About The Lamb Inn
Our intimate, homely restaurant serves a delicious menu of seasonal dishes that celebrate the fantastic local ingredients that we have on hand here in the Cotswolds. On Sundays, join us with family and friends for a traditional Sunday lunch - nothing fussy, just good food done really well!
For more relaxed dining; our bar, lounge and English country garden are open daily. However these areas offer walk-in service only and are not bookable in advance. Four-legged friends are welcome in these areas too.
We couldn't fault you! The staff have been amazing and the service has been brilliant! We haven't wanted for anything. We look forward to coming back to stay with you in the future, and will happily recommend you to all our family and friends. What a well run establishment. A big thank you to you all for making our trip so memorable and welcoming. With thanks Dawn & Brendan
Had a lovely pre-Christmas lunch in our of our favourite places in Burford. Staff made us very welcome and food was excellent. Thank you.
Food lovely, gorgeous roast beef. Only grumble would have been that I would have liked more cauliflower cheese. Beef was beautiful. Service wonderful as always. Shame it was so quiet, though no fault of the pub. Wished we had eaten in the bar as although quiet might have been less echo and more snug. Recommend the food and service though and will be back.
Lively pre Christmas meal, service great and food really nice especially the mushroom croquette starter.
My starter (scallops) was good, but the salad which came with my chicken schnitzel was drenched in rather stale oil. The pithivier pastry which was part of my wife's dish also tasted stale to her. We both enjoyed the flavours of lemon meringue pudding and sorbet although the meringue itself was soggy not crisply baked. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but there was not much atmosphere overall, e.g., absence of table clothes, which of course may in part be due to the Covid constraints.
Everything well run and friendly, despite current issues...
Great room and dinner - lovely friendly staff and a great location
Excellent and wonderful food, the best we have had anywhere for a very long time
We had a lovely meal and time at the Lamb, and would definitely return. However, the pub could have had some soft background music playing as it was very quiet and lacked a bit of atmosphere as a result. In addition, the seating was impractical, seats were low or not close enough to the table to dine. Service was good and staff were friendly.
Lovely atmospheric hotel, ideal for Cotswold exploring. All staff very attentive without being overbearing & extremely friendly, especially Bill & Kate. Undoubtedly we will return to enjoy the very pleasurable experience of staying at The Lamb.
Beautiful hotel in beautiful village. We stayed in room Rosie which has its own private garden - great for our dog! The room was very comfortable as was the bed although it tended to get too warm at times, so we just opened the windows! The food was excellent, but being picky we wished there was a wider range of desserts. The bar area and lounges were very comfortable where it was great to sit before a roaring fire on a cold evening. Overall a great stay and we will definitely return.
