The Kitchen - Relaxed Dining
The Kitchen provides an informal dining experience with an open plan layout offering you the chance to watch the Chefs at work. The à la carte menu features wood-fired pizzas, gourmet burgers, superfood salads and much more.
Eating outside in a chilly wind is never going to be great but the staff and the facilities outside made it bearable and a pleasant experience. I look forward to returning once we can choose whether to eat inside or outside in the sunshine. Food as expected was great and a personal message and card from James was a nice touch in view of our Wedding Anniversary.
Lovely evening, great service and yummy food
Such a brilliant night would most certainly be recommended to everyone.
For my husbands 60th birthday we went for lunch with friends (the kitchen knew it was a surprise for him)!the food was amazing For £200 for 4 lunch it would of been nice if they had at least said happy birthday or wrote in his desert plate or anything. This is the first restaurant we have ever been too that didn’t even acknowledge it. Food was lovely x
Excellent staff providing wonderful food in difficult Covid circumstances.
We had an amazing time today celebrating 2 special birthdays. The team were very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed We can’t wait to come back again and are looking at the courses you have later in the year.
Lovely celebratory meal after a day at the Spa. The Staff was excellent and the roasted fish we had was both generous in portion and so perfectly cooked and served as were the vegetables. A fabulous location and we will be back again when hopefully the weather is a bit warmer.
Champagne was not chilled very disappointing!! Then Rather than tell me they didn’t have what I asked for (tia Maria) in my coffee they put something else in it which was disgusting and left an awful fast in my mouth.. so the delight of the meal was ruined due to the bad tast that was left in my mouth...
We had breakfast under cover next to the heaters and enjoyed exceptional service. The staff were friendly and attentive especially as it was quiet that morning as everyone else had cancelled due to the rain but there was sufficient rain cover provided & we used their blankets to keep extra warm. Quality of the breakfast especially the haggis, bacon and vegan sausages were exceptional. Only suggestion for improvement would be to offer more GF options (such as GF pancakes or pastries) given the price... .
Whilst the food is really good the service is shockingly slow and your staff don’t seem to care when this was complained about. We had to wait far too long for anything to arrive at our table and this isn’t good enough.
The setting was lovely and the heaters worked well overhead. All in all, a very enjoyable afternoon.
Such a great atmosphere of positive vibes from the staff. The outdoor new covered area was very comfortable. The staff worked hard at keeping everything 💯 Chewton standard. With covid safety measures. Such a pleasure to eat great food in such a lovely surroundings. Well done team Glen 👏 👍
Another great lunch. Can't fault the food or service.
Unfortunately some of our party noticed their battered fish to be "soggy" - we think because one of the meals was dropped and hence the others were kept back while it was replaced - in retrospect it would have been preferable to serve the other meals when freshly prepared and wait for the replacement. The outside dining atmosphere however was lovely and the staff were very helpful with blankets etc
Absolutely brilliant lunch
Great food and service. We were very well looked after !
Fantastic breakfast, drinks all included making it good value for money. The set up you have on the terrace was great, it was a rainy and windy morning but we were well sheltered and warm.
As always Faultless
Enjoyed the al fresco dining, covered area with heaters and blankets supplied freshly for each guest. Great service, amazing food!
Really love the atmosphere and ambience, and the service is very good. The restaurant feels special. However, as someone who frequents good restaurants often, the menu disappoints, especially the mains. This time had the battered Cornish catch and the batter was very thick and very soggy (looked crisp but wasn’t). I love it here but wish they changed the mains more frequently.
A lovely experience. Service was a little slow but can't fault our visit otherwise! A really special brunch.
Wonderful as always
Very friendly service. Great food. Lovely beer. Weren’t rushed at all.
Food has improved since last year - apple tart pudding was very cleverly done. Pizza was good but perhaps just a bit more sauce on base. Overall very good
