About The Loft Restaurant
The Loft Restaurant is located just a short drive outside of Pontypridd, South Wales.
Serving a variety of menus throughout the day, all of our dishes have been been carefully crafted by our team of creative chefs for maximum flavour and enjoyment. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and an all-day bar menu with plenty of choices, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
The Loft Restaurant is perfect for any special occasions or a quality mid-week treat. Start with a glass of wine from our hand-picked selection, or a cocktail from one of our mixologists and browse our menus full of imaginative dishes, prepared fresh every day.
Have only marked the atmosphere down as we are in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, so limited people in the restaurant - great news for us, not so great for them. We felt very safe in there, and they had a good knowledge of dealing with a gluten free diet.
We enjoyed our visit. Our constructive criticism is the food altho really good was at best tepid, which did detract from our enjoyment, something I think that could be easily rectified. Plus a few customers were not fully adhering to mask wearing or social distancing as we found when we sat in your lounge area following our meal. It was a particular group of 4 who were guilty of this on repeated occasions but not reproached as one of the group went back and fore the bar collecting drinks minus mask. We were advised of the procedures so I think a small few 'forgot' but were not reminded. I know it's a difficult situation to monitor but maybe a few reminder notices in specific areas may jog memories and not appear personally heavy handed.
Had a lovely evening with excellent food!
Took my Dad for Saturday lunch both had fish and chips, my Dad requested a fried egg instead of mushy peas which they were more than happy to accommodate. Fish was the best fish we have had for a long time and the chips melted in your mouth. Will definitely be going back. The lad who served us was well mannered and nothing was too much trouble.
Had a fabulous night away for our anniversary
Would have been nice if there had been outdoor seating especially now that we’re on lockdown.
Price a little expensive but food excellent, great service food portion very good.
Food and service was fab
Our recent visit was not as good as previous visits. We had to ask 3 times for our desert, we were then overcharged when I checked the bill and then had to wait for someone more senior to arrive to check as the waiter did not seem to see or understand the overcharge. The tables were not the current 2 metres apart as they should be. There were 3 tables situated close together. Maybe this should be addressed urgently. As usual the staff were friendly and the food lovely.
Beautiful meal in a beautiful setting. Will definitely return. Thank you
First time for us to eat here in the loft ‘pleasantly surprised’ Lovely presented food ‘can’t wait to come again 👍😊
Staff were great and food delicious. Definitely be back.
Friendly staff very welcoming. Food was delicious cooked exactly how asked and brought out all together as asked instead of starter and mains. We will be back thanks for a lovely evening.
The food was exceptional however I was disappointed to find the toilets inadequacy cleaned/stocked. There were a number of cubicles without toilet rolls and during this time of covid 19 this made me wonder when they were last cleaned!
It would have been nice if our table was ready on arrival. We felt really bad that a disabled man had to be moved because our table wasn’t reserved and laid out. The food was delicious. Each one of us really enjoyed it. It was a shame we had to go back and forth to the bar to get more drinks and ask for someone to take our dessert order as there were no staff around. When ordered, our desserts took 35 minutes to arrive. No one asked if everything was ok until we paid at the bar. I will definitely go back as the food was lovely, but I hope the service will be quicker next time.
Slow service and cold roast potatoes with over half and hour wait just to get order taken for dessert.
Nice food but very disappointed with the service. No spoons with the dessert , however, after 15 minutes of waiting we managed to borrow some from an adjacent table. Bill needed to be adjusted as we had been substantially overcharged. Staff were apologetic and issued a refund upon request.
Pudding took an hour.
We came to take advantage of the eat out help out , both myself and my family were very happy with the meal, the food was very presentable and enjoyable. The staff at your establishment are very polite and helpful they are valued assets to your business.
Tasty food at a fair price. Good as a hotel guest of for a decent meal in the Rhondda
staff were lovely, we were shown to our seats straight away. food was very tasty and value for money. only negative was we gave our dessert order and after waiting a good while i had to ask how long would it be, but that would not put me off returning all the staff are friendly and polite
This is the 3rd time that we have visited the restaurant, and it will be the last. For the second time running, the steak was incorrectly cooked - ordered rare, was served medium/well done. Also we had the hanging chicken kebab which was served black, I’ve since seen a photo of what it was meant to look like and can’t believe the kitchen would even send a meal out looking like that. It was so charred and really dry. One of the starters was served with a caterpillar in the salad, which means the lettuce hadn’t been washed properly. Overall a disappointing meal for my partner’s 30th, and after a few ‘second chances’ we will not be returning.
The food and service is outstanding, will definitely be returning again and again.
Food and drink Food was adequate, ordered a chicken tikka massalla and a hanging chicken kebab Chicken tikka was fine and tasty Hanging kebab was disappointing with only five pieces of meat compared to about 10 in the tikka and also could of had a bit more variety of veg with kebab Also had to wait for about between 45mins to an hour for food to be served Atmosphere was spoiled by location of table being right next to front of house restaurant stand and telephone and the lady answering the phone was very loud and overbearing Service was not very good at all following a wait of up to an hour for our main course and also had to request a dessert menu 30minutes after finishing main course even though there were sometimes at least 3 waitress drying glasses not far from us and also table had not been cleared in this time or we weren't asked if we required another drink even though our glasses were empty I will not return as even with eat out help out discount food wouldn't be worth what was paid and also even though there were plenty of empty tables we were seated easily within 2 metres of people on next table
Lovely evening in the restaurant. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Only negative was hot chocoate brownie was cold. Tased good anyway Will definitely return
