About The New Packhorse
Hello and a very warm welcome to The New Pack Horse at Moorside, Cleckheaton. We’re a freehold local village pub and restaurant offering a warm welcome and a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a few drinks with friends or a great place to enjoy some wonderful home cooked food you’ve found the right place.
Our well equipped bar offers a great choice of beers, wines and spirits – including real ales (if real ales don’t tickle your fancy maybe our extensive cocktail menu is more your thing)
Food wise everything is prepared from scratch, using the best local ingredients we can get our hands on to provide an excellent value menu full of popular British meals, lighter bites are available at lunch time and on Sundays we offer a full roast with all the trimmings.
If you are already a customer then thank you for your custom and we hope to see you again soon – and if you haven’t tried us yet, what are you waiting for? Pop in and see us and hopefully we’ll be able to add you to our increasing list of regulars.
Enjoy it every time we come. The food was wonderful as usual. And thank you for making the kracken coffee. That needs to go in the coffee menu.
Great meal, service and atmosphere. Staff really friendly
Been for Sunday lunch with friends today and it was lovely. Food great and staff friendly. Will definitely be back.
Good pub food and a good selection of beers.
Burger was like rubber and twenty pound for a mix grill. Was way to expensive. My husband has for his steak medium and it came out bleeding.
The one comment I would make is that although the food and drink were very good, there was less choice on the menu compared to 6 months ago when we last went.
Excellent friendly service, food excellent. We were a party of 12 dining for my father's 78th birthday & nothing was too much trouble for the staff even through they were very busy with other Sunday diners. Thank you, we will all definitely revisit soon!
Lovely meal, we'll definitely be back!
Lovely friendly service
Meal was very good service was excellent very friendly and helpful
Nice cosy pub and lovely burger. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately slow service and a number of items on the menu sold out by 7.30pm. Maybe we went on a bad day was a Friday evening, but did enjoy the burger, nice chips too.
Four people enjoyed good value food and drink
Last minute booking Sunday due to faulty oven table for 6. As usual brilliant food great variety of beers and the tops is the service every time just right. Great Team
I am a regular at the new pack horse. Food was great as per normal. Good prices too with a family of five paying £72 for two courses, drinks, inc a bottle of wine. If there had to be one downside to yesterdays experience I would say the service was a little slow. It was a good twenty minutes before we had our first drinks on arrival.
Arrived early, this was no problem, excellent service as was the food we ate, thank you, we will return
4 Adults and 3 children enjoyed the food really good choice of beers great all round value for money
The food was good but the lamb shank is seriously short of vegetables. Good choice of beer and efficient service.
Great local pub. All our food was excellent, great service & good value.
Great food lovely family atmosphere
You need to change the menu from time to time .. But the meal I had was amazing.
This was our second visit to The New Pack Horse, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The food was just as we wanted it and so tasty, we will be going again.
Lovely meal thank you. The 2 young men that served us were both very polite. Personally I didnt like the minted peas and the carrots. Peas were too minty and overpowered other tastes and the carrots a bit hard, but despite that a fab meal and excellent yorkies (& that comes from a true Yorkshire lass who makes fab yorkshire puds!).
Cajun burger very spicy Food well presented and lovely
Came for father's day. Food simple and tasty.
