About The Little Chartroom
A small neighbourhood bistro serving local, seasonal dishes.
Very quaint atmosphere. Unpretentious, delicious food.
Best brunch in Edinburgh. That simple.
This small restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the service is friendly and efficient. The lunch set menu is exceptionally good value and on 16th March all three courses offered were interesting, well presented and delicious. The a la carte options also look very attractive.
We had a lovely evening. The food was delicious. Thank you!
Nice venue. Small
A great ambience in the restaurant, appetising aromas from the kitchen and a warm welcome greeting all contributed to a great start. The restaurant has a pleading to the eye scandi style complemented by the food being presented on lovely rustic plates. The set menu might be limited in choice but 4 of us were happy to eat all three courses. The a la carte menu food served at the table next to us looked amazing. The food had intense flavour and colour ,and the portion size was perfect for all of us. Overall our experience was really good and we will return soon !
Wonderful, fresh, original dishes. Restaurant itself is very small, a bit too cramped when it's full.
Very small so can't avoid tables being so close together. We had the table next to the only toilet so not ideal.Very distracting. Soup was lukewarm rather than hot otherwise very tasty.
Superb seasonal dishes prepared in charming surroundings by a warm, experienced team.
A really enjoyable experience. Small and intimate with great atmosphere. Food excellent and reasonabley priced. Good selection of wines.
Fabulous dinner with 7 work colleagues. Between us we tried all dishes on menu bar one desser!! Each was delicious. Two said “Best gnocchi ever!!” Looking forward to a return visit
Delicious food and wines served by friendly and professional staff in a relaxed and intimate setting
We visited in March 19 for a birthday lunch. Turned out we had booked the wrong day and were having brunch instead (completely my fault, mis read the website). We were seated at the bar which was great as we got to see all the action in the kitchen. The food was next level and was complemented by some excellent drinks all from Scottish made spirits including home made bloody Marys and top class service from waiting staff and kitchen staff alike. We all can't wait to go back and try there evening menu hopefully some time soon.
We had a delicious brunch at The Little Chartroom finished with a warm rhubarb donut!
Food was excellent; great place and will be back.
A great first visit for brunch and looking forward to the two dinner reservations i have made. Highly recommended. Alasdair
Food was amazing and service was warm and friendly. Can’t wait to go back
We had a wonderful lunch in relaxed and very friendly surroundings. All of our food was absolutely beautifully cooked. We would recommend Little Chart Room to anyone but make sure you book well in advance!
Fabulous little restaurant- gets everything right - amazing food, lovely service, magical ambience. A true little gem. We will be back. Thankyou!
I'll definitely come back the next time I wisit Edinburgh, thanks!
Great meal and lovely service Will be back
Perfect cooking, a cosy relaxed setting and attentive (though not intrusive) service. What more could you want? We loved our meal at The Little Chartroom so much that we wanted to return the next day and experience it all over again! I will eat anything this chef cooks - so delicious. We especially liked that it was fine dining without the over the top fuss (like having your wine glass filled) in more formal establishments. We will definitely return when next in Edinburgh.
An exceptional meal. Amazing team.
We were there for brunch on Sunday 3 March. The food was great ( the celeriac remoulade and the posset especially) and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. We'll definitely be back. Thanks all!
