About The Moorings at Myton
Canalside gastropub specialising in home-cooked Anglo-French food. Real ales, fine wines & premium brand spirits served in a warm friendly atmosphere.
Considering everything that’s going on at the minute. The speed of service and the quality of the food was even better than before lock down. Superb. Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else
Limited menu and app confusing when buying drinks
Enjoyed the evening, the food and drink were great, difficult circumstances but appreciated the actions taken and it felt safe!
no soap in toilets toilet didn’t flush dried up chicken i am a regular and this was below usually standard
Great to see you back up and running - many thanks for a great lunch
Went for Sunday lunch, chose a good Beef roast dinner. You could choose if you wanted ‘well done’ or more rare. Vegetables were lovely as well as a giant Yorkshire Pudding. Gravy very tasty. Only criticism was the roast potatoes were a bit hard to cut into, they’d obviously been done a while, which was a shame. Staff extremely attentive throughout - thank you! Good social distancing in operation, very clean throughout. Will definitely return again.
The best food we have had in ages x Clean and quick service x A place to be returned to for sure
First meal out since lockdown for my birthday, the staff were brilliant. Menu was limited but that’s just how it is at the moment. The food we had was great and highly recommend the biscoff, caramac and salted caramel cheesecake.
We were not offered condiments and there was nobody visible to ask as we felt the starter was under seasoned. Twice we had to ask for cutlery. Main was very tasty and fulfilling. The decorating brightens up an already superb venue. We held several conversations with staff and management and we were made to feel very welcome
Like the new styling which is modern and functional. We look forward to seeing some soft furnishings in the future but on the whole our group enjoyed the atmosphere.
We visited on the first day open after COVID-19 as a birthday treat. The venue was nicely refurbished. Great food as usual. We both had the Rump Steaks they were cooked perfectly and how we asked. The app worked well and we had good service.
Difficult for you under COVID and your first day reopening. Our server was excellent.
After booking a table via ResDiary for 4th July at 7pm. My husband and I were disappointed to find the restaurant closed Res Diary took the booking regardless. This needs updating in line with Covid19 and date if reopening is a must. Had to put 1 star as I couldn't submit my comments otherwise. This is no reflection on The Moorings as it's one of our favourite restaurants. This is a problem with Res Diary!!!!
Excellent food and attentive service.
Lovely food and the service was OK, but a couple of things could have made our time so much more enjoyable. The waitress brought us a bowl of crusty bread, but no butter. I could see that other tables were being served butter with their bread, so I asked a passing waitress if we could have some. She apologised for us not having any and said she'd go and get some. Unfortunately it seemed that there was no butter to be had in the entire restaurant as the waitress said someone had gone out to buy some more. In the end no butter came with our bread at all and we were there from 1:15 to gone 3pm. Also, the radiator we were sat next to (table 5) was not able to be turned off, so we had to take it in turns to sit next to it and swap when we couldn't bear the heat any more. We did ask if it could be turned down, but the waitress said it wasn't controllable. If that's the case, though I find it hard to believe radiators aren't temperature controllable, tables shouldn't be put so close to them.
Always good and best Ribeye in Warwick
Staff not attending
Generally good experience. 3 people had steak medium rare but all 3 were served different (medium, medium rare and rare). As we wanted to eat together we didn’t complain but is you have steaks i don’t think this is their strong point. Sea bass and sausages were very good.
Dinner for 8, service perfunctory, pink duck was fairly raw, bubble & squeak cold.. steaks were good but none of the party would return. Disappointing overall
I have received nothing but excellent feedback from all my party who thoroughly enjoyed the whole afternoon stating the food, service and atmosphere was superb. I would like to add mine and Linda’s thanks and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of all staff for making the afternoon a most enjoyable and memorable occasion.
Excellent food unfortunately slow service but will be returning!
Great food and nice atmosphere with fab service
Slightly overpriced for what we actually received.
Lovely meal and service.
