About The Lady Gregory
Poor service, terrible tight table stuck in an empty corner. When we tried to discuss the table selection we were told we had picked it! Which we hadn’t. Then the staff blamed the online reservation system and suggested we don’t use it in future. This out quite a dampener on our meal. Menu is limited and the exact same as the menu on the journey to France. Different menus for each leg would assist. Whilst the quality of the food is good, it’s not cheap.
Enjoyed meal very much however I was disappointed that I could not book breakfast online and despite being present when booking started on board could not secure a breakfast time that we wanted had to take 7.30 am which was very early
We had an excellent dinner with very good service. (Svetlana was our waitress). However, I booked our table on line while in France and booked it for 8.00pm. I automatically assumed this would be french time as the vessel was sailing from Cherbourg. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that our table wasn’t booked till 9.00pm. No where on the booking site does it say that times are always Irish time. This is something that needs to be fixed. I am sure others have experienced the same problem.
Splendid service and very good food.
The staff were so nice. Our waiter was Alex, he was very professional and friendly. I left my sunglasses by accident in the restaurant and they were very kindly returned to Guest services I really very much appreciated this honestly and kindness. Thanks for a really lovely evening in the lady Gregory. PS THE FOOD WAS FAB TOO!
Music in the dining room is badly missed ,used to love the Oscar Wilde dining experience.also think dinner is a bit expensive
