About The Lamb on the Strand
A warm welcome awaits you here at The Lamb On The Strand. A family business, offering excellent food and drink in the cosy and relaxed atmosphere of our Restaurant and Pub. We are located on the A361 between Trowbridge and Seend. Quite simply a wonderful place to be. Once inside a warm welcome awaits, dinning is enjoyed throughout the cosy interior. An open fire, soft lights & candles provide a subtle ambiance the sound of light background music and aroma of mouth-watering food being prepared completes the pretty picture.

Excellent meal, highly recommended
Usual high standard of service food and atmosphere, that's why my girlfriend and I keep returning.
We cannot fault The Lamb on the Strand - the specials board is exactly that 'very special' and the 'normal menu' equally good. Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, professional and attentive staff without being intrusive. What more can we say, except a huge thank you!
A much improved experience. In a party of nine. All 3 courses of the menu for the day were excellent.
Food slightly undercooked for some and a bit of a wait for food. Friendly staff, clean and presentable pub.
Always enjoy my visits to this lovely pub - this was a Sunday lunch and the set menu choices were very good for the money. Both my husband and myself enjoyed the starters and main course but, sadly, had no room for a pudding which look very good too
A somewhat limited menu however the presentation of the food couldn't be faulted. The food overall was excellent however the Blue Cheese starter was disappointingly lacking in flavour of cheese. Conversely the Garlic Bread Bites were gorgeous and almost a meal in themselves. Fish dishes were really good as were the deserts although we felt that the cheese board was overpriced at £11.00 which seemed a lot to pay for 3 cheeses! Overall a pleasant evening in nice surroundings with polite and attentive staff. Would go there again.
Lovely welcome from staff on arrival and nice atmosphere. Food well prepared and presented and portions not too big. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.
Wonderful Sunday roast! The staff are so helpful and considerate. A real lovely eating experience for Fathers Day! Thank you.
We love coming to The Lamb on the Strand. Service is always amazing, especially how accommodating you are for vegetarians. Thank you!
Thank you Bronya and Ian for yet another wonderful Sunday lunch at The Lamb. Excellent in every respect. Val and Ernie
In the past, we have tried several pubs in the area for a decent Sunday roast. We have now stopped looking as The Lamb on the Strand is just perfect. We go every 2 or 3 weeks and are never disappointed with the food, atmosphere and service. We went today with my sister and partner who drove from Gillingham, and they are definitely paying another visit very soon. Well done to Ian, Bronye and all the staff.
First time at th lamb on the strand. The food was superb! Really good selection, and tasted fantastic.
Wonderful warm welcome on arrival, informative waitress, nice selection of option on the menu and specials broad, no pressure to order food quickly, reasonable time between courses to allow you to enjoy the food. The only negative to this attractive building was sitting facing a room which had stacked chairs coat stand and clutter in my eye line every time I looked up, but saying that the excellent stand of the food and wine, we have already booked to come again and this time bring our family
Friendly team, good food at reasonable price and a comfortable ambience.
Always a welcome for all ages, great food and very friendly, helpful team.
We had the best Sunday roast i’ve had in a restaurant. The beef melted in your mouth. The staff are warm and friendly and the food was superb. My favourite place in Wiltshire.
An enjoyable meal, the dessert menu is somewhat restricted though and the coffee/ ice cream is very over priced.
Very enjoyable, food was great. Service was good. 2nd visit and both times great experience
Our second visit and just as impressed. Had Sunday roast off set menu which was lovely. Was a little cross when seeing some customers have deserts not on the menu!! My husband would have loved the crumble they had!!
Excellently Sunday lunch and definitely the place to eat if you want something special.
Absolutely loved it. After months of trying to get a table we will definitely be back
Lovely, friendly pub. Was nice being able to take our puppy. Staff were all very attentive, including what I presume to be landlady :) very tasty food as well.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Portion size for us was just right and well cooked - we didn't feel over faced by a mountain of poorly cooked food as found in some establishments.
Lovely place great fresh home cooked food, the best thing for us is you are not crammed in and the service is unhurried but also attentive. Great for a nice relaxed few hours especially after a rough week. In modern terms a great chill out spot!!😋
