About The Muddlers Club Belfast
Tucked away between Waring Street & Exchange Place in the historic back street of Cathedral Quarter, The Muddlers Club has been named after the secret society that met there over 200 years ago.
Head chef & owner Gareth McCaughey hand picks the best of home grown produce daily to ensure the quality of each dish served. The open kitchen provides a sense of theatre and allows the diner to watch as ingredients are transformed into meticulously simple dishes in front of them.
With a carefully considered wine and an extensive cocktail list you will find a warm welcome at The Muddlers Club.
Great experience and with one veggie in our group of four, this wasn’t an issue. The food and wine was magnificent. Niall ensured that we were well looked after - thank you.
You can tell the ingredients are fresh and prepared with considerable care. The flavours are rich but fantastically balanced and while the plates are beautifully presented the portions leave you satisfied.
Niall was our waiter. He was fantastic, knowledgeable but with personality. Food was gorgeous and although small portions we came away feeling satisfied.
Superb dishes and excellent service. The Tasting Menu is highly recommended!
Fantastic staff and food. Will definitely be back.
Food and service were excellent. The open kitchen does make it very warm inside even on what was a chilly day. A bit of air con would improve the experience.
Great wine selection. The servers were efficient and polite and very knowledgeable. A great experience all round
Fabulous from start to finish. Keep going guys!
Excellent food and service - great experience
Fantastic dining experience, many thanks.
Staff fab. Food Fab! Wine Fab! Had tasting menu and wine. Would highly recommend and hope to be back!
Amazing night for an anniversary dinner and the food was s celebratory as the occasion thank you special mention of the service especially Chris was next to none
I love the food but the experience was dramatically lessened by the sheer noise level which meant having a normal conversation was impossible - 2 of our party said they couldn’t return as they just couldn’t hear the person beside them We couldn’t even hear the staff as they tried to explain the dishes being served Such a pity
Staff very welcoming
Great food and nice waiter
Wow such a nice welcome to this beautiful restaurant....and the food well what can we say other than it totally surpassed our high expectations! Was just like eating at a Michelin starred best friends house...faultless in every way...can not wait to go again.
Muddlers reliable. Always tasty and dont feel Ive over indulged, portion sizes are perfect. Staff are attentive and friendly. Its not a trend But it is a treat.
Great atmosphere, beautiful food & staff really attentive
A real treat. My favourite special restaurant in Belfast.
You were recommended to me and I will recommend you. For me flavour is king and you delivered with every bite. A memorable gastronomic experience
Really good food and all the staff of helpful, pleasant manner
Food and overall experience was superb. Big shout out to Niall too for the outstanding service and for being a general great human. My partner and I will most definitely be returning whenever we’re back in Belfast!
Delicious food. Great night. Best in Belfast.
I really enjoyed the tasting menu, which included the standard wine flight. The courses were all excellent and interesting, with well-matched wines, were well presented and extremely fresh. I particularly liked that the chefs were happy to adapt the menu to suit individual tastes and preferences. The staff were all very attentive and professional, with the sommelier, especially, brimming with enthusiasm. The only downside is that the room is quite small and hard-walled, so very noisy and difficult to hold a conversation.
