About The Muddlers Club Belfast
Michelin Starred restaurant tucked away between Waring Street & Exchange Place in a historic back street of the Cathedral Quarter. The Muddlers Club has been named after the secret society that met there over 200 years ago.
Head chef & owner Gareth McCaughey hand picks the best of home grown produce daily to ensure the quality of each dish served. The open kitchen provides a sense of theatre.
With a carefully considered wine and an extensive cocktail list you will find a warm welcome at The Muddlers Club.
Will definitely be back and bring my cousin next time, as like me she loves and appreciate good food and taste/flavours etc.
We had a fabulous meal here last Friday, food was exceptional and the staff are so good at what they do, make it look very easy when I know that working with the public can be very difficult. Our meal in Muddlers is all the more special in light of the situation now and it will be the last meal out for a while. Thank you to the chef and staff, stay safe and come back fighting!
I thought the food was excellent. We arrived at the beginning of the busy period so the noise level built up quite a bit not a unique factor but something to be aware of. Portion sizes were fine for us I would sometimes have the cheese as well as dessert but found no need for this but if you like a lot of food may not be the place for you. Cocktails were great.
Love the black book
The location is like a cool London restaurant looking out onto a red brick street. The staff and atmosphere are warm and the use hand sanitizer like it's going out of fashion. The food looks like art and tastes like heaven. Next time I wan to spend longer there and try the taster menu.
Wonderful evening. Exceptional service and food...
Excellent food service and ambiance. Very welcoming and friendly staff.
Fantastic meal and excellent service.
Amazing meal and wine (from the black book) last night. Couldn't fault anything from start to finish. Thanks for a great experience
Obviously atmosphere was quite subdued because of Corona Virus but we had a lovely meal and enjoyed the dining experience.
I would have liked bigger helpings. They really were quite tiny. The food was very tasty but a tiny piece of mackerel and a similar sized piece of meat was a bit much. Lovely chips and good service.
Excellent food and excellent service.
Lovely food expertly prepared and served thanks for another great meal perhaps a potato with the steak after all there is a lot of “sauce”to savour?
The food was amazing and lived up to our expectations. the staff were great as well, very attentive and gave good intros to each course
At the moment this is the best restaurant in Belfast city centre. From the moment you enter it feels like your going to have a great experience . The flavour of the dishes are all well defined and clean, and the use of salt is as good as Ive tasted in a while. Everybody needs someone to love and if you love someone bring them here or just bring yourself you won’t regret it.
I would’ve loved to see a written menu on the table- it was a little bit loud for me to catch all the details of the dishes and pairings-seeing them written down would help! Overall an excellent experience!
We visited the restaurant for lunch on Saturday. Food was of a high standard but it was the service which was outstanding. Our main waiter Niall was exceptional. He was friendly and charming, yet attentive, professional and knowledgeable. He made our dining experience a very positive one.
As always, delicious food, beautifully presented & friendly staff all add up to a very pleasurable dining experience.
This was our 3rd time at muddlers club and each time is more phenomenal than the last! From the moment you walk in the service and atmosphere are second to none. Our server Niall was excellent. He was polite, pleasant and welcoming- as were all other staff! My husbands nut allergy was very well communicated throughout the team and I was very impressed. I had the wine pairing which matched each course perfectly- not to mention the amazing staff who present the history and tasting notes of each wine! Each course was a work of art and tasted absolutely superb. Always love it at muddlers, favourite restaurant. The whole team deserve every success for the future.
Excellent food and service! Each course was better than the last!
We throughly enjoyed the meal The variation of dishes was superb
Spanish wine tasting dinner - menu was excellent, wines were good, service was outstanding. Looking forward to the next one :)
Really good food and service. We were heading on to a concert afterwards and staff were mindful of our timings but still fully explained each dish and assisted with drinks and getting the bill quickly. Would highly recommend.
Alcohol is a little expensive, it would be nice to have some lower budget options. Overall great value though for the quality of food. I had the vegan tasting menu and it was possibly the best meal I've ever eaten in my life!
Very tasty and professional
