About Horse & Jockey
Gastro Pub set in pretty country village of Congerstone close to Market Bosworth.
Great Food, Cask Ales, Live Music and Friendly Atmosphere are just some of whats on offer
Absolutely superb find! Service was impeccable and the food was excellent and at a great price. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Thankyou
On the whole a good Sunday dinner, but with a little extra attention to detail could be even better.
Good menu, lovely atmosphere, friendly service.
Setting a 2 hour limit to table is a bit off putting especially if you were to book a larger group for an event but overall the place us lovely. Great food , excellent service and average prices
Excellent food and location.
Another great night at the Horse and Jockey! Great food, service and finished with live music in the bar.
We really enjoyed the food, it was well presented and very tasty. The live music was fantastic.
We chose the Horse and Jockey for a Birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive and the service throughout the evening was excellent. We had scallop's and seafood salad as starters and the Chateaubriand as our main course. The food was delicious and easily deserves a 5 star rating. This is the second time we have been here. I highly recommend a visit in order to experience for yourself the delightful atmosphere, food ,and service.
Used this restaurant for years ,but the service on this visit was terrible ,not asked when we arrived if we had booking ,had to ask for menus,so slow service and restaurant wasn’t over busy ,drinks that we order at table arrived after meal finished ,no one ate Yorkshire pudding as just like a crisp s .2.5 hours after arriving had to ask twice for bill . Disappointed to say the least ,embarrassing as we took friends as a thank you .
Good food and service in a beautiful setting.
Had a fabulous meal. Food and service was excellent. Only niggle was food went cold very quickly but unfortunately sat quite near door and there was 7 of us so cold waiting for it all to come out. Can't fault anything else.
Yet again another great evening at the Horse & Jockey, great food served by your lovely staff who cant do enough for you. We particularly like the fact that you haven't tried to get lots of tables in your restaurant, it feels bespoke and makes for a nice personal atmosphere. I love to pop in and have a chilled pint, the bar is a very relaxing place to be. My favourite pub in the area by a long way, Just perfect !! David.
Fantastic service. Food was timely. Very very good value for money. 2nd time that the food has been faultless and we’ll certainly be returning against soon!
Great meal, friendly staff, see you soon.
Always a delicious meal and good service at this restaurant. Just one point which is a suggestion not a criticism is that the tables seating two are too close to each other. I was keen to leave and skipped coffee and dessert after my meal because all I could hear was the conversation on the table next to me which made conversation with my husband difficult.
and lovely venue that has a great atmosphere and food is fantastic. steaks are on the pricey side but are good quality. service and staff very attentive and professional.
Excellent food and service in a very comfortable atmosphere. Portions rather generous but this may well be welcomed by many clients. Altogether a very enjoyable lunch, thanks to all!
In general a very pleasant experience. It was much better than our previous visit when the food was not as good.
Thanks! Fab food and a lovely atmosphere.
As always we have a delicious meal with friendly and attentive service. Love the ambiance and the mulled wine was yummy
Excellent dining experience friendly professional staff.
We were seated near the door which meant that there was a cold draught every time someone came in, this was disappointing especially as there were tables free further into the restaurant. Food was good but expensive.
We have enjoyed many Sunday lunches at The Horse and Jockey but this was our first Christmas Day lunch experience eating out as a family. The service was excellent and the food was also very good. If I’m being picky, the stuffing was a little over cooked and dry and it would have been nice to have some petit fours or chocolate mints served with the tea and coffee BUT the main meal was delicious. I would definitely recommend and may well book for next year.
This is one of our favourite Gastro Pub Restaurants and they never let us down.
We had a fabulous meal and the service was outstanding well done
