About The Muddlers Club Belfast
Tucked away between Waring Street & Exchange Place in the historic back street of Cathedral Quarter, The Muddlers Club has been named after the secret society that met there over 200 years ago.
Head chef & owner Gareth McCaughey hand picks the best of home grown produce daily to ensure the quality of each dish served. The open kitchen provides a sense of theatre and allows the diner to watch as ingredients are transformed into meticulously simple dishes in front of them.
With a carefully considered wine and an extensive cocktail list you will find a warm welcome at The Muddlers Club.
Excellent food, great venue and atmosphere. Staff were lovely but need to speak slightly louder when describing the wine pairing and the dish from the tasting menu. Highly recommend
Excellent food, superb service and great atmosphere in the restaurant.
Brilliant food, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've been trying to get a reservation here for a very long time and it was with luck I was able to take my husband for his birthday - it was worth the wait! Excellent, will be returning.
Our visit to The Muddlers Club was one of the highlights of our trip to Belfast. The food and wine were fantastic, and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Our server, Bronagh, especially was attentive, friendly, and did everything to ensure that our evening was relaxing and special. Thank you!
The only issue I had is that I was told on the phone that the table was required for half 8 and that was the time I was working to, but we were asked to vacate at 8pm.
We always have a beautiful meal food is delicious , staff so friendly and helpful.
A lovely lunch hid away down a little side street off the cathedral quarter. Great atmosphere, food bordering on fine dining but lovely. A must visit if you are trying to impress.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Muddlers never fails to impress.
Food was as good as always, squid was so good I came back and had the same dish the next day.
The 5 course tasting menu was one of the nicest meals I've ever had . Staff were very friendly and professional a great night
There a number of times and love the Muddlers Club but took my beautiful daughter and wife to celebrate our daughter achieving an excellent degree in Fashion Management. We were waowed with the standard of the food drink and service. Our daughter is now a total fan also.
Had a beautiful meal at Muddlers. My husband and I got the taster menu and we both loved it. I’m a vegetarian and it was so nice to get such tasty, well thought out vegetarian dishes. I am over 7 months pregnant and the staff were lovely. I was offered a cushion for my seat straight away and the barman made me a delicious mocktail. The staff were very attentive but not over the top. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a lovely evening.
The Muddlers Club had been highly recommended by a number of friends and we'd really looked forward to our night - we were not disappointed! My request to move to a window seat was readily met with a smile and got the evening off to a great start. The food was fabulous - and contrary to my norm - I loved the surprise of each course arriving. And this was only improved by the lovely wine pairing - very professionally introduced by the staff who clearly know their grapes! Our next visit is already booked and I can't wait to try the a la carte menu! Thankyou :-)
Went for lunch, beautiful meal.
Love this place! The staff are always so friendly and efficient. The decor is beautiful. The food is amazing, in terms of both presentation and flavour. We’ve been for both the tasting menu in the evening and now lunch and have enjoyed it immensely both times. Can’t wait to go back.
Great experience doing the “blind” tasting menu. Had items I know I wouldn’t have ordered and enjoyed them all throughly - as did the others in my party! Would def go back- great cocktails and wine list too!
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch it looked amazing and tasted fantastic. I was pleased that we were able to get a smaller portion of a main meal for our toddler. The service the staff provided was to a very high standard. I also liked the little sugar twizzle stick for my latte. We would definitely recommend The Muddlers Club to family and friends and can’t wait to return to try more delicious food!!
Another lovely dining experience at The Muddlers Club. Food was all amazing but I particularly loved the lamb carpaccio — a beautiful dish. Looking forward to my next visit already!
Best place in Belfast to eat and soak up relaxed atmosphere. Staff are so knowledgeable about the food. Totally enjoyable as usual.
Wonderful seasonal ingredients cooked to perfection and served with panache. A memorable experience.
The tasting menu paired with the wine was a brilliant experience
A little pricey but fantastic food experience. Price would be ok if comfort and ambience of restaurant was higher grade. It was a fine dining experience but in a bistro setting. Don’t get me wrong, we absolutely loved it but it would have been perfect five star if the price point was correct. I’m my opinion, for this type of venue, the Tasting menu is over priced by about £10 per person and the wine menu is over priced by around £4 per bottle. As I say, don’t get me wrong we loved it, but it’s a bit expensive, especially If one person is paying the entire bill for two or four people.
Excellent food.Service was fantastic. Great experience oversll. Won't be long until we are back again .
Best dining experience I've had in a long time. Muddlers club makes me want to visit Belfast again very soon. Food, ambience and service was fantastic! Thank you.
