About The Monro
A short walk from the vibrancy of Liverpool One, The Monro is your perfect sanctuary. Think home-cooked food, log fire, courtyard-garden and more. A bit like home, but better.
The soup was very bland, tasted like water with food colouring (sorry). I had the pork Sunday roast and my girlfriend ordered the beef. Although the pork skin was flavourful and crispy, the meat tasted average and tiny portions. I wouldn't go back nor recommend the place for food but for drinks, definitely! Staff were kind and friendly :)
Beautiful place, an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Really good food.
table layout in back room needs altering,
Service not as good as previous. visits. Had to repeat requests several times, drinks, wine, even the bill!!
A lovely place to eat with fantastic food and lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Absolutely amazing from start to finish. It was my birthday so I was brought a free glass of prosecco as soon as I sat down. The gentleman that waited on us knew the menu like the back of his hand and made genuine conversation with us throughout the evening. Nothing more could’ve been done to make our evening special, the food was amazing, the service outstanding and we would 100% recommend the monro to anyone and everyone!
Amazing service, staff are very friendly and food was amazing!
Portion size generous. Food was tasty. Funishings were a bit tired. Service excellent.
The Monro delivered on quality, style, taste, atmosphere and service. We had a fantastic evening again.
frequently visit Monro. Staff pleasant but food and value poor. Gammon very very salty! Wild mushrooms not wild! No vegetables.I regard £8 for a glass of wine as extortion. I'm not sure I and my family will be visiting again. Sorry. In the past have enjoyed good times here but something needs to change if I am to return.
Delicious food & great service. Would recommend.
food was awful potatoes were like reheats hardly a bit of gravy
Nice place, my steak and chips was a bit disappointing, we went on Saturday at 7pm so maybe we were a bit early, was a bit empty
Staff always cheerful and ready to assist if needed.
nice food with freindly service recomend the fish &chips
Fantastic food and decent prices 😋 it was a little quiet at the time staff were really friendly - definitely highly recommend Monro' s - the lunch time menu was great - fish and real chips were scrummy; just had to try the peanut butter creme brulee even though I was bursting at the seams and it was yummy😆 will definitely be back to try out the rest of the lunch time menu
Everyone was very attentive and friendly. the food was exceptional
Had beef Sunday roast, which was very nice. Great value and ate everything on the plate. Only comment would be the potatoes could be crisper, maybe need to blanch before roasting. Staff were great and disnt have to wait too long for food.
Excellent food and great service means we will be back next time we are in Liverpool.
Another great meal at The Munro. Fresh ingredients and ‘home’ cooked roast. It never disappoints. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Only one black mark this time - the beef was a bit tough. Our friends said the lamb was excellent though.
Faultless are first time and definitely won’t be our last
Absolutely brilliant. Will be back.
Our third visit in less than 6 months, The Monro never disappoints. Than you once again.
Went for a meal after my daughters graduation. It was a perfect end to a perfect day.
Really enjoyed the meal and the free bottle of prosecco for the graduation menu was a lovely touch
