The chic Fairbanks Restaurant at The Kingsley is so named in a nod to the famous Cork ballad ‘The Banks of My Own Lovely Lee’, a song beloved by Corkonians which celebrates the beauty of the city and its river. A sophisticated and elegant space in which to spend time over a leisurely and enjoyable meal nestled in the heart of this four star hotel in Cork, Fairbanks is where our Executive Chef Gary Burke gets to indulge his most creative side. - See more at: http://www.thekingsley.ie/fairbanks-restaurant/#sthash.WYQ4tT5y.dpuf
Afternoon Tea is served in the K Lounge from 1.30pm-5pm daily & should be pre-booked to avoid disappointment.
Waitress was very accommodating as we had a toddler with us,
Staff are very accomodating and friendly
Excellent afternoon tea, fab area, very attentive staff and plenty of food and drinks
Lovely afternoon had by us all. Helpful, friendly staff made our family afternoon tea even nicer.
Excellent hotel and restaurant. Lovely settings. Felt a little rushed by waitor at the beginning. Overall the price for the food & service was about right.
We were served by a polish waitress with brown hair. The afternoon tea was good however the unprofessional of the waitress who served us was unacceptable. I paid at the till with the manager. As we left the hotel the waitress shouted across "girls you have to pay" I found this very embarrassing as other customers were staring. This experience would stop me from paying €60 again for afternoon tea
Afternoon tea - the food was nice but no atmosphere & too expensive for just food alone!!
Beautiful food.. lovely view. Very welcoming... but a bit pricey at 30 per person.
Staff are wonderful made my daughter's birthday so special she will never forget. All staff made a fuss of her and we're so helpful so thank you
Lovely relaxed atmosphere
The food was excellent. Loads of treats and plenty of hot drinks. We werent rushed and the staff were so nice. Lovely white linen on the table. Would definately recommend here to my friends and hope to return.
L ovely staff and food and venue
Great afternoon tea with lovely choice and endless supply of tea/coffee. Really enjoyable afternoon!
The afternoon tea was a surprise for my partner and we had a fantastic experience and our server Julieanne was a delight to deal with. I would highly recommend to everyone . We will definitely be returning for this 5 star experience.
My friends and I were so thrilled with our afternoon tea experience on Sunday last. There were 11 of us in total and everyone commented on the quality of the food and how pleasant our waitresses were. We are so grateful for your 5 star treatment; the ladies in our party are sleep deprived mamas of young kids so it was so lovely to be looked after by some one else for change! We will definitely be back.
Fantastic time every time my friend and I go to the Kingsley. The service from the staff is excellent, they're very helpful and friendly. I love the variety of food and drinks available.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and relaxing in the lounge for afternoon tea which looked very impressive with a lot of variety. However I was ordering from the lunch menu and while staff were very accommodating towards my dietary needs as there was nothing on the menu I could really eat I had to ask for a salad to be made up, which was also lovely and it was no issue having this made up, but I felt that €15.50 was a lot to charge for a bit of chicken and some salad leaves. Otherwise a very nice experience at your hotel
We didn’t feel the atmosphere was relaxing, no back ground music and shoved back into an empty room. The tables were laid out in a way that was difficult to mix with the group. The food was nice but nobody was overly impressed unfortunately. For such a group we thought we’d be warmly welcomed also but we were not.
We had a lovely experience with the Kingsley for afternoon tea.. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, service was fantastic.
Beautiful setting and atmosphere, service was excellent from start to finsh
Excellent service and location, some of the gluten-free treats (mainly the sandwiches) were a bit dry to eat, would have also loved to have gotten some of the salmon that the non-gluten free people got. Very happy we got to take leftovers home though, for sure high value for money!
We had a lovely afternoon spent having afternoon tea, the food was beautifully presented and staff were lovely. Will definitely return.
We had afternoon tea for Mother’s Day. It was so lovely from start to finish. Great service, staff are so friendly and helpful and I think it’s great value for money too. We will be back :)
Was brought here by my daughter for aternoon tea for mothers day. We travelled down from Dublin and I found the the food was delicious but was very disappointed in the bland tea cups and tea pot. When you are paying 60 Euro for 2 you expect a special tea with nicer china. I also asked for no cucumber on the sandwiches which I asked the manager and yet there was cucumber on them. We just picked it of but it would have been nice if they actually checked and made sure which she didn't. Not worth the price due to lack of detail and wouldn't recommend this to anyone especially when you have been waiting for a special moment to do this experience.
