About The Laughing Heart
Late Night Wine Bar, Dining Room and Off License
Fantastic Chinese Sunday lunch. Couldn't fault anything. We will be back.
Fantastic evening. Great food and wine. Good service.
We've been to this restaurant several times and it never disappoints.
Excellent experience all round. The food is well thought out and different to what most restaurants offer. Both chef and owner very passionate about food/drink making The Laughing Heart a memorable and Highly enjoyable place to visit and eat.
Great, will definitely be back and bring more friends!
So fabulous, I'm back again next week!!
One of the best meals I have had in London this year, outstanding food, wine and service. Possibly the best new restaurant to open in London in a long time!
Our waiter / waitress were lovely, helpful, friendly and explained everything. Loved the lighting, music, mood, we didn't feel rushed and really enjoyed ourselves. Only downside was that we felt the wine sommelier was a little bit rude / uninterested when we said we only wanted to spend £30 max on each bottle of wine (we ordered 3 bottles in total). Although it may have been in reaction to one of my guests being rude first and shouting outing about wines being expensive. I thought the wines he selected for us were perfect - as I said, he could have been reacting to the negativity of my friend being rude first! I'm defo coming back soon, we'll done, an excellent dining experience, loved the late license!
I would say the food is overpriced, portions are too small for the price and value.
Cannot wait to visit again!
Overall very nice. Calling the steak dish a "9 year old dairy cow" felt a bit try-hard and pretentious. However, the tucked away cutlery - brilliant!
This is clearly a very specific type of venue aimed at the wine uber middle class. I was disappointed to be treated as the underclass.
Nothing short of perfection. Our every need was catered for. The food sublime and the wine nectar. One of the best experiences we have had in a long time. Thank you and congratulations.
Simply superb! The night out of choice in London this winter. Food, wine, ambience, service are all fantastic.
lovely, thanks very much
The food was amazing. The only things I wasn't keen on were the drawers with cutlery, which I must admit I find a bit gimmicky and and the equally unnecessary loud music from speakers that were above all tables.
Absolutely loved the food, wine and evening at the laughing heart! Staff very attentive and friendly too. My favourite new local!
Excellent food with exceptional wine and great atmosphere. I'm still dreaming of the dripping toast, would highly recommend
Fourth time coming and never had a single problem with the food, the wine and the help provided by the staff. Which is very rare. Probably my new favorite place.
Fantastic food, an ambience. Would definitely go back!
We had such high hopes for this restaurant but we were terribly disappointed. For a place with a philosophy of "sharing plates" we were genuinely surprised to see that the mains-sized portions (steak, truffle pasta) to be bigger than a starter you'd get at any other restaurant. The sommelier also sold us probably the worst wine that any of us had ever tasted - at £37 a bottle. After trying everything on the menu (sometimes twice as they were so small) we left. We certainly won't be going back.
Great food and unbeatable wine list
