About The Ninth
The Ninth is the latest project by London-based chef Jun Tanaka. Set in the heart of London’s buzzy Fitzrovia neighbourhood, the contemporary, yet warm and inviting 90-seater restaurant offers up simple but refined French Mediterranean-style dishes, all made for sharing.
The a la carte menu – available at lunch and dinner – focuses on the finest seasonal produce and vibrant, honest flavours. Specialties include house-cured meats and fish, robust French classics with Jun’s signature fresh twist, and lovingly thought-out vegetable dishes that are more than just ‘sides’.
Great place, delicious food. Service slightly slow at times but not too much of a problem - no-one likes to be rushed and the staff were very good overall. Just wish the potion size was greater!
2hrs for dinner felt a little bit too rushed, everything else was very good
Service quite slow but pleasant. Food delicious but on the expensive side.
Fabulous food, will be back
Superb food and cocktails (didn’t have wine) served in a friendly atmosphere. Would love to return to this restaurant!!
Very good indeed. Perhaps the background music could have been a shade quieter.
Beautiful little place, great service & friendly staff. Really delicious food, especially gnocchi & orecchiette but we were a bit disappointed with the Aubergine salad as the taste was rather overpowered. Overall would definitely recommend the ninth though!
Always excellent and an instant favourite with anyone I bring.
Simple but incredible food, cooked to perfection. Great service. Super friendly staff. A favourite!
great value for money.
inventive cuisine, lovely atmosphere and brilliant service.
It was our 23rd anniversary dinner and we couldn’t have asked for better . It was one of our best dining experiences in a Michelin started restaurant ( and we have been to a few in LA / Lyon and Barcelona ) Perfect ! Dreamy and wishing continued success . Will definitely recommend and come back
All good except restaurant was too warm, perhaps because it was full.
We had a late lunch table, so we were the only table left which is the only reason I’ve given 3 stars for atmosphere. Everything else was awesome.
Excellent food with polite and efficient service. Better than my first visit and will return.
Amazing food, drink and atmosphere. Our server was a little slow with clearing plates, bringing clean cuttlery and order drinks. But overall, we had a great evening.
Absolutely delicious especially the lamb as well as the polenta from lunch menu. The balance of taste from the ingredient blend so well with the food served.
Had a lovely anniversary meal with my wife, brilliant food in an unassuming atmosphere. It proves that fine dining doesn't need to be stuffy.
We really enjoyed our meal, particularly the oysters and scallops with risotto
Great food! Pork belly was amazing
Stunning food, a beautiful little find of a restaurant
The food was delicious. We were sat at the bar, but felt the gusts of wind through the front door curtain. The service was not what you’d expect from a one star restaurant. Whilst the man behind the bar was friendly, we always felt we were disturbing his bar job....it felt as though we were being looked after by the bar tender. The person that delivered the food seemed to do it in a clunky way.
Excellent value for money, delicious food with a very reasonably priced wine list. Will certainly be back.
Absolutely fantastic evening. Food was delicious and service was excellent
The food was delicious and we would love to come back and try the dinner menu! I loved the polenta dish from the lunch menu, it was mind blowing! Thanks
