About The Little Chartroom
A small neighbourhood bistro serving local, seasonal dishes.
I would highly recommend this restaurant. Wonderful attention to flavour combinations and presentation. I loved the atmosphere - small and froendly
We all very much enjoyed our meal and the whole experience. The food was top notch and the service was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back.
Just fabulous - first of many visits
Decided to book following positive review in the Scotsman. Pre festival lunch was 5* in every respect. Great laid-back service from front of house as well as chefs delivering food to table. Helpful advice on wine selection (by the glass) as we wanted red and white options. Great service. Food was really interesting - we both opted for haggis sausage roll with tasty turnip ketchup and wonderful sourdough bread and salted butter. Wife thought her hake main was delicious and perfectly cooked. My pork belly and cheek was one of the best dishes I’ve eaten this year - again perfectly cooked and the Jus was moreish. Perfect carrots and cabbage to accompany. For desert we shared blue murder with chicory marmalade and apricot - first for us and very interesting. It could have equally been an starter. We are not sweet-tooth’s so it was perfect. First visit to coincide with festival but we plan to travel from Fife for dinner as soon as can. In summary perfect unpretentious little bistro.
My wife Nikki and I had a delicious lunch . Everything tasted so fresh . It was helped along with a lovely bottle of Rose Shaun is a top guy and looked after us perfectly Look forward to the next time
Everything was superb! The intense but light flavours of each dish really shone and the cooking, particularly of the fish, was beautiful. We also enjoyed some of the best desserts we have had in a restaurant, they were perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The great wine list should also get a mention. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Really delicious - will definitely be back!
We had a lovely time. Great food and service. Our table was at the bar watching the food prep which was fascinating. Very happy to support a new local business. I expect them to do very well.
Don't want to use hyperboles, that would be uncool. It was absolutely wonderful. Full stop.
Excellent Experience, great job :)
Excellent food, wine and service. Clearly a massive attention to detail.
Superb cooking, great flavours in intimate surroundings
We had an excellent meal with you. Staff, service and the food were all fantastic. We were very well looked after and the food was creative and interesting. Would recommend.
In for a nice relaxing brunch. Haggis Sausage Roll was great and the dessert was outstanding.
Fantastic little place with the perfect balance of a nod to local suppliers and top class dining with said ingredients. will be a regular visitor and can't wait to see what they coem up with next.
Absolutely delicious brunch! Will definitely be back to taste the rest of of the menu. Great edition to Leith Walk.
Wonderful meal. A fantastic restaurant. Food is superb and atmosphere very relaxed and welcoming. We love this place!
Food was amazing and great place to visit
When your brunch is as beautifully presented (and flavourfull) as a high end dinner you know are onto a good thing - definitely worth a visit!!
Really great brunch at The Little Chartroom - small menu but between us we ordered most things and everything was delicious! Very attentive staff and I'd definitely recommend it.
Lovely little restaurant , with excellent service . Had a really nice brunch .
Excellent food, I particularly like the concise menu and no tasting menu - hallelujah, I for one am fed up of eating endless courses, most I wouldn't order given the choice, and finishing bloated, pissed and broke! Service very good and knowledgeable. Good affordable wine list but limited beers due to size restrictions - this is a small restaurant! Highly recommend and will be back.
Delicious dinner last Thirsday!! Friendly service from knowledgable staff. Having visited for both brunch and dinner, all I can say is “book yourself a table” in this small and ambient restaurant. You will not be disappointed!!
The background music was not obtrusive, but I personally would prefer no music at all. Dinner is a time for conversation; music is to be listened to or else it is pointless. A window blind is needed on a sunny evening when direct sun can make the room uncomfortable.
