About The Muddlers Club Belfast
Tucked away between Waring Street & Exchange Place in the historic back street of Cathedral Quarter, The Muddlers Club has been named after the secret society that met there over 200 years ago.
Head chef & owner Gareth McCaughey hand picks the best of home grown produce daily to ensure the quality of each dish served. The open kitchen provides a sense of theatre and allows the diner to watch as ingredients are transformed into meticulously simple dishes in front of them.
With a carefully considered wine and an extensive cocktail list you will find a warm welcome at The Muddlers Club.
Thank you very much for a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Fabulous concept.
Great dining experience. We had a few fussy eaters and dietary requirements and the service team were very informative and looked after us well on this. Only negative was that we all were not on the same table but we were a large group and this was advised to us in advance. Worth a visit
excellent food and service
Everything was excellent! Thanks to Niall, Barry and all staff!
Fantastic food, service and ambiance, all members of the team have experience and knowledge and could not fault anything. 10/10 Tx
Amazing food, excellent service, looking forward to coming back again soon
Service was excellent, food gorgeous. Had the Chateaubriand. Broccoli was the best side. Will try visit again in 2020.
Muddlers never disappoints. I ate Grouse and carpaccio of venison for the first time. It was delicious As I was the only one in our party who was gluten free the menu was adjusted accordingly. The whole meal was divine.
Another Stunning meal at Muddlers Club!! Best dining experience in Belfast... Love the laid back ambience, superb service from wonderful , friendly staff... Many Thanks Gareth & Barry... See you soon 💋
Hard to find but worth the effort. Staff very friendly whilst totally professional. Food excellent. Highly recommended.
Excellent in all areas. What an experience. Would absolutely recommend
No matter how frequently I go to Muddler’s, and I confess I am a regular, it always exceeds expectations. This time we had guests from Galway who were made to feel like locals but were treated like celebrities. Hard to imagine how, but the food just keeps getting better!
We really enjoyed our evening - the food was exquisite and the service excellent - many thanks !
A well deserved Michelin Star now graces Muddler’s Club (as I predicted early on in my reviews) our tasting menu was excellent with the venison, beef cheek and halibut being real stars. Service was good but the atmosphere was poor - it was lunchtime on Wednesday after all. Tips to improve would be a wider choice of mid to high end wines and always of good vintages. We will be back again soon! Well done all!
Sublime food and service from Team Ox - worthy of 2 Michelin stars! Thank you Shauna Magill @LoveNIFood
Beautiful meal and wine pairing. All the staff members we encountered were extremely polite and pleasant and enhanced the experience.
Fantastic meal, as always. First class
Fantastic waiting staff who are charismatic and attentive! The drinks are interesting and the fact that theres no menu only attests to the head chefs skills. We had a wonderful 6 course tasting menu. My only slight qualm is that compared to Belfasts other Michelin starred restaurants the decor seems a little lacking (particularly the toilets) but understandable given the space. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will undoubtedly return in the new year.
Excellent service and atmosphere added to delicious food well explained by the waiters/waitress.
Excellent food and service.
Fabulous as usual!
Another very enjoyable dining experience at the Muddlers Club. Fantastic 5 course tasting with a superb prestige wine pairing. Thank you
Excellent meal. Friendly attentive waiting staff. Really enjoyed our visit. Only issues would be hard to find due to construction work. Also maybe review the use of serviettes and change to linen. Other than that really enjoyed and will recommend and return for an evening experience
Dined for lunch recently.Had sea trout for starter- very small portion; lots of add ons on plate but not great overall.Main course had lamb- lot time spent at "pass" plating up.My lamb was at best lukewarm & only ok.Again some add ons but portions small.Quite a number of chefs on duty (I counted 7). Couldn't believe that they couldn't produce some sort of potato dish to go with main course-.apart from chips.Michelin star?? Not quite in my opinion.
