About The Junction Eatery
Escape the city and let time pass you by at The Junction. Providing the best panoramic view of Auckland Harbour, extraordinary interior design, and a menu full of spectacular dishes this sunny spot ticks every box. From waffles and wagyu to eggs benedict with a burned butter hollandaise (all made with local organic ingredients), it’s impossible to go wrong.
The lime shrimp salad was very enjoyable and a large serving, with plenty of shrimp and walnuts, but the lime wasn't obvious at all, unfortunately....could have had a bit more 'zing'. Service was friendly and overall a very pleasant experience.
Everything was all good. The only thing that prevented this from being a perfect visit was when we ordered our Big Breakfasts, we had all ordered fried, and one poached (3 fried, 1 poached), but they all came out poached. Not a big deal since we also like poached eggs anyway. everything still tasted great, but it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise great service.
Online booking process was super easy, service was very fast and efficient- will be back.
Very enjoyable lunch today (13.11.19)
Coffees were a long time coming at the end of the meal.
Had to ask several times for a drink for my daughter. Was not given cutlery with the main course and staff not available. Frustrating. Food was delicious and beautifully presented.
There was no atmosphere for a Friday night. It was super quiet and awkward, as no one was speaking. The service took way too long to come out. The food was average. When we were waiting to eat our dessert the waitress was busy eating her dinner next to us so we couldn't be served.
Went here when it first opened and has stepped it up since then, definately worth a visit
We both chose the chicken roulade and it was to die for with vibrant flavours & awesome presentation! It took a little long to arrive BUT this was explained to us & we received complimentary tapas dish to share of pita n dips - such flavours!!! This was a first for us and really showed how much they cared - something very special in this day! The creme brulee= the best we have ever tasted!! Beautiful setting, awesome view - memorable food at a realistic price so as to say, see you again in the not too distant future ! Highly recommend it!
My partner and I, overall had a great experience! It's our first time here, we purchased a grabone deal and appreciated the taste of the food, it is almost like a fine dining serving!! Our booking was at 7.30, we arrived way too early but they were considerate enough to seat us earlier..The view from outside was really nice too.
The meals were amazing. Gorgeous restaurant design and view. The staff were so friendly and we didn’t have to wait for anything. Thank you
The meal was superb, the table service friendly and helpful. I was somewhat disappointed when I arrived downstairs that there was no one I could see who would give me direction to the dining area/restaurant space, which is upstairs.Big plus that this restaurant prepares and serves all the meals at the table together.
on leaving we decided our first visit would be our last. terrible service.
We arrived and you had cancelled our table, we did not cancel our booking. We had a voucher to use and were told we could not use it for Mothers day, pretty disapoiting and it should have been accepted considering you couldnt even seat us at a proper table, with service like that, we wont be recomending you to family and friends.
Glass of bubbly was poured to about half full. When I asked her to top it up she said that's just how she does it sorry. Wasnt feeling like value for money at that point. But voucher on Grabone did make up for it. We also asked for some advice on what to choose off entre menu and she wasnt very helpful. Service was slow and often felt like there was no one serving at all as she was downstairs alot. Paying fo rthe meal took an usually long amount of time. We stood for minutes n end waiting in silence. Overall a happy night. And our local so we will come back- but we would love to see a little more love for the customer. And top up the bubbly glasses! Thanks :)
I had booked & confirmed a table for brunch which upon arrival had been taken by someone else. We waited for another table to be cleared which was fine but after ordering we waited over an hour for our food. We didn't bother ordering coffee & dessert.
Great service! The waitress was lovely!
Excellent meal, the lamb shanks were especially good, and so was the scotch fillet. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend
Had such a lovely time, our Bookchat members enjoyed the time & service as well. Thank you :(
Could the menu be printed in larger lettering.
Food is excellent, very tasty and well presented.. Lovely staff.
Food was fantastic, absolutely loved each dish that came to our table
Very unimpressed that my smashed avocado wasn't a real avocado but an avacado type dip, very small amount of salmon served with it and a banana smoothie with hardly any banana in it that just tasted like milk. Overpriced and average. Only good thing was the nice view.
Easy atmosphere, stunning views. Cocktails are great. Menu is simple but caters for every one. We had a few Tapas as entrees then the steaks from main. Steaks were incredible quality and cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced for the quality Of food. Everything was beautifully presented. We were very well looked after and will definitely be back. In fact going to grab coffees this morning!
The perfect venue.... colleagues who had come from other areas of Auckland and others who had not been to your Eatery were impressed with views & outdoor area we had reserved. It was a fantastic evening, with the guest of honour's partner, also having booked her farewell function at The Junction for her work crowd.. before they both move across the ditch in 2 weeks time. Thanks, Chris and team... such a wonderful and memorable night. Gwyn from Proactive Rehab, Birkenhead.
