We are a family friendly pub, we love to see the kids turn up with Mum & Dad & there are even a few colouring books to keep them occupied. Indeed, the whole family is welcome, well behaved dogs too! We just ask that the kids leave by 7pm, ‘coz we feel that The Kennington turns into a more adult space after that, and us adults can't always be trusted to be on our best behaviour!
We look forward to welcoming you to The Kennington very soon!
Absolutely brilliant, as always. Food delicious, staff attentive, couldn't have asked for more.
This is the 3rd time we've eaten at The Kennington. My husband & I really enjoy the food. The service is great and so are the team. We will definitely be back.
Staff were great at accommodating our requests - thank you for having us at such short notice!
One of our favourite London pubs!
The Kennington always supplies the best food, atmosphere and service - always recommend!
I booked a table for four having never been here before and we all had a great meal. It was just before Christmas so it was busy and loud, plus there was a bit of a wait for our meals. We put this down to it being busy - the food was great! The staff were friendly, someone came to check our meals were ok and whether we needed anything. There's space, there's a 'quieter' area, it's dog friendly, the toilets are clean ... what more do you want? Would definitely eat here again and if I lived locally would definitely drink here too.
Great Sunday Roast. Always a winner and all the staff are awesome!
Nice pub, with good decor and traditional feel. Have never been before so wanted to try out Sunday roast as it’s around corner from me as recently moved to area. Starter was nice - had bruschetta. Came with balsamic vinegar and nice salad on it... plenty for two people if you wanted to share! Then ordered roast dinners - very very bland (had beef and then friend had lamb). Nothing exciting about it, with potatoes and carrots. No cauliflower cheese or trimmings, only had one parsnip too. Lack of gravy, and wanted more but no one came over. Pub wasn’t even that busy, and not once did anyone come to ask if our food was ok - very bad service. Better going to windmill in Clapham if you want a full Sunday roast with proper vegetables.... same price too!!!! Felt the roast was a rip off there as was more like a Wetherspoon roast but at £18 pounds Would return for a drink but not for food again.
The best Sunday lunch we've had in a long time and with wonderful options for those looking for a non traditional Sunday lunch. Everyone was delighted. The food is fresh, delicious and exciting dishes to choose from even on Sundays. 5 stars all round for the food. However, we were a little disappointed by the wine list, not only, not much choice but overpriced. Atmosphere and service were lovely
Excellent food. Excellent service. Nice and warm inside!
Seriously delicious food, great selection of drinks, and amazing friendly service... All in a really cool and beautifully decorated pub!
Had a great time - thanks
Great Lunch and service
Annual team meal post-hockey match, always fantastic!
Food amazing. Service really good. Place I miss the sofas but still love it
You are my local pub. I’ve already been there several times even on New Year‘eve. Best place and best Sunday roast of ever
Went there for a Sunday roast followed by the quiz for a birthday party. Had a great day eating and drinking, the staff were super friendly and food was good! Quiz was very busy, 18 teams, on a Sunday! Which is very impressive turnout, but a bit too busy for my taste. Also wasn't a fan of the layout of it, but that's just personal opinion.
Lovely staff and lovely spot for a Sunday lunch.....really nice way to spend an afternoon catching up with friends
food was average still a nice place and reasonably priced
Sunday roast was just great and fair priced!
It was an extremely busy lunchtime as like us there were lots of people like us who had come from the cricket . The service was extremely professional and just as important very friendly . A really nice lunch .
Great food. Relatively slow service at start and end of meal waiting for bill.
No veggies for a £18 roast dinner? Just potato, burn Yorkshire and meat. Also service was really slow. Bitterly disappointed.
The best local Sunday lunch. Veggie option great.
Always good service, good food and good drink at the Kennington. It's a wonderful local. I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone.
