About The Muddlers Club Belfast
Tucked away between Waring Street & Exchange Place in the historic back street of Cathedral Quarter, The Muddlers Club has been named after the secret society that met there over 200 years ago.
Head chef & owner Gareth McCaughey hand picks the best of home grown produce daily to ensure the quality of each dish served. The open kitchen provides a sense of theatre and allows the diner to watch as ingredients are transformed into meticulously simple dishes in front of them.
With a carefully considered wine and an extensive cocktail list you will find a warm welcome at The Muddlers Club.
Food was fabulous as was the service, Only thing I would like to see is slightly larger measures of the prestige wine selection. While the selection was great especially the Shiraz we all felt that the glasses were a bit short.
food was excellent but portions small. Amount of wine per serving was small compared to other wine tasting at other restaurants.
Recently went for my husbands birthday and had the seasonal tasting menu. Wonderful food and service. Looking for an excuse to return!
Excellent meal thank you
We have eaten here for lunch quite a few times before but we were disappointed the 6-12-6 menu has been taken off.... it worked out quite a bit more expensive. Food however is excellent.
Really enjoyed our meal. The food and the wines were all excellent. Service top notch. It wasn’t a cheap meal but felt very much that we got what we paid for. We’ll definitely be back.
The food is fantastic. We had the tasting menu with wines, it was wonderful. The service is first class and a special mention to our waiter Niall.
We like Muddlers but I think £30 for the salt aged beef is too pricey. Portion sizes are a bit on the mean side both for the main ingredient and the veg. However the meal was very good and the waiting staff excellent. It is however too noisy and some soft surfaces might improve that.
As always the quality of food and great wines provided a fabulously relaxed long lunch. The waiting staff were wonderfully informative and attentive.
Always a pleasure to dine here
Wonderful service, wonderful food, wonderful place! Loved every minute of our experience with the tasting menu and seasonal wine pairing. We will be back!
Food was sensational. A perfectly balanced menu of classic ingredients with sparks of surprises and cooking that made you think ‘wow’! Looking forward to booking again soon!
The food was fantastic staff very attentive
Service and attention to detail were amazing. An absolutely blissful couple of hours. The halibut 3rd course was one of the best things I've ever eaten and I've been a chef for over 20 years. Everyone should be so proud that we have this standard of restaurant in Belfast. I should also add that the wine pairing was faultless. Giving great balance to great food.
I’ve eaten here tens of times but yesterday it all went wrong. I’m carbohydrate intolerant and obviously there was sugars serviced to me as I was quite poorly. This is the first time this has happened. Had that not have happened I wouldn’t have any complaint at all
Beautiful meal and fabulous service- as always
Superb tasting menu on Friday night - my three other diners had not been to Muddlers before and absolutely loved it too. Great service, describing each dish beautifully. Thanks for a lovely evening!
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing. Drinks were refreshing.
Excellent food and service. A very special dining experience.
great service, delicious food, because of the open environment the restaurant become noisy but a lovely lunch
Just an amazing experience to mark my 58th birthday
I had a wonderful night, would thoroughly recommend the Muddler club, for dinner in very comfortable surroundings with lovely staff, and exceptional food.
Literally the best meal I've ever had. Ever. Top marks. I can't find fault anywhere.
