We had a large party for a special birthday celebration and knew there was no better place to host than the Ivory. The food was delicious and the service was top class as always, the staff could not do enough for us. It was lovely to relax in the knowledge that we were in the safe and capable hands of the Ivory. Can't recommend enough. Thank you to everyone again.
Food was delicious! There were 6 of us and everyone really enjoyed it! Good buzz about it even for a Wednesday evening.
Top class food at a reasonable price and excellent staff
Enjoyable lunch and would return
We had a lovely meal in the Ivory. Food was great staff very attentive and very good value for money. Will definitely be back
Food & Service where fantastic, very beautiful views.
The restaurant was only half full on a Monday Lunchtime just before Christmas. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our Christmas Lunch. The service was really slow, after 2 1/2 hours the main course hadn't been cleared away and many of our party had to leave to get back to the office. When we asked if we could get our deserts to go the staff weren't impressed or willing to help.
Love going out to the Ivory for something to eat
Superb food, always reliable to get a tasty meal . Great staff who are very friendly and take trouble to assist you and vary their menu to suit your tastes . Lovely setting and atmosphere . Highly recommended for all ages . The youngest in our group was 3 months old and the eldest 94 years old and everyone really enjoyed it . Many thanks to Maggie , Adam and their entire team . Keep up the good work
Lovely meal, well presented. With good service
Nice menu, pleasant staff and excellent espresso martini! Nice bright venue for lunch.
Got the Christmas menu. The salt and chilli prawns were extremely salty is was almost unbearable to eat. The steak didn’t have much flavour and was smothered in sauce. The panna cotta texture wasn’t great and it tasted very sour
Food was fabulous. Great staff, just one down fall is the slow service.
Delicious meal. Fab service.
We all enjoyed our Christmas dinner. The food and atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely come back again in future.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service - booked over 20 staff in for Christmas Party and everyone commented on how positive their experience was - staff make you feel like you are being personally attended to, even in a large group. Food was of a very high standard, and the other amenities the restaurant offers, such as the outside terrace and proximity to shops and local bars, really made it stand out for us. Will definitely book again.
Great restaurant, great food.
We went to the Ivory for our work lunch, it was FABULOUS!! I'm not sure I was expecting it to be so good as I'm normally hard to please! There were 8 in our party and there were clean plates all around, we had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon!
I went with family got Christmas lunch as I have always had a nice meal until Saturday, my starter chilli prawns was fine, I had the turkey dinner, the vegetables were frozen the stuffing was out of a packet. Got this type of restaurant it was a let down as I had been somewhere else previous week and it wasn’t a hotel or restaurant it was a golf club with nicer food. Also we waited quite a while for someone to take our order, we weren’t asked did we want our coffee before or after desert they came before, also when coffee is included in the menu staff need to tell the customer that coffee like cappuccino is extra so we weren’t aware of that.
On arrival we were informed that the entertainment had been cancelled for the evening, this had been confirmed by phone call & email weeks prior. We specifically booked the later table to have our meal & that we could remain at our table for the evening, There was absolutely no atmosphere, the food was not to our expectations & all round was very disappointing considering the effort your clients go to for a Christmas event. We had our complaint handled very well and professionally by the manager. I wouldn't recommend the Ivory to anyone for a Christmas event & overall was a very disappointing experience.
Really disappointing menu I take my grand parents every year and the menu was so bad we had to get up and leave as nothing was suitable for us - you wouldn’t let us order a single Christmas dinner as we have to have a starter and a main? Very very bad. We wound up in Frankie and bennies which honestly was so much nicer.
Enjoyed everything about my visit on Sunday. Food gorgeous staff very pleasant and helpful. Going on 15 Dec for lunch with at Joseph's primary school. Have told everyone about food and restaurant. They all are looking forward to the lunch very much now. Can't wait to go again. Thanks
Great food, lovely service, beautiful location, but extremely expensive. Restaurant was almost empty so I expect I'm not the only one with that opinion. Would go more often if prices were a little more in line with other restaurants serving the same calibre of food (and I appreciate there's a premium for the location, but £100 for 2 people was eye-watering: 2 courses, shared dessert, coffee and 2 drinks each). The food and the ambience really is lovely, but it's hard to justify when I can get almost as lovely and just as tasty for much less elsewhere in the centre. Might try it for lunch though.
Great food excellent staff...would recommend
