About The Marram Grass
We're a small restaurant interested in using great produce and creating interesting flavour combination. We prioritise our local surrounding and source our fish and meat from local farms (as well as our own) but we like to use great produce from all over when we can justify it.
We're a relatively informal restaurant and we like to encourage the social aspect of eating out.
Take a look at our website for sample menus and to keep up to date with how our kitchen garden is progressing and any events or special menus we have on.
A fabulous little quaint yet comfortable restaurant. Heard so much and it was beyond expectation. Staff courteous, friendly and attentive, atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. The food was sumptuous and maticulously presented. After eating some poor fine dining in the past, this place is by far the best. We attended for our wedding anniversary and were fussed over, it really made an occasion. And we met Ellis the head chef before we left...a good scouser!! Will definately be back...highly recommend x
It was excellent - as usual!
Thank you for a lovely evening to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, the food was absolutely amazing & we really appreciate all the hard work that went into it, we had a very memorable night. The only criticism we had was our table was the second table in by the toilet & people keep leaving both the toilet door & outer door open so the busy staff had to keep closing it when they saw it , maybe a door closure could be fitted. Also my wife was sitting on the bench seat & her direct view was the over flowing bin under the sink maybe a bin with a fitted lid & emptied frequently. Thanks again for a fantastic meal
Delicious and unique flavor combinations. A bit tricky to find, but well worth the hunt.
We had a lovely evening, and this has to be a very serious contender for the best restaurant in North Wales. Well done all round.
This was our second visit to Marram Grass we were not disappointed the food was excellent and the service was very good. On the negative side We did thinkt the drinks were on the expensive side. That said we would return but would be cautious with what we order.
Stunning 3 course meal! Perfect setting and excellent service.
We had a great time celebrating our first anniversary and despite having a baby with us who wouldn’t keep still the staff were great. Food was excellent especially that batenburg! We will definitely be back to try the tasting menu as soon as we can !! Great time
Enjoyed our meals, but found the the prices a little on the high side. However, this would not prevent us returning!
Good service. Food good but limited on vegetarian options!
Lovely food and lovely service from our waiter. Was end of lunch so we were alone at the end. Very friendly and relaxed and my vegetarian food was even better than last time. Chilled soup delicious and the rhubarb was fab. Loved the veggies with nuts and seeds
You were very accommodating with our dog too. It was lovely to sit in the shade under the vine covered pergola, we could have been in the mediterranean!
A wonderful lunch. Lovely that our two 16 month old grandchildren are easily accommodated in the informal atmosphere whilst the adults enjoy outstanding food.
Ein profiad cynta o'r Marram Grass - bwyd blasus wedi ei weini'n berffaith - noson bleserus. Fe ddown yma eto! Diolch Our first experience of the Marram Grass - tasty food perfectly presented and served - lovely evening. We'll be back! Thank you
An absolutely fantastic experience, the food and the service were both brilliant, will definitely be returning.
The atmosphere and service are excellent as were the mussels for a starter but i feel the main course food has gone too far to the fancy side. Not saying I was looking for meat and 2 veg but it was all presentation of multiple little parts that somehow failed to meet my expectations of the Marram Grass. (We have eaten here before)
Great experience all round We will come again
Amazing food, great rustic decoration, friendly staff. We are returning again in August when we have some family visiting
Food was inventive and , for the most part , delicious. Service at the table was good but there were times when we seemed to wait quite a while , Kitchen / front of house lack of coordination ?
Excellent meal. Champagne by the glass should be offered by the bottle as well - and always chilled - which at 12:30 lunchtime, ours were not. Can recommend the 'Surf N Turf' as well as the TART dessert. We were disappointed at the lack of choice in the small shop next door. No ice creams or meat selection? Shame. Finally, I had requested the outside corner/round table to sit at as we had our dog with us and wanted to be out of the way. This did not happen. If you do not reserve tables in this way then please make it clearer and respond on the booking reference e-mail.
Great meal and fantastic service. Despite having an 11 month old baby with us, the staff were friendly, patient and accommodating. Food was excellent and worth paying more for. Drinks perhaps a bit toppy in price hence 4* for value.
Delighted to find MG only a mile away from our selected campsite on Anglesey last week. All aspects of the meal were excellent plus special attention was given to a younger member of our party with very specific tastes. Well done to the MG team, I look forward to our next visit.
Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing food, drink, service and atmosphere. What an absolute gem!! Good size portions, great choice and made to feel really special when we came for my husbands birthday. Best dining experience we have had in years!
DON'T EVER. STOP
