About The Monro
A short walk from the vibrancy of Liverpool One, The Monro is your perfect sanctuary. Think home-cooked food, log fire, courtyard-garden and more. A bit like home, but better.
Just a nice chilled pub and the food is gorgeous staff are very polite love be this place 👍👍👍
Great service, place and food 👍
Best porn star martini ever! A little gem of a place, will deffo be back x
Very enjoyable afternoon. The young man who served us was very attentive and obliging. He said he had only been in the job a couple of weeks and he gave us excellent service The only negative was the wrap on my street food wrap was rather hard and difficult to eat.. every thing else delicious.
Excellent service despite being busy staff were attentive & very accommodating especially to my 1.5 year old. Will defiantly be bringing more friends and family back.
Great service and food
Booth near kitchen door was disruptive. Staff friendly and attentive. No cucumber for the Hendricks.
The bar man was very helpful and friendly I thought my vegetarian meal was disappointing. We also wanted the Baked Alaska for desert but it had ran out so overall not good value for money
Booked for a celebration meal, only to be told on arrival it was a set menu ? Nothing online or website to be aware of this when we booked , very very disappointed
Been a few times before when visiting Liverpool , was a bit disappointed the food was nice but the staff didn’t seem very interested . Booking online was easy, but when going in the restaurant the waitress looked confused told to go to the bar then 1 sec later said they find a table , wasn’t told many items not available once sat down!
We were seated by the backdoor which was very cold whenever someone opened it to go outside for a cigarette well away from empty tables near the lovely warm fire. They’ve changed the roast chicken to an artificially sliced chicken with stuffing which isn’t nice. Such a shame. Far too much cabbage. Overcooked carrot and parsnip mix. However the service was much better than had in the past and though very limited puddings, the sticky toffee pudding was lovely ( but needs to be with custard not ice cream)
Lovely meals in front of a real fire, excellent service. Couldn’t do enough for us, will be returning after this first experience dining here
Sam and his team were fabulous. Very proffesional........
Came for Sunday roast and unfortunately wasn’t the same as a few years ago... I understand things change but if the waiter had come over to ask about the meal it could’ve been rectified... food wasn’t overally hot and just a bit below standard of what we’ve had before! We don’t eat out often so we saw it very much as a treat but felt disappointed in paying £60 for the meal... overall we won’t be coming again.
Fabulous Sunday lunch in lovely surroundings, served by charming, friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return soon.
Great customer service, roast dinner was good - cauliflower cheese was great, Yorkshire pud was epic. Only downside was that the roasties could’ve been a bit crispier but no major issue.
Came for Sunday lunch and the food was great! Nice wine too. Service was a little slow/laid back but it didn’t takeaway from the experience.
Food was lovely with friendly staff
Beautiful food and very prompt service
Really enjoyed the meal.Food was delicious and well cooked(a special Burns Night menu).
Been to the pub a few times now and service last night was longer than usual.
We booked for lunch on the Burns night special menu we weren’t disappointed, the Cullen skink was absolutely delicious and very filling, we love the Monro but I do have to say bar prices are a little pricey.
Everything was absolutely lovely and my mother was delighted. The only suggestion would be that we booked for the special deal Burns' Night menu, but when we arrived, were given normal menus and had to ask about the Burns' Night one. Everything else was spot on!
Sunday roast absolutely wonderful. Will be calling again. Thank you
