We had a wonderful evening and will be returning!
Absolutely fantastic, relaxed and informal atmosphere, combined with stunning food and service.
It’s very difficult to rate the atmosphere as it was quite quiet being a mid day lunch on a bike day ! however I loved the interior Very much. I’m returning in February and have already recommended it to several people 👌🏻
Excellent service and food
very enjoyable experience
Amazing steak. Perfectly cooked and lovely wine accompaniment
Our first visit to The Kitchen and will definitely be back. It was relaxed and we were made to feel very welcome. Service was mostly fantastic, especially the guy that initially served us (I wish I had caught his name) although a new staff member was, understandably very timid and did not seem to be hugely supported by her colleagues. The food was excellent, fresh and very good value. £4.50 for a bottle of water was a surprise when the bill arrived. A truly lovely evening. It felt like an affordable slice of luxury and peace.
The food and service was wonderful and we had a lovely evening
Superb food and service!
Lovely menu but a few more options would be good.
The food was delicious, service excellent. We thought it was pretty expensive even with 20% discount voucher! But very enjoyable.
Loved the friendly and welcoming atmosphere
Very enjoyable meal, although my mum choose the suet pudding which looked rather bland she wasnt so sure The puddings though made the star of the show amazing
Incredible evening, amazing food and service, couldn't have asked for anything more.
Such lovely friendly service and great menu recommendations.
An absolutely superb experience, the food was amazing and we received great service. Can’t wait to come back! Only frustration the child’s meals (14 years) came out as smaller portions despite paying in full but it was soon rectified. There were smaller children in the restaurant and it is likely they paid 50% and wouldn’t be able to eat a full plate. Only other small thing rather than the baked cheese to share cheese and biscuits would have been preferable. We shared four cheeses one was bought home the other three untouched as our party not keen on them. Thanks again for a great experience
Sunday 2/3 course deal is great. Food really good.
Absolutely delicious lunch and the prosecco was delightful!
we ate twice here during our stay at CG and were rather underwhelmed with the offering. Trying to be clever but not quite succeeding. On first visit no one told us about specials which was a shame as we would have had it. Also did not deliver correct order but we were too tired to complain.
Warm and friendly with fantastic service and calm atmosphere. We had a wonderful lunch and all said we will be returning. Will definitely be recommending.
Food was excellent, very helpful and friendly service. Will be coming back again
The meal I had yesterday was one of the best meals I've ever had. The service was excellent - the waitress, Kate, was friendly and personable. The kitchen staff gave my dad a special dessert as it was his birthday. He was so chuffed. We will definitely be returning in the future.
I really like The Kitchen, however I am not a huge fan of the menu. Burgers, Pizzas and Grilled steaks primarily - it feels like a 'Diner' menu. I have heard this feedback from many friends about the menu and was surprised to return after 2 years, so see that the menu has hardly changed. You can get burgers and pizza anywhere.... Needless to say the wine was superb, the staff lady was excellent and very informative, the setting is lovely and the chefs were a joy to watch in the background. Thank you, Suzie
Excellent staff who were engaging and really went the extra mile. Wonderful interaction with our children and really good crowd pleasing food. A great experience all round.
I had ordered the stone bass and I found that the accompaniment did not work. It was too overpowering and didn’t compliment the fish at all. Something like green vegetables would have worked much better. It was a shame as last year I had such lovely meals in the Kitchen restaurant.
