About The Litton
Country pub with 12 boutique guest rooms
Lovely meal, friendly staff.
Great new local
It was my second visit to Litton and I just love this pub. Dog friendly means that our dogs can come with us on a day trip to Somerset and have fabulous meal too. Staff is always super friendly and attentive. Can’t fault it. Best pub I know by far! We travel hour just to do dog walk and have food there x
We didn’t stay! After half an hour at our table with no one remotely interested in serving us with drinks or anything at all really, I went to the bar (not even busy) and was ignored by a total of 5 people. A look, a ‘be with you in a sec’ would have done. We left. Never to return. And yes they knew we were there, we booked, were given menus on arrival and told to sit anywhere
Not very often you great food, customer service and surroundings.
Really good food and a great atmosphere, will definitely be back.
fabulous decor,the food was delicious
We had a fabulous evening... thank you
4 of us booked for a meal to celebrate my wifes birthday. As we arrived I could see that the Litton was popular from the amount of cars in the car park usually a good sign and it met expectations. The service was excellent and the food lovely..we were checked by staff that everything was good ..in fact they could not do enough for us.We will be back sooner rather than later
Lovely location with lots of happy families enjoying the sunshine. Food was delicious. Will be back.
Very friendly attentive and accommodating staff. I've been to The Litton many times over the past 10 or so years and this is the best refurbishment. I particularly like the layout of the bar and restaurant.
I ha he been fit afternoon tea on numerous occasions. Always good. On this occasion I was taking my husband for his first visit. We pre booked and arrived 40 minutes early. Sitting outside. When we went inside at 2pm as booked. We had to wait 45 minutes for sandwiches and cake... A total of 1.5 hours post arrival! Very disappointed. Waitress however was very nice.
A lovely selection of top quality dishes. Succulent scallops for starters, a delish sea bass for main, topped off with a lovely blanced selection of puds. Very attentive staff and a lovely atmosphere as usual.
Lovely setting, beautiful food, staff excellent!
Brilliant customer service - it was absolutely next level from being greeted to our evening servers to breakfast the next day. Best soup Ive ever had, however our mains and one starter were really lacking seasoning but apart from that really can't complain. Lovely room, bed is slightly too short but that's OK and room collects the heat a lot so we really appreciated the high tech fan that was in our room. Free bottles of water were a lovely touch - loved these were glass and not plastic.
Brought my wife here for our anniversary and kitchen ran out of gas. We saved face and were very upset. We were not told and only after waiting for main courses for 1.5 hours, we approached a young waitress who told us of the issue. We should have been made aware of this when happened. We could have been waiting for hours.
We had a really lovely family Sunday lunch with friends. The children’s menu I would say was a bit limited and could have been better, but the food when it arrived was pretty good. The adult portions were huge - glad we didn’t go for starters or there’d have been no space for pudding! The atmosphere was lovely but the service was a bit hit and miss - some staff were brilliant but others didn’t seem as though they wanted to be there. Still overall a really lovely lunch and we would come back.
Fabulous as always, we love coming to you!
We had mouldy chickpeas on our starter. We complained and it took over 5 minutes for a member of staff to return to our table and address the issue. The waitress who took the plate didn’t say sorry at all. We were then offered more hummus which we didn’t feel was an appropriate offer at all! When the mains arrived we had all been put off our meal somewhat, but one member of our party felt unable to eat her food. I made a waitress aware of this but there was no offer to remove this from the bill until I brought this up again, with a different waiter. When we asked for the bill both the starter (mouldy!) and the uneaten main appeared on our bill so again we needed to prompt this to be fixed. We were thoroughly disappointed because we have eaten with you before and had a good experience.
We were shown to a seat inside and asked if we were able to sit outside. The waiter said of course, that he didn't serve on that area and that somebody would be out to serve us shortly. We waited over ten minutes to be told that you don't do table service outside. The waitress said that they would try to remember our order but seemed really unsure and clearly didn't want to, so i said that we would go to the bar and order. The meal itself was lovely. When paying I took my card with my tab number on to the bar and there was a problem because my tab number was empty. After me repeating what I had ordered a couple of times and the staff searching through all the different tabs that were on the system it was eventually found. Service needs some work.
As always me and my partner were made to feel most welcome and will still continue to go back. Great food and staff are spot on...thumbs up all round
Attractive venue, varied menu choices. Relaxed and friendly staff.
A great first time at the Litton. Will definitely come again!
As usual a Great Sunday Roast, highly recommended
