Excellent service as always! Food was perfect and the service and atmosphere make it a very enjoyable experience
Lovely food and atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Lovely atmosphere.. charming staff and a super lunch.. good sized portions as well. I’m coming back !
Brilliant pub! Great food and gorgeous inside!
Excellent food - would highly recommend!
Excellent tasty Sunday lunch. Service friendly but bit haphazard. Roast chicken very tender and juicy same with roast beef. Generous portions. We shall return.
Fantastic service and incredible food! Thank you :-)
We had a superb experience. The Sunday roast was beautifully cooked, the interior design is sultry and cosy, and best of all, the waiting staff were an absolute delight. Will be back!
Perfect lazy boozy Sunday lunch on a rainy day. Lovely staff. Can’t wait to go again, thank you
Fabulous country Pub, shame it was quiet on the night we visited! Wasn’t keen on the Dunkerton Cider batter on the fish!!
Excellent country location for a relaxed meal...dog friendly which really helps after a bracing Cotswolds walk! So far the changes made by Lucky Onion have been measured and positive...hope it stays that way!
Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Dog friendly too and she was spoilt!! Food was excellent.
Had a good lunch, we thought the main courses were a bit expensive for what they were, the puddings were better value and delicious. Wine was also very expensive per glass I thought although good selection. Would have been good to have seen a few seasonal specials on the menu also.
Couldn’t really comment on atmosphere as we were one of the only tables. Also, I couldn’t book 8pm for the table but it was dead. But very enjoyable evening and food delicious as always. Staff attentive!
First visit for many years. Relaxed atmosphere, great food, beer and service. Ideal for our luchtime meet up (quiet Monday lunchtime).
Food was brilliant as usual (great veggie nut roast!) maître d' was very warm, friendly and attentive. Only slight negative was that the waiting staff were not informed about the menu/wine options and were not paying any attention to their diners during and following the meal (if anyone needed anything - like extra gravy or drinks etc - they had to frantically wave their arms around for a few minutes to catch the staff’s attention as they were typically giggling in the corner in a collective huddle paying no attention to their exasperated customers.) hopefully that was just a one-off but apart from that I really enjoyed the experience
Great food , fab service , lovely pub
The atmosphere in the dining room was delightful. Great decor and delicious food.
It was an excellent village, your Mangeress looked after the group well. Really good food and plenty of it, the group were more than satisfied. Will have more groups next winter from Australia, definitley will book again Mike Edwards Wanderers Australia
A very enjoyable Sunday lunch.
Lovely lunch, great menu to choose from and all meals tasted delicious. Good value for money and a nice level of service. Will be coming back.
you’re great shelter for weary traveller
Beautiful decor and a lovely team. We’ve eaten several times before. My only plea is more toast with the pate please and a vegetarian main, not just a vegan burger!
