About The Muddlers Club Belfast
Tucked away between Waring Street & Exchange Place in the historic back street of Cathedral Quarter, The Muddlers Club has been named after the secret society that met there over 200 years ago.
Head chef & owner Gareth McCaughey hand picks the best of home grown produce daily to ensure the quality of each dish served. The open kitchen provides a sense of theatre and allows the diner to watch as ingredients are transformed into meticulously simple dishes in front of them.
With a carefully considered wine and an extensive cocktail list you will find a warm welcome at The Muddlers Club.
Great food ,well presented ,and excellent service
We have dined at the Muddlers Club before...again a very pleasant experience. Excellent food, beautifully presented. Service with smiles and courtesy all round withouit being intrusive. Good wine recommendations. Thanks all round to the front of house and kitchen. Definitely or our come again list!
Another great meal at the Muddlers Club with the best front of house service in Northern Ireland !
Amazing birthday meal, would go back!
Thank you for another excellent meal. Just phenomenal food, and the service was wonderful!
The food was delicious and the waiting staff incredibly attentive (which was perfect for the quick lunch I was having). I didn’t realise you had a Michelin star until the plates started to come out, as the price was incredibly reasonable! Can’t wait to come back for a full tasting menu! Keep up the great work!
Fantastic food, but expensive and left hungry
This was my third visit to Muddlers in just over 6 weeks and this was probably the best yet. While going frequently for a tasting menu it was good to see several of the dishes changed or updated. The wine in particular got very good reviews particularly the white burgundy - the red Barolo was good but not as good as the write up promised and the ice-wine was a notch off being great.. That being said everyone had a great night and our table of 6 were served at a rate that suited us perfectly. This was spot on for a one star Michelin restaurant and we will be back again....and again....and again if this standard remains high
Fantastic food and staff very attentive. Had a great night
The muddlers club is a must do. Unique and a dining "event". The taster menu is a fantastic way to expand your palate and experience new foods and combination of tastes. Love that it is a mixture of all chefs making your meal and each course is something that you would probably not choose from a normal menu plan. Stunningly good.. Thank you.
Food was amazing but the wine tasting value for money was poor with quantity and quality.very-rushed service as we hadn’t finished our snacks when our first course was set down. For 2 persons it was £80 and to be honest we probably only got around 2/3 of a bottle of wine between us. We could have bought 2 bottles of good wine for the same price. Not great value when other near by restaurants are doing the same for less. Very noisy restaurant.
Myself and my husband had a lovely meal at the Muddlers Club and found the staff very helpful and friendly
The service was really friendly and excellent, it made our whole experience very enjoyable. The food was also beautiful - the gluten free version of the chocolate sable dessert was arguably even better than the original version, with the added crispy texture on top. Thanks for a lovely lunch!
Love love loved the whole experience!!! Thankyou, I’ll be back!!!
Food was fantastic ... fab afternoon, great service too. Thank you.
Great service and the food was excellent 😀
Fabulous food and great service!
Food was amazing. I enjoyed the pre starter chefs selection which was complimentary. We went with the 2 course wine pairing and it was fabulous. Our waitress was so well informed about the wines. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend Muddlers
We loved the experance of it all, it was a real out out night. Loved not knowing what was coming next and the matched wines made the night. Staff where fantastic and relaxed not overpowering, really good guys. At every course I looked forward to hearing all about each of the wines the wine waiter new his stuff The food was amazing every mouth full was full of flavour, cant wait to come back. J
Excellent from arrival to departure. Helpful staff, who were ever present but not in your face. Food was full of flavour and well served . The menu was fully explained , and our waiter Jamie was very pleasant and most helpful throughout the meal.
Balanced plates of quality seasonal ingredients.
Enjoyed a birthday lunch with my wife. I was however surprised that they didn't stock no (or low) alcohol beer/lager. Food portions small but well presented. Would have stayed for coffee but did not have the option of skimmed or semi-skimmed milk for flat whites!
While I found the Food excellent, my Husband wasn't impressed. He said his Venison starter was tasteless, His Main of Lamb was quite bland and the side of Chips were under cooked. We were both surprised at the choice of only two starters and two mains. Will give it another try.
Having had the tasting menu twice before, I found this one not so flavoursome but this may just be down to personal taste.Slightly disappointed this time.
