SISTER RESTAURANT TO THE MIDLAND TAPAS & WINE BAR BEAUMARIS - GOOD FOOD AWARD 2019, BEST MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT IN WALES 2018
We had a fantastic dinner, however at the time were restricted to dinner pre-6pm without alcohol... would've been lovely to have had a shiraz to bring out the incredible flavours of the food. Will definitley be back once lockdown is over.
The food was delicious and there was a variety of choice!
Had a lovely time but staff were rushed off their feet, food seemed a bit over cooked but overall did enjoy ! Would have got pudding if anyone would have served us lol
First time going here, Food was fantastic and good value for money, Service was also excellent!
Great service and nice vibe.
Our family favourite in the area !
One of my favourite restaurants in the area. Excellent.
The service was amazing, there was one gentleman working by himself on the bar and on service, as it got busier the service did not slow down. He was brilliant.
The food was okay nothing special there were a few disappointing dishes I have to be honest. I've eaten in both restaurants a few times now and I love this type of un traditional Tapas. I didn't feel some of the dish standards reflected the prices. For example the calamari wasn't its usual standard very small and overfried and certain things were quite greasy. I think consistency is a lacking factor in North Wales in general I've always said this. I put some of it down to lack of finding reliable and quality chefs in North Wales forcing employers to look further a field. When you pay nearly £200 for a table of 4 on Tapas you expect to have a better than OK meal. For me it's not as good as it was which I've also heard of the 1st restaurant too.
Obviously when covid is over the atmosphere will change
Great evening cheers
Lovely food and service. Felt safe with social distancing adhered to. Would recommend.
Brilliant night. Lots of choices on the menu and fantastic staff!
Poor food and dismal service
Good morning David, Would you please contact me on [email protected] to discuss this 1* review. We prefer it if on your visit you feedback any problems so that we can fix it there and then. A 1* with no clarification is neither useful or informative. Kind regards
Loved food & staff nice. Would of given slightly higher however loo’s weren’t that clean. We arrived at 5 & they had just opened & no one could of checked ladies loo - toilets were very dusty & dirty. Other than that food very good. Best pardon sports we’ve ever had!
Nice Tapas bar. Good selection of Tapas which were all very tasty. They do put their own twist on the menu so better not to expect exactly as you had in Spain etc; One example was we had Canaries Potatoes with Mojo sauce. The Mojo didnt taste like any Mojo suace I have had in the Canaries and the potatoes seemed to have been boiled then either fried or roasted (which is not what Canaries potatoes are) . However, despite this they tasted very nice. The place was buzzin despite the Covid restrictions. One negative was that my wife reported the Ladies toilets to be very dirty.
Great food and drinks
The restaurant felt very safe with Covid measures in place. Beautiful food and great service, as always!
Variety of food on menu. Friendly efficient staff. Good atmosphere. Tables well separated in accordance with COVID recommendations.
Amazing food. We'll be back
Food was good but portions to small. Would like to see a full plate Mixed meat of Paella As an option not a tapas portion. Need a bigger selection of beers too.
Delicious food served professionally. Good Covid arrangements. Relaxing atmosphere. Drinks a bit pricey. Next time we might ask for the tapas to be served over a longer timescale as it all seemed over very quickly - but that would be great if you were short of time! Overall an enjoyable visit.
