About The Lygon Arms Hotel - Lygon Wine Bar
The Lygon Wine Bar is a relaxed wine bar with a focus on Italian and European Wines by the glass, carafe and bottle. If you're popping in for a glass and are feeling a little peckish, enjoy a selection of Italian bites and casual dishes. In the heart of the village of Broadway, we've captured the Cotswolds charm in our unique venue that is both stylish and contemporary.
If you fancy bringing a memory of Lygon Arms home with you after your stay, all of our wines will be available to purchase in the Boutique.
Great little place. We stayed at the hotel and fancied casual dining. Wine was excellent and food ideal. Staff very friendly. Tad expensive for a wine bar menu but guess it is the Cotswolds.
The hotel and Spa were a bit tiered and unclean. Breakfast was very disappointing and we had to wait 25 minutes for it to arrive. Service overall was good and the hotel is beautiful.
Lovely costyplace and staff were lovely. That's as far as it goes. We arrived early and said we wanted a drink first. They pushed us for a food order. Starters arrived quickly which were good however main course arrived before stater planted removed. Crab linguini was tasteless and watery at £14 a head. We arrived at 7.20 for an evening out and were finished before 8pm!
Lovely meal and great service thank you !
The service here was very good. I enjoyed my burrata starter but the rest of the food was very average. Tables v close together so you feel that you can't really talk freely.
What a lovely place, so authentic and yet so contemporary as well. Menu limited but food good. It is a pity that it is not supported as much as it should be.
Service disappointing. We were put at a table next to the door on a very cold evening. I asked for us to be moved as there were only 2/3 other tables in use. We were then put in a much warmer spot. Service was poor especially as it was a quiet evening , not attentive at all. Very disappointing . As for the car parking and leaving your number at reception that was not good. The signs aren’t even visible if you arrive in the dark. Luckily I was aware of the parking ‘rules’ as my son was unfortunate to receive a parking ticket when we last visited. It is enough to put you off going again but I wanted my sister to experience your beautiful hotel. 😟
We love the wine bar. Great good and reasonably priced. Staff always lovely. So nice to have this facility in our village
Food 5/5 and wait staff were excellent. Disappointed to find there was no English sparkling wine available.
Lovely lunch , couldn’t fault it.
Good Morning, My boyfriend and I were staying in the Lygon Arms and were enjoying a romantic meal out. The decor was lovely and we were sat by the roaring fire. We were waiting a long time for our food and people around us were getting their main courses when they had arrived after us when it turned out they had forgot to put in our order. The Gnochi we had came with a sauce that was really cold which Im sure should of been warm. Then for the main course we had lasagne which appeared to have had no betchamel in it and was very dry. The staff really tried but we left feeling that the food would of been better of we had picked up something from a super market.
Fast friendly service with good food in a relaxing environment. Some excellent wine too!
Food was good. Our table was in a very very bad position, right by the door. Every time the door opened we got a cold gust of wind and the door opened often. Customers would then talk across our table to staff asking if a table was available. Asked to move but was told we couldn't. Positioning of the table ruined the experience as our meal was constantly interrupted. Wouldn't go again.
Fine and convenient.
We enjoyed our lunch in the Wine Bar and will look forward to visiting the hotel again.
Lovely food and great service. Fairly quiet when we visited. Would prefer to add our own tip rather than having 12.5% automatically added to the bill.
A little overpriced especially the wine. Service charge excessive.
Extremely slow food service. Food was lacking flavour, it was OK but overpriced for what it was. No atmosphere really. Staff whilst very pleasant were over stretched and seemed to lack initiative with no acknowledgement of just how long we had been waiting for food until they actually brought it to us. Really nice touch with a dessert plate as we were celebrating an occasion.
Food good however both dishes we wanted to order were not available due to lack of ingredients Furthermore, we were not impressed with one of the waitress, as once we had finished our starters and mains were served, our starter plates and cutlery were not cleared and we were not served with fresh cutlery for mains. The waitress could clearly see we needed new cutlery however proceeded to serve he table next to us and provide them with cutlery. Only once we asked did she remove plates and provide us with knives and forks.
Excellent atmosphere. Excellent food. Excellent selection of wines. Very pleased we chose to try here over other establishments in Broadway.
Excellent staff and food.
When you serve Italian starter dishes then you should have Bread and olive oil on the table. Our waitress was verry surprised when we asked for bread with our antipasti. Waited hours for the maincourse wich was quite good. Bad organisation lots of pretentions
Excellent food, wine and service.
We were originally booked in to the main restaurant but didn’t like the atmosphere. We managed to get a table outside and had a lovely meal. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was delicious.
