Welcoming and friendly ambience, attentive staff and delicious food
Lovely place, lovely staff and really nice food!
First time we have been since new ownership. Really enjoyed it, a bit chilly though as we were sat on the opposite side of the pub from the fire that was lit and felt cold throughout the meal.
We had a verry enjoyable meal, food and service very good. Slightly more expensive
Wonderful meal yet again. Great deal on too, so value for money was fab! I don’t know why we don’t visit more often! Thank you :)
First time we've been since the management changed. On the plus side: (1) quick and friendly service, unlike the previous long waits. (2) When mistakes were made, staff were very concerned and made every effort to rectify. (3) great to see excellent local wines on the list. On the minus side: (1) overall the food did not live up to its menu billing. My wife's cheese souffle was truly awful - not a souffle, swimming in grease, tasteless and not properly cooked. Her fish and chips were very ordinary, with poor batter and all the chips we saw at every table were undercooked. My starter (figs) was good and my main (venison) was reasonable, though the elements were not well put together. Desserts OK without being special. (2) whilst the staff were very friendly and helpful, they made a number of mistakes and did not seem to understand the food they were serving - I doubt they had tasted the dishes on the menu. Overall, the Kinmel Arms doesn't seem to have made up its mind whether it is offering ordinary pub food (e.g. fish and chips and the pie of the day) or fine dining and at the moment the calibre of the chef and brigade is clearly not good enough for the claims the restaurant makes and staff training is also needed.
Excellent service and food as always.
Fantastic food and service, definitely value for money
Lovely food and very pleasant staff at The Kinmel Arms - highly recommend.
Very enjoyable lunch in a lovely friendly setting
The staff are lovely, made us feel very welcome. They made a big fuss of our dog, which means a lot to us.This is our 3rd visit here,We came twice last May while on our holidays. Was a pleasure to return again on this visit. Will definitely be booking again.
The atmosphere is back at the Kinmel and love everything you are trying to do to make it better than ever Well done
Really lovely food and surroundings, just a little expensive for some dishes. Nevertheless I would highly recommend eating at The Kinmel
Food was delicious, staff were friendly and professional. Value for money on the weekly deal was brilliant.
More choice of main meals.
Excellent Sunday lunch. A generous portion of beautifully cooked beef with all the trimmings. Delicious puddings, all served by attentive staff. We shall definitely return.
Food was really nice and massive portion sizes. Really good value for money.
Good service, great food
We had a really beautiful meal at the Kinmel Arms on Friday, there was 6 of us and all had something different, everything was cooked to perfection and the desserts were fabulous, lovely friendly staff in beautiful surroundings, would highly recommend, will be going again soon, Thank you !
The pub is very nice, clean, well kept and in a lovely location. The staff are very pleasant and attentive, service with a smile. The food is very good quality and arrived hot and well presented. I would not hesitate recommending this restaurant to anybody. Please visit and enjoy the food and hospitality that the Kinmel Arms has to offer.
Pleasant venue for a satisfactory meal
Lovely meal, haven't been for many years - would definitely come again. The afternoon tea looked fabulous and my lamb rump was delicious. Coq au vin was a bit disappointing - not what you would expect.
We felt only 2 scallops for the starter at a price of I think 11 pounds 50 was excessive. Have never been served fewer than 3 before
The service was excellent. We did sit in the bar because we had the dog with us and so probably missed out on the nicer atmosphere but it is still lovely to be able to come out for an evening meal with the dog.
Great food and service just a shame it was so quiet. Will try an evening next time but will definitely return.
