Great place always good
The food on the menu all looked lovely so it was a hard choice. We had a starter and a main; both of which were delicious! The service was great and we will definitely be returning to try some of the other meals on the menu!
A lovely prepared meal with friendly staff thank you for a nice evening.
The food was fantastic.
Wonderful evening Great food and service Thank you
We would thoroughly recommend a visit. Where the food is excellent and the staff could not provide a better service. Looking forward to eating here again.
We come here frequently because food, drink, ambiance and service (they always remember about my soya intolerance) are first class. The chairs are also nice and comfortable.
I used to be a regular until 5 years ago when I moved to Dorset.. Returned for the first time and its was as good as ever. Remarkable. Will return. Well done Gerry and Anne.
We really enjoyed our meal on Saturday night. There was a slight mix up with our booking as we booked for 6.30pm and on arrival told it was 8.15pm but the staff were great and sorted this out straight away. The food was fantastic and would highly recommend a visit. Thank you. Sarah Barrow
Disappointed by the overall experience given the prices and our expectations as we had gone for a special occasion. Were initially given a table literally so close to the next couple that it was like sharing a table but were then offered another table not quite as close but nearer than expected. Soup starter was ok but not exceptional for the price and halloumi starter was very disappointing consisting of about 90% quinoa and very little else. Main course fish and chips very good, beetroot risotto ok but a bit lumpy and tasted like rice pudding. Room was a bit plain and corporate and on the cool side. At no stage during the whole evening did any of the staff ask us how the meal was, not even when we left. Staff were efficient but looked stressed and we didn't see a smile all night! All in all, given the prices and the expectations, we were very disappointed and will not be returning any time soon.
We lunched on the shady, rear patio and can thoroughly recommend the asparagus and rice risotto and the smoked mackerel fishcakes, all served with a smile. . We'll be back.
I must confess to being a tad biassed in favour of The Inn. After visiting regularly for several years, there has never been a bad experience and most visits have been a real pleasure. It's very rare for anything to go wrong, but on those very rare occasions things are put right with good humour and the minimum of fuss. A treasure.
I ordered a medium steak, but received a medium rare steak that was rather greasy. My wife and daughter ordered different main coursooes that were well presented and that they enjoyed.
Had lunch one Thursday at 12noon. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere as only three tables occupied. Varied menu, not the usual pub-grub with food nicely presented and well cooked. Will return on a regular basis
Excellent food and service as usual!
We are usually in a hurry (on our way to the cinema), and service is also charmingly obliging. I particularly like being able to have 2 starters rather than a main course which, despite the tasty recipes, I find a bit heavy these days - especially at 6pm in the evening.
We tried the restaurant the first time upon recommendation of a friend. We shall definitely come again.
We had a fantastic lunch I would give the food six stars if I could
Excellent as usual!
A big thank you to our server for helping to make my wife's birthday lunch that extra bit special by decorating the table and the birthday candle.
Just love the place and the food is wonderful. AGT George
Excellent as usual.
Have eaten here twice. First time was mindblowingly good on all fronts, lots of little special touches. Second time was mothering Sunday, a slightly reduced menu to begin with and then they ran out of several starters mains and desserts which was disappointing. However the food we did have was first class and the service was good. Would def go back but may avoid holidays as the running out of so many options was a bit of a downer on what was supposed to be a special mothers day treat. Cannot fault the chef, food is excellent.
You wouldn’t let us dine with you because of the age of our child. You continue to send me things about attending when we are not allowed in and now you want a review about our stay. Let us in and we would. Utterly ridiculous.
