About The Inn at Huxley
The Inn at Huxley is a family-owned restaurant and bar in the Cheshire village of Huxley. Serving a small and seasonal menu, our food is cooked to order and showcases quality produce sourced from local and regional suppliers or from our own vegetable patch.
Slightly more expensive than other local places for Sunday lunch.
We had an excellent afternoon here. The steaks are perfect and the wine list is extensive. Loved the terrace despite the weather being rubbish .... will return on a sunny day.
Limited main menu - would like more choice. The Grill menu is too expensive. Ordered 2 pies - Chicken, Ham, Leek, one was loaded with large ham chunks (salty) and very little chicken the other had more chicken than ham, portion control could be improved.
Another cracking meal from Danny’s team.
There’s lovely attention to detail here, from the training of the staff to the lovely build and design. A real boon to the area. We’ll definitely come back.
Second lunch at The Inn! Service excellent on this occasion! All previous minor issues clearly addressed. The restaurant was warm, ambient and comfortable and all the staff were helpful and pleasant. Once again, fresh food, nicely presented and delicious. My husband and I are delighted to have this new addition to our small list of favourite dining venues in this area!
Great service, really relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the food was incredible!
The Inn at Huxley has been rebuilt to exacting standards, with no expense spared on the fixtures and fittings. It was an interesting and diverse lunch menu, possibly a little on the pricey side by local standards. My party, my two elderly Aunts and their carer were a bit cold in the restaurant probably because the door to the outside terrace remained open throughout our meal. Most importantly, the food was nicely presented, seemingly fresh, very good quality and none of my guests had a single complaint. The only complaint we had related to service. I had to go searching for our waitress for drinks orders and query why our meals took so long to arrive (40 minutes for one course ). Then again, we had to track down our waitress to make payment. In all fairness, she seemed to be working alone to manage both food and drink orders. The only other person, who we assumed to be a waiter or barman, was chatting at length to a young man (guest) in the lounge. Briefly met the new owner Danny. Clearly a pleasant and capable man, with very deep pockets!
Very nice meal, lovely building and great staff, thank you
Lovely restaurant, good food and service
One of the best Sunday dinners we've had in a while - well prepared and tasty food combined with beautiful surroundings and excellent service
Only minor issue was that the service, although excellent was a little too quick. The food was wonderful. We will be back.
Would definitely come back.
We went as a party of four to have Sunday lunch which we all thoroughly enjoyed and will all most certainly return.
A beautiful setting. Will definitely visit again.
Fifth visit. Easter Sunday Lunch. Dined outside on the beautiful Orangery Terrace. Belissimo!! Highly recommend.
Fantastic new gastro-pub. Great food and excellent service.
Can't fault a thing, spotless, hot plates excellent simple food (our choice mid day eating) attentive service by smartly dressed people. Have followed the building process from the tv programs, and very pleased with your attention to detail. How good you were not forced to make do with the old building. Can't comment on atmosphere as on both occasions not too many people dining but we (4) enjoyed the visit. Thank you.
Wonderful place. So nice to have something so stylish locally. Would absolutely recommend.
Best Sunday lunch I have eaten for a long time. The beef was beautifully tender and all the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Especially loved the cauliflower cheese. Lovely wine and very attentive service. Very impressed and booked a table for lunch on Easter Sunday.
First time here for Sunday lunch and was very impressed. Service warm and friendly. Good was delicious, seasonal and perfect portion sizes. My 3 year old loved her food too which is a great bonus! Newly renovated space is superb. The pricing is slightly expensive compared to similar experiences, especially for the small persons menu.
Beautiful place, lovely meal. Staff very friendly & helpful! We will be returning.
Fabulous place and wonderful food. Attentive and friendly staff.
I only gave the atmosphere 4 stars as it has only recently opened and they’ve planned a soft launch therefore there hasn’t been any advertising yet. As for the food...we both thought it was incredibly good and would certainly plan to come back again for lunch. By which point the garden furniture should be laid out and we can enjoy the view even more!
The place itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were very impressed with everything. The food and wine were both delicious. The last time we visited was when it was called Stuart’s Table. We had a lovely evening and will be returning in the near future. Many th ask
