About The Leicester Arms
A 17th century coaching Inn nestled in an idylic Kentish country village 45 minutes from London and 10 minutes from Tunbridge Wells. Come for dinner, stay for breakfast.
Great food and staff coped well in the wind Thank you enjoyed
Service could have been quicker
Lovely friendly staff, great food, beautiful garden
A great haven after walking locally. The Terrace is delightful.
We had lunch in the garden during the outdoors only period in 2021.The reception was excellent and so was the subsequent service. Someone was always unobtrusively checking that we were all right. The food was very good and my bream excellent. Its is not cheap but it is worth it. This is proper restaurant food not pub grub. We will be back.
Look forward to trying again in more reasonable conditions for reviewing when we are allowed to dine inside. Doesn’t seem fair to review based on outside dining in a wind tunnel.
Excellent lunch Lamb wraps Service was very good , nice to see an owner going round all the tables
We had a simply lovely time. Thank you.
Lovely food, good beer - Covid-19 limitations notwithstanding!
Great to see Leicester Arms open again. Excellent service and very lovely garden. Looking forward to many more visits.
A very enjoyable lunch in spite of the high winds! The octopus was ever so tender, beautifully done, and my husband said his burger with cheese and bacon was absolutely delicious! Very friendly and happy atmosphere, thank you to the staff!
Fabulous country pub! Even with outside dining restrictions in place there is a great atmosphere and attentive staff. Excellent food sensibly priced. Very dog friendly making it the perfect place for lunch after a walk. Highly recommended.
A great lunch in the Leicester Arms garden despite the wind and cold. Great service & tasty food
Visited on Saturday for my wife's birthday. Not up to the usual standards. The waiting staff were not that well organized. I ordered a botte of wine and could see it sitting up at the bar waiting to be delivered to the table. In the end we cancelled the bottle as we were nearing the end of our meal when it was finally delivered. There was also a problem in the kitchen with an electrical blackout, so our starter was cancelled. Not the pubs fault. Will put it down as a one off. Roast was nice though. All other experiences have been good.
Staff were lovely and very attentive
vegetarian portion (roasted cauliflower) was way too small, particularly for the price, but was tasty. Reports from the others say the rest of the food was pretty good but not great. Service was slow to the point where our drinks came so late we needed to cancel them and one table was waiting a really long time for their mains. This was probably a result of us being right at the end of the garden and I must say all the staff themselves were excellent!
We visited for lunch on the bank holiday Monday and the lunch was very tasty and despite the weather not being great, the atmosphere made up for it and friendliness of the staff. The only downside was that we overheard other items being offered that were not shown on the menu, and we would have had this option had we known
Hi - our drinks were sat on the bar for 10 minutes - which meant we had food and drinks delivered at the same time. Golden rule of hospitality is to give customers a chance to enjoy a drink first so that they then order another to go with the meal.
Overall a great venue, awesome BBQ and super friendly and attentive service - thanks team.
Excellent live music from Fred Clark over bank holiday weekend.
Food was fantastic - to produce a roast so good outside is amazing. The sirloin of beef was beautifully cooked. Music was brilliant. Thank you Lawrence !
Great place lovely food excellent staff
We had such a lovely Sunday lunch, great atmosphere and fantastic service.
The staff are so lovely and friendly
