The Kitchen - Relaxed Dining
The Kitchen provides an informal dining experience with an open plan layout offering you the chance to watch the Chefs at work. The à la carte menu features wood-fired pizzas, gourmet burgers, superfood salads and much more.
Burger was over cooked and dry, asked for some water at the table twice and never received any. Some servers looked very bored and unhappy to be there. Starters and desert we’re good however don’t think food was as good as it is made out to be or worth the price.
A great meal, only negative point was we were not told that starters would come out at different times (“tapas style” as the waiter informed us afterwards), but once they arrived were all delicious. The waiter was new, but was extremely helpful and ensured if he did t know something he would found out very quickly. We will be back.
Quite slow service and pricey
A lovely birthday lunch
Lovely food and atmosphere
Our waitress was very informative about the menu. We went with her recommendations and were not disappointed. The black garlic and truffle mayonnaise with the polenta starter was fantastic.
This was my third time here and previously it was fantastic, last night However was a disappointment as such slow service had to wait long time for food ask for the dessert menu which was such a shame and one of us had literally 4 chips with burger
We found the first waitress friendly and welcoming but the second waitress was the opposite.
Another great visit, many thanks.
Highly recommend for a Sunday brunch. Food & service was fantastic and good value for money. Staff were very accommodating and friendly...service with a big smile!
Deliciously delightful brunch!
We were a party of 6 for Sunday brunch. The staff were very understanding over the late arrival of 2 of our number and very helpful regarding gluten free requests from one of us. All in all a very pleasant experience. Super food!
A lovely relaxed experience - food was FAB, service was very attentive; will definitely be returning!
The service from the young lady with blonde hair (sorry can’t remember her name) was excellent. Ooo
would have been 5* all the way (as always) were it not for a disappointing dessert which had been overcooked and had to be sent back
Super service, fantastic food and a great venue.
It was our first time at The Kitchen and we were impressed service excellent and the food good. I like the fact that the menu is not too big so the food that you do offer is of a high standard
Thank you for making our engagement so special and going above and beyond what was expected.
had a lovely brunch last sunday and our waitress was lovey & friendly and looked after us very well. We are back in a few weeks !! One of our fav places. Thank you
Exceptional and unusual food in an informal atmosphere.
Young kids running around unsupervised Drinks orders often take too long Nice music, but too quiet
Hello, thank you for asking for feedback. Overall, we were happy with our experience & the waiting staff were friendly. However, the service was a little patchy. There was confusion over our starters, so we ended up getting our last one several minutes after we had finished the others. Then we ordered drinks but my son had to have his 3rd choice drink as the waitress had to come back twice, saying that they didn't have what he'd asked for. Main meals were great. We orders 2 desserts, both were lovely & served on boards with 'Happy Anniversary ' written on. Unfortunately, I had to ask for the vanilla Ice cream as it had been 'forgotten. We also had to remind servers that we hadn't had our coffee. Overall, lovely food but not the best service. Also, service was included in our bill (10.5%) & at no stage was any reduction offered for the several mistakes. I also think that staff should acknowledge that guests are leaving rather than ignoring them as they go.
I’ve eaten at the hotel several times and attended a course in the cookery school which I enjoyed very much but the meal at the kitchen was very poor. We had bread which was good then the wagu burger which was over cooked and very dry, the bacon was so over cooked I couldn’t even cut it! The service was incredibly slow having to look for people and try to catch them as they ran around and then felt ripped off because you add 10% service charge for terrible service! It’s a real shame as the restaurant atmosphere is great, the quality of the ingredients was good (although all very over cooked) and the wine list comprehensive. Very expensive for what was provided, so poor value.
will be back soon!
