About The Kingham Plough
Located in the Oxfordshire village of Kingham, near Chipping Norton, the Kingham Plough has achieved a happy balance between a ‘proper’ pub and an exceptional dining room. The Kingham Plough regularly features in the top 100 restaurants in the National Restaurant Awards and the Top 50 Gastropubs and have won the 2019 National Dining Pub of the Year in the Good Pub Guide. The Kingham Plough continues to be recommended in the Michelin and AA guides amongst many others.
In addition to the dining pub, they have six comfortable bedrooms upstairs to really make the most of your Cotswolds experience.
The Kingham Plough is both child-friendly and dog-friendly, maintaining a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that is comfortable, welcoming and inclusive. It is everything that an exceptional Cotswolds dining pub with rooms should be.
Exceeded expectations. Recommending to all our friends
Great location with excellent service, well presented first class ingredients. Attentive service from a young, friendly front of house team.
Perfect in every way. Absolutely delicious. I think the new owners have made The Plough even better. Going to have my wedding lunch there.
Superb food, great service. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend
A sympathetically designed environment with a variety of dining rooms and areas for many different moods and occasions--the service is attentive and, most importantly, the food excellent.
Really, very nice and although we had been a couple of years ago and didn't rush back, we will definately be seeing you agaim soon, with some other foodie friends that enjoy good food, a nice atmosphere and not too expensive wines! Nearly excellent!!! RT
dinner was lovely, great location in a peaceful and perfect setting
Absolutely delicious fish pie. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy such good quality food in the very comfortable bar area (more restaurant than bar) and for our two dogs to be welcome also.
Great welcome by the manager
Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Friendly staff and very well presented food.
It was lovely and our Sunday roasts were cooked to perfection and the desserts were amazing... can’t fault it. Will be back when we’re next in the area.
Imaginative interpretation of classics
Brilliant gastro pub - food was fantastic and there was a great ambience.
Completely brilliant - great food, great service and great pub
We enjoyed our stay and will come again some day.
Lovely venue. We went for a v brief but delicious Sunday lunch. It was very quiet when we arrived, but inevitably large families with young children turned up, which made it rather noisy. It was good to see them, though.
Disappointed in the downward trend. It’s 3 annual summer visits now & each is worse than before. There won’t be a 4th.
A very pleasant family lunch for a 70th birthday. Excellent food and wonderful service.
Fantastic service and the food was out of this world . Will definitely be booking again also with family and friends
Excellent food and service throughout - thoroughly recommended!
Having confirmed reservation for friends 70th celebration on the 23rd July 2019 we arrived on time to find the restaurant was CLOSED for painting. Having travelled to the Cotswold for this special event this is nothing short of disgusting.
Fabulous food ambience and service
The best roast I have ever had out! Exceptional service, nothing was too much trouble. The waitress even provided a blanket for my dog to sit on. Faultless!
We had a very nice time at this restaurant. Thanks for the staff, good service, nice atmosphere.
