About The Life Goddess Kingly Court, greek food & wines
In Greek tradition and culture cultivating, preparing and sharing food is a ritual. The journey of the senses starts from mother-earth and finishes at a feast on a table where all the family, friends and companions share the same nourishment and enjoy the sublime result of their efforts. For Greeks preparing a meal for someone is the ultimate token of respect, gratitude, friendship and love. Our philosophy is that good quality sustenance is the epitome of a healthy and happy life! At The Life Goddess we offer food that is grown in the ideal Greek climatic conditions: fruit and vegetables ripened under the abundant Greek sunlight, meat, fish and poultry grown by local cattle farmers and fishermen using traditional environment-friendly methods, superbly balanced, mouth-watering appetizers, salads, main courses and preserves in recipes that will simply blow your mind and arguably the best wines you ever tasted! The Life Goddess, greek experimental divine, our second project that opened in Kingly Court mid of September, encaptures a great effort to serve not only proper greek food but unique greek wines. The One Barrel project is a well executed idea that will offer 15 experimental wines in a total quantity of 300 bottles only, each time. Signature cocktails will be made and served exclusively for The Life Goddess, experimental.
Availability
Portion sizes are very generous - 2 warm starters to share between the two of us were delicious we had the feta fondue and the stuffed vine leaves. I had the vegetable risotto being vegetarian was limited and although it was a little bland it was still enjoyable. My friend had the lamb kebab and really enjoyed and it was massive. Atmosphere brilliant as always and service couldn’t fault!
Amazing food and lovely staff!
Wonderful location and fantastic food! Cant wait to visit again!!
Brilliant, relaxed experience
I have made a reservation for dinner at Life Goddess Kingly Court online, and I called up this afternoon to confirm the reservation for tonight. I am half Greek half British, so native in both English and Greek. The member of staff who answered my call was extremely rude to begin with, they asked me to repeat my name and details of reservation over three times and then asked me to hold whilst they spoke to another member of staff in Greek, saying that I speak like sh*t and they cannto make sense of me (in Greek that was : ' Afti milaei skata kai den vgazo akri malaka '.) I have made the second member of staff I spoke to aware of the situation speaking them in Greek and explaining that I speak both languages and I heard the disgusting comments made for me. They did not apologise or acknowledge their appalling behaviour and kept asking for the booking details. I have requested to speak to the manager and I explained the situation to them yet again. The manager did not apologise for the disgusting comments made from the staff asking me to not pay attention as the staff is having a bad day. This is extremely poor performance and lack of both management and client facing skills on behalf of management and left me frustrated and with no other choice than to cancel the booking. I can only imagine what is being said about customers that do not speak and understand in Greek so much so that management treats this as an ordinary situation and not a big deal to apologise to the customer for. I was born in the UK and very confident that I am perfectly understood whilst speaking in English. But I can only imagine again how insulting this would be for someone who actually has a speech impairment. Will not be returning and will make all friends and family aware of the situation.
Great greek food!
Fantastic experience at The Life Goddess Kingly Court! Staff was super nice, food was perfect (although could have had a little more on the plate for even better value for money!). Out of fava that day, but hummus was equally good. Do recommend and will come back!
We had a great time and the staff was really nice. The food and drinks were really good. The only problem was the masks!! No one had their masks on properly (they were barely on their chins), not even in the kitchen. It's a shame, especially one day before lockdown.
Staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was really tasty and the meat was lovely and tender! Definitely would recommend!
Cozy place with delicious food.
Food was a bit salty, waiter not the most helpful, left unattended at the bar for a while.
I went there with a group of friends to have a dinner.. everyone had a nice experience and the food was delicious
All of the staff at The Life Goddess from the front of house back to the kitchen, could not have done more to make my first dinner with them a perfect evening. The food was Amazing, complimented further by the Greek wines. 5 Stars
We always come here on our anniversary and we always request the window seat and we always get it. The staff are great with a great sense of hospitality and are very helpful. The food is always lovely and the wine complements it very well. We will continue to come back.
Booked on their website, arrived to an unopened restaurant to be told that they didnt open for another hour... even though we received a booking confirmation for that time. Maybe they should ensure people can't book a table for times that the restaurant isn't open?
Lovely food, excellent table service
I would not recommend anyone visiting The Life Goddess. Last year I went with a friend for brunch and had a great time - food was delicious with large servings and great customer service. I booked online again for brunch but when I turned up with a friend the door was open but was not open for service. When I said I had a booking the lady behind the counter just shrugged her shoulders and said they weren't open for another 1.5 hours - not even an apology! Safe to say I won't be going back.
Tried to call them to make a booking several times and the phone was "off the hook" all day (this is very unprofessional), so I made a booking online via ResDiary, received confirmation of the booking, and when I arrived at the restaurant there was a private event on. Didn't even get an apology for the inconvenience. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. If this is how they treat their customers, I do not feel like I want to ever go back there again, so expect disappointment with their booking system unless you actually manage to speak to someone on the phone (good luck with that). This could've easily been avoided if they just took a few minutes of their time to just make the bookings on the day unavailable.
Pita was hard and chewy and looked like it was ready bought and just toasted. Tiny amount of potatoes, tstatsiki and salad leaves were from a ready to eat pack. The only thing tasty was the meat. Service was okay but not very attentive. All in all much too expensive for what it was. Wouldn’t come back.
Lovely staff and amazing food!
Great food! 👍
We had brunch. Great selection of fresh food and cocktails. Warm service and atmosphere. The best Greek salad I’ve had outside of Greece. Would definitely recommend this restaurant
Food was lovely, staff super friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back.
Delicious food in a great atmosphere
Great service. Wine list is great. Food enjoyable, tasty but a bit expensive for what you get - 4 starters was around £50. The space is too tight so as relaxing. I think I would go back if I was in the area.
