The Kitchen - Relaxed Dining
The Kitchen provides an informal dining experience with an open plan layout offering you the chance to watch the Chefs at work. The à la carte menu features wood-fired pizzas, gourmet burgers, superfood salads and much more.
Fantastic meal, charming waitress and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you
Great service. Lovely atmosphere.
When trying to book for a Tuesday online the only option you got is tapas!!
Lovely food, friendly service. I would highly recommend the sunday roast!
Excellent in every way and no, I do not work for the Chewton Glen; it is just a great surprise in the UK to get such a complete package without fault.
Very friendly service and a great atmosphere. Be sure to leave room for pudding.
Nice building and set up Service exceptionally slow and whilst positive the staff all seemwd new and had little knowledge of where things were or how the team worked Food overpriced and our order we got was slightly wrong Had to wait over 30 mins to get bread for our toddler which we were told only option was to get the sourdough which we then found out was over £5 Also no communication that water on the table was to be charged for and not tap water We were very disappointed and have cancelled another reservation we had
Lovely lunch - thank you :-)
Good food, relaxed and friendly atmosphere
3rd visit ... the team are always welcoming and friendly and very happy to adapt menu for us as we don't eat meat. Desserts are amazing. Love having views of the kitchen staff who always look busy and professional. Shame the hot king prawn mezze no longer on the menu.
The light bites and mains were lovely. The drinks were unusual but delicious and varied. The desert was disappointing and didn’t match the quality of the rest of the meal. The service was friendly but lacked knowledge on the dishes and drinks available and was not at the standard one would expect given the price.
Took my mother and father here for lunch and it was absolutely lovely. Reasonably priced and service was great.
Booked Sunday for my family ---at the Kitchen ….the first problem was my son ordered a starter and received it 20 mins after everyone else as the waitress hadn’t put it down The starters and mains were lovely …..sticky toffee pudding lovely ….but choux bun was awful so hard and tough you could hardly get into it…..very disappointing We love Chewton Glen but would probably not visit the Kitchen again.
Visited The Kitchen for the 4th time and once again had such a great time, meeting James Martin was fantastic! Thanks especially to the lovely staff Jazmin and Cheryl who did a great job of looking after us. We will definitely be back. Thanks again. Michelle
Great food, as always.
The starter was lovely flatbread with beetroot humour, main course we Thought it was over priced for what we had, the burgers looked good though,
Really enjoyable food, well priced and a great atmosphere.
Lovely team that looked after us from start to finish.
Due to several road closures and an accident on the motorway we were running very late for our lunch and also for the Spa which was booked straight after. The staff at The Kitchen were very helpful and accommodating. We were served quickly and the food was delicious. They even brought out a special desert to celebrate my husband's birthday.
Great experience would definitely go back
As expected, a lovely setting and the most beautiful food (very generous food portions!). But the staff here truly make the experience. Attentive without being intrusive and welcoming to two small children even over a busy Saturday lunchtime. From the cosy fire as you walk in to the interest in watching the cookery school, my family couldn’t recommend highly enough and will definitely be going back :)
The team were really friendly, and the food and service were great.
Absolutely fantastic food and service; could not fault it at all, will definitely be returning.
