About The Left Bank
The left bank serves delicious home cooking from breakfast 'til supper in a comfortable, inviting bar & kitchen. Using seasonal and local produce wherever possible, our extensive menus include bar snacks, smoothies, cocktails, coffees, brunch, lunch, all day mains, an evening menu and an extensive range of wines available by the glass.
Attended for booked table to find the establishment completely closed. Very disappointed. No communication from Left Bank.
Perhaps deactivate your booking system when you guys are not open because myself and 3 friends had got all dolled up and showed up to Left Bank at 7:30pm (as booked) and the bloody place was closed.
Unable to rate highly as on arriving at the restaurant with a booking (made earlier that evening) at 2015 we were told the kitchen was closed. No attempt made to communicate this left us scrabbling for another option. Not impressed. Previously have enjoyed food/atmosphere.
Nice food, good vegan choices lovely staff
Great vegetarian/vegan food, great non alcoholic drinks, great atmosphere, great music playing, and most of all great staff. One of them has a lovely dog too.
Nice enough place, though the food is quite expensive for what you get.
This was our first time at the restaurant and won't be our last. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our visit. All the staff were very welcoming and courteous.
Lovely meal and very child friendly.
I love The Left Bank but I feel like they were very short-staffed on the day of my reservation. We waited over 20mins for someone to come and get our order and our poached eggs were really hard-boiled eggs and slightly vinegary. I imagine they were very busy in the kitchen. The waiter did take our drinks off the bill once we mentioned this so I really appreciate that. I still love left bank as their food is often very impressive and the atmosphere is nice, but I do feel like they need to put more thought into how much staff they have on to handle the restaurant better.
Staff were incredibly friendly and willing to help. Food was delicious and catered for dietary needs.
The Left Bank was our favourite restaurant when we lived in Glasgow and we used to eat there often. We returned last night for the first time in a long time. The food was just as good, the atmosphere just as lovely and the staff just as friendly. Our meal was great and we were so pleased to find those amazing ribs are still on the menu. Hope it's not too long before we're back again!
Great food and atmosphere! Prices are very nice as well
Perfect place for a Saturday catch up with friends over brunch!
Lovely place, great healthy and unusual food.
Interesting food and excellent service. We'll certainly be back.
The staff at Left Bank are lovely, and the Lebanese breakfast and a Bloody Mary is the most banging brunch around. Will return for dinner and cocktails soon!
Best breakfast in town by a mile !. Whole experience was excellent as this was the 2nd time I have been in ..... will be back.
Lovely and friendly staff. Great food and love how they cater for different allergies. Been to the left bank several times now and same quality of food and service each time.
Another enjoyable meal at The Left Bank. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely.
Poor menu choices with only average cooking No fresh vegetables available Very short wine list Service pleasant and polite but slow
The decor, atmosphere and service of Left Bank is always very pleasant and comfortable. As for drinks, unfortunately the first 2 Gins we ordered were out of stock and we had to choose a third. As for food, 3 of the main dishes were pleasant but pretty ordinary and the vegan dish was very unspectacular. In fact it was almost unpleasant in its saltiness, texture and colour.
Staff and service has been very friendly. Music has been a bit loud/ too unsettling (but that is my taste probably). I liked the taste of my goan masala but the experience was spoiled by having to fish the prawns out of the sauce, waiting for them to cool down, then having to peel the shell off the shrimps myself which was a very messy business. Also, sadly you did not have the ribs :-( even though pre-ordered. For families, it would be such a nice touch if you had something to colour in with crayons to keep the little ones busy until food is ready which can understandably take more than 30 mins on a busy day.
A huge thank you to Christine and the rest of the team who accommodated our ramshackle lunchtime party of 18 on New Year’s Eve with fantastic, attentive and extremely patient service. The food was brilliant, as it has been every time we have visited. Thank you all!
Lebanese breakfast always a treat.
Fantastic place to feast with your work colleagues. The customer service is outstanding though the food taste is average. However, the food is representable and served very well.
