite places!
Enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch. Good food and varied menu.
Quick response to email booking enquiry and staff and food couldn't be faulted. Would eat here again and like to stay for a first time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our supper with a party of seven of us at the Old Coastguard. The head waiter was excellent as was all his other colleagues. They were attentive and intuitive. The food was excellent with originality, flavour and appearance. Thanks very much.
A very pleasurable Easter Sunday lunch which grandparents, parents and four children under ten and a dog were very well catered for in a relaxed environment. The sunshine was the icing on the cake !
What a spectacular way to spend Easter Sunday! The Old Coastguard impressed in every way, offering up delicious food, lovely views, and friendly and timely service. 5 stars!
Amazing place, delicious wines and paired with some really incredible food. Not too expensive either. On the busy Easter holiday the staff worked so hard over the weekend, providing excellent service - great team. Thank you very much for a memorable dining experience - particularly impressed by the wine selection.
A lovely evening having dinner at the Old Coastguard, friendly and attentive staff..my only negative was the cheese board being very overpriced for the quantity but we eat here regularly and would highly recommend it..
