About The Loft Restaurant
The Loft Restaurant.....reflects tradition and heritage.
The intimate atmosphere, enhanced by the beamed features, provide an ideal setting for that 'Special Occasion' or quiet romantic meal. Many of the timbers originated from an old wharf warehouse on the waterfront of Cardiff docks.
Something particular ... Special dietary requirements, children's menu or a Vegetarian option we will have something for you.
What we Cater for? Birthday & Engagement Parties, Weddings up to 40-50 people, All anniversaries or just a family gathering.
Great friendly service from young local waiter. Good quality food which was nicely presented. Two course lunch menu excellent value for money. Relaxed atmosphere for a family occasion.
I had apple pie and custard for Dessert and the amount of custard is discusting I only had 1/2imch in the bottom of a jug it was not even 1/8 th of the jug. I will not be having dessert there agai. We are regulars every Sunday and and I've sent the custard back before now without touching it and it was brought back with a spot more custard. My husband had chocolate cake supposedly with double cream that was a drizzle of cream. Omg pathetic
Food is brilliant. The drinks are too pricey for the area. Don't sell coke, only in a bottle which is very expensive. Cost over £5 for a pint of coke. We will definitely be back for the food but will have water next time
Amazing service fab food lasagna a little dry but I as rectified Will deffo be going again
The meal was lovely steak cooked to perfection. Good size portions and the meals were good value for money. The atmosphere wasn’t the best because there was a large funeral in the bar. The drinks were quite pricey £4.00 for two limes and sodas.
Really enjoyed our New Year's Eve event food very good and entertainment great thank you
I would like to see is a better choice of starter for Children on Christmas Day as not all Children like soup ( May be chicken goujons) I also did mention this on booking. But other than that Shirley and her staff done a fantastic job with the service so that it ran smooth. Also compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff. We would return.
You need to get some gravy boats as people keep tipping their gravy on the floor and it’s a heath and safety issue as someone could have a bad fall on it, also the dessert you need to have a better variety not all fruit or chocolate otherwise the food is good.
Fantastic friendly service - The meal was great. Will definitely be booking for next Christmas day
Waiting staff were fantastic, the female manager was very organised and on the ball and very pleasant to customers, shame the food wasn't up to standard
We are pleased to say that all you and the staff were excellent and attentive. The food was superb and will certainly look to book ate your restaurant again. Thank you for making our Christmas special, congratulations.
Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. We have been to the Heritage Hotel for Christmas lunch for quite a few years now and this year was easily the best. The only thing that could possibly be improved on is a greater choice of grown-up soft drinks for the drivers
Attended Xmas day , perfect in every way ,food and service was a very high standard , made Xmas a wonderful time for my family
Many thanks for one of the best Christmas lunches I've ever had & nearly 50!! Amazing food & service 👍
The restaurant and bar area was cold. One waiter was helpful and other waiter was very poor in communicating with us. We asked for Yorkshire pudding but was told it would take too long to cook. However you had a roast dinner with Yorkshire’s on your menu. Breakfast on both days was very good and nice selection on menu.
The only criticism I would have is that the Prosecco served was not chilled and hence not very pleasant. No-one wants warm fizz
Attended the curry night , with all the family , we all throughly enjoyed great atmosphere, dj was great put us all ready for the festive season ahead , all the staff were very pleasant on arrival with the pre drinks great night *****
It was a bit empty of other customers which affected the atmosphere. The staff were very willing but difficult to find on a couple of occasions when we wanted something. There were long periods of time when no staff were visible at all.
Impressed with the overall meal. Dietary requirement was all ready and waiting for us. Chocolate brownies were not very nice. Most of our table left them. Felt the band went on for too long. Would have preferred more of the disco.
Overall food was nice although main meal was cold when served.
There’s only one thing I would like to say about the Sunday lunch, is you need gravy boats because people are spilling their gravy on the floor as they walk back to their seats and it’s going to cause an accident.
Offered leek and potato soup...2ordered this and told 10 minutes later chef couldn’t find it!! Both risotto dishes poor Waited 20 minutes after our main meal and no one came to take plates away or offer dessert menu!! No waiters around and I had to go into the kitchen to find someone!!
Newly renovated and looking amazing. Great bar and restaurant menu. Staff were wonderful. Excellent value for money. Solid pint of Staropramen as well :)
As I only live two miles away I take this place for granted. Forgot how good relaxing it is and how good the food is.
Table booked for 7 adults and 12 children, food was lovely and good value for money. Would definitely go back.
