About The Kings Head Little Marlow
We are a Grade II listed Traditional British Pub located in the quintessential English village of Little Marlow. With its charming period features this is a gem of a country pub.
Our Garden Room is a stylish 50 cover eatery that opens up onto our patio for alfresco dining. With fireplaces for the Winter months this pub is a favourite all year round.
We pride ourselves on the fresh honest food we serve. With a variety of homemade pub favourites served all day.
Good food, fine selection of ales, excellent service
Excellent food but very poor service!
It's lovely to find a pub that does home cooked food rather than microwaved and bought in food. We had very tasty fish and chips which was piping hot accompanied by homemade tartare sauce and homemade flavoursome mushy peas. The lamb was cooked beautifully, very tender and seasoned perfectly. Staff are always friendly. Garden and patio great on a summers evening. Highly recommend.
Good food and service.
Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening deserves to be better supported
First visit - would definitely come again
Not stunning chips were awful not very warm . Expensive for what it was
Lovely venue, especially the beautiful garden on a sunny evening. Food was of a very high quality, very well cooked and presented; we tweaked the dishes slightly to meet tastes and all requests were met without any fuss. Great service.
Always a great venue, with lovely helpful staff. (and the food is fab too !!) Thank you :-)
Fantastic Sunday lunch with the family - service was outstanding and food lovely. Will visit again for sure!
Had a great visit food great with good helpful staff
It was disappointing. Unhelpful response to our guests who arrived first and had not been before, food took over an hour to arrive, drinks very slow to arrive and we had to ask twice for sparkling not still water. Sausages were a bit gristly and only just cooked, very dull desserts choices. We’ve been coming since the pub reopened because despite some chaos the food and staff have been great, and we want to support a local business. But things are not improving and we may have made our last visit. 🙁
We went with a party of 12 and loved the Kings Head. Lovely garden for pre-dinner drinks, a great room off the garden for lunch and the service & food were excellent. Next time we are in Marlow we will definitely go there again
Victoria and Mathew took all the stress out of having a party, they had lovely ideas and were equally open to us adding our own ideas and finishing touches. The evening was managed beautifully, the food was varied and very enjoyable! We will definitely use the venue again and wholeheartedly recommend them to friends!! The setting is stunning after the refurbishment which added to the success of the evening.
Excellent lunch, friendly service and well priced.
Very enjoyable and likely to visit again in the future.
We had 2 guests visiting from abroad so hoped for something good. Good to have vegan options on the menu. Disappointing that several core meal options for others in the party were not available ie roast beef, cheese and also some wine options were not available. Service was very slow but not a major problem for us. Noisy large party close by also spoiled the evening somewhat. A bit disappointing overall.
Excellent local pub with great ales and good food
We would like to send feedback for our booking on 31st May, but cannot find the request eMail from you. Party of 30 on 31.5.19 at 1230, Kings Head in the name of Phillips. Can you resend please.
We love The Kings Head :-) The food is great and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are really warm, friendly and always flexible to any requests we may have. Thoroughly recommended :-)
Great new adventure to a pub I used frequently a few years ago, as I moved out the area However what a pleasant surprise to seeing it so refreshing
Food was absolutely delicious, a great lunch enjoyed with friends.
The waitress designated to serve us (Leanne?) was kind, helpful, discreet but ready with anything we wanted. The venue looked lovely and was set up very well. The management had listened to what we said beforehand and it was all catered for on the day. Everyone who attended was very complimentary and had a very good time, as did we.
We visited on Sunday over the bank holiday weekend and I was blown away with how friendly and accommodating the staff were. We came with our two boys (seven months and two years old) and while they were beautifully behaved, they are perhaps a little louder than the usual clientele. The landlady / manager saw us feeling a little uncomfortable and keen to get their enthusiastic talking and singing a few decibels lower and came over to assure us that they loved having children in the pub and we should never apologise. She went out of her way to engage with my boys, bought them colouring etc, and when we were ready to leave (by which point we’d had dinner and my baby was then a little restless) our bill was quickly delivered and asked to come back soon. We most certainly will!
