About Foxhills - The Manor Restaurant
The Manor Restaurant & Lounge is the perfect setting for any occasion. Set inside our magnificent 19th century Manor House, The Manor Restaurant is an impressive location for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and The Manor Lounge the perfect setting for Afternoon Tea.
Featuring a varied a la carte menu and a tasting menu (with optional wine pairings), the Manor Restaurant provides the perfect option whether recovering from a long day at the office, or treating your loved ones to something truly indulgent. With a wonderful wine cellar from which to choose, there will always be the perfect tipple to accompany your meal.
The Manor Restaurant is the ideal setting for special occasions, relaxed resident dining or unashamed frivolity.
The Manor Lounge is the perfect location to spoil your loved ones with a decadent afternoon tea prepared by our pastry kitchen, or to begin your evening with an aperitif...and it would be rude not to finish off with a night cap in front of the fire place.
Afternoon Tea is served daily 14.30 - 17.00
Excellent Food (Fabulous roast beef!), All staff good, but some better than others. If you remove items from a dish to create a gluten free meal - don't serve a half empty plate, add something extra like veg etc make it still a full meal. (you did after asking) Impressed, very good overall, will be back.
We were very disappointed with our afternoon tea experience. We have NEVER had afternoon tea anywhere, where we were not given a choice of loose leaf teas. An English Breakfast teabag in the pot is not something one expects at afternoon tea. Also the sandwiches were not freshly made as the bread was getting dry and the fillings were unimaginative. The scones and cakes were alright, but it is not somewhere we could recommend to friends.
Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. The team informed me that it took 1hr 15 minutes to receive their starter and they had to rush through their dinner. They had to move their taxis twice. The restaurant was not busy either as it was empty.
One of the best "Afternoon Tea" experiences we've had. The staff were on point and very courteous and warm.
The afternoon tea we had booked was lovely there was a great atmosphere for that occasion.
The ambience in the restaurant is reserved for the most reserved client with service being very discreet and the staff are very helpful answering any queries. The sommelier was very knowledgable on his wine experiences - well done. I most certainly recommend choosing very carefully a bottle of wine especially from the fine wine list rather than house choices as this will further enhance your evening experience. Congratulations go to the chef for presentation of the culinary experience, the meal was excellent. Pre-drinks in the club lounge bar should also not be missed with a wide range of cocktails and craft beers to include some very selective spirits to help start your evening and afterwards. To anyone planning to visit you will not be disappointed, however, booking in advance is advisable. They deserve Michelin star or better two.
We had a wonderful dinner last night. The tasting menu with the wine flight was a lovely treat and we can't wait to return!
Staff were friendly. Food was excellently presented. High quality and fresh. Good value for money. Would definitely come again and recommend. My husband and I had a lovely table was perfect for couples or bigger groups wanting an above par dining experience
I took my mother for her birthday and everything was just absolutely perfect. Food was excellent and service was very good, would definitely recommend and go again
We had to request more gravy (which came eventually) and a similar situation with the milk for our tea.
Nice and friendly staff, great caring service, lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend and will visit again.
Exceptional food, brilliant atmosphere, superb service. Highly recommended.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary with the Tasting Menu dinner. The staff were lovely and helpful. Our waiter Raz suggested a mocktail when he noticed I wasn't drinking (alcohol) and it was just perfect. The food was delightful and beautifully presented. Our petit fours came on a plate decorated in chocolate writing recognising our anniversary which was very special. Thank you!
We dined over the weekend and it was beautiful. We had champagne afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. The service was impeccable couldn’t fault it in the slightest. Nothing was ever too much for the staff. Over dinner we were told some wonderful anecdotes by our waiter while waiting for our food too arrive. The food was incredible and the tea for two was delightful and very filling! Breakfast was lovely and you definitely will not be hungry afterwards. There is so much choice. Dinner was again lovely. It is expensive and they do put on quite a hefty service charge so be prepared.
We had a really lovely stay and would love to do so again.
Thank you for making us very welcome very pleasant staff they looked after us during our stay in the bar and the restaurant, despite the fire alarms going off we enjoyed our afternoon teas.
Amazing food & absolutely fantastic service. We had a lovely evening and will be back !
Wonderful luncheon with some great wine recommendations.
Visited with friends for lunch. Staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way steer us through the menu choices. The Manor House (including the kitchen)suffered a short loss of water whilst we were there but the staff went out of their way to ensure that minimal disruption was caused to diners. Very professional. Thank you. We shall be back.
We stayed for Saturday 2nd December night and I would return here for the staff alone. The Manor Restaraunt staff particularly were faultless. Polite, gentle, warm and sincere. My wife and I had a throughly wonderful experience. Michael and (not sure of her name but she was in charge!) were so hospitable, attentive (not overly) and utterly charming. Will return very soon for another night. Thank you. Alex & Kaylee
Very good food and service. Atmosphere had a lower score as not many people dining on a Monday night.
great family meal
Food was very good, staff assisted with choices and paced the meal as we wanted. Good service. Would recommend.
Nice relaxed atmosphere, just right for a family special occasion. The food was delicious - portions generous - and well presented. The service was very good. We've had a number of family events at Foxhills, and it's always pleasant experience to spend time in such a picturesque location.
