The online booking system was efficient. Food and service on the night were of an excellent standard. Thank you.
Delicious food and great friendly service
The Mole is one of our favourite restaurants but we were a little disappointed this time. Unfortunately a number of the dishes had become unavailable and the duck salad was very small for the price. The other dishes were very nice but once again, we felt they were over-priced. The service was also not as friendly as it could've been. Hopefully next time it will return to what it's been like in the past.
The food was beautiful and wow the flavours and presentation were divine. Just a couple of little things- food service at table was excellent but we had to go to the bar twice for a drink. Also most of the restaurant had left by 10pm and the CD player seemed like it had repeated over and over again so attention to detail and change of music would have been great!
Lovely evening, portion sizes good but could be a bit bigger eg veg, but food fabulous, menu excellent, great chef, service friendly and efficient. Would recommend.
A beautiful place, but unexceptional pub food at a hefty price.
Another wonderful meal at The Mole! One of my favourite places !!
Always get a good meal when we come here and everyone is very welcoming, helpful and friendly.
We came for Mike’s birthday we hadn’t been for about a year it was a lovely change food was excellent unfortunately we couldn’t manage dessert this time but will definitely return. 😊
Delightful restaurant with efficient and very friendly staff.
Breath taking food, exceptional service in a beautiful venue. What more could you ask for.
Friendly staff and wonderful food. Will be returning
My wife and I had a lovely Sunday lunch with our son to celebrate his 21st birthday. We arrived a little early, and were warmly met. We sat in the bar area with a drink, perusing the menu. We were then shown to our table and received very friendly and efficient service. Everyone throughly enjoyed their meals; starters were excellent and my son and wife respectively choose the pork and lamb roasts - my hake was really well cooked. Great accompanying vegetable side. Two thumbs-up for the sweets and the coffee was good too. All round, a very, very nice lunch and I would full heartedly recommend to friends and family. Good value for such a quality experience.
To be honest, it is terrible. We had a lovely pub, with great food and wonderful warm service. Now there is hardly any choice, apart from the basic fare and it is very average quality. I chose fish and chips and the fish was fried cardboard... It used to be our canteen...I have told everyone in the office that they can forget it. Sorry for being negative. It is proportionate to my disappointment. In 10 years of using the Mole, it has never, ever been bad. Hence we always came back. Not sure we will now.
A proper pub with proper food - grown up service and a warm welcome
We don’t live in this area, we’re meeting friends and the Mole was recommended to us. Very pleased with the recommendation I’m sure we will revisit.
We greatly enjoyed the food, especially the Salcombe Crab starter! The atmosphere was very good as was the beer and wine (SB French better than NZ). Service was friendly, efficient and not intrusive.
Fantastic, food was great and service at a very high standard. We will definitely come back.
We held our Golden Wedding celebration at The Mole and the whole experience was fantastic. The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The food was superb and all our party left very happy
Lovely food & atmosphere, the only downside was that we waited way too long for the food to be served.
My wife's dish did not include some of the ingredients on the menu, she enjoyed it but no mention was made of why. Service charge included is incredibly annoying and would be one thing stop me coming back, please let the customer decide whether to tip and not assume .
The Mole Inn is a fantastic local pub, amazing food - higher end perfect for a special date night or for that touch of extra special.
A very pleasant lunch.
The food and drink were both good - WHEN they arrived! Service was very slow - although reason was explained to us (staff absence due to bereavement) it was nevertheless below the standard we expected. Adding 12.5% service to bill was thoughtless in the circumstances - even though it was explained that this was discretionary it was a bit of insult! We adjusted it to @10% - would have been less if it wasn’t for nice waitress who tried her best to mitigate things. The booking process was also a nightmare. Sent the wrong menu, when correct one was sent had to put in all the names (10 of us) again. When people made their choices, their acknowledgement was sent to the wrong person! So not our best dining experience and we probably not be visiting again - certainly not as a group of 10.
