We tried the tasting menu and it was fantastic! There is usually at least 1 dish that you are probably not keen on, but every dish was superb, tasty and beautifully cooked. The portions were a perfect size and the waitress took the time to explain the composition of each dish. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. We also like that they allow well behaved dogs in the restaurant!!! Excellent 😊
Great meal, and service once again. The only place fo Sunday lunch.
We had Sunday Lunch for a birthday celebration, the food and drink were fantastic. The 3 course fixed price menu was fantastic value but unfortunately didn't have cheese & biscuits as an option on the dessert menu and as 2 of our group don't eat sweets, they had to miss out while the remainder of our table enjoyed the fantastic desserts. We will certainly come back though as we really enjoyed the meal. Cant wait until next time. Thanks.
Thank you for the most amazing meal. We were thoroughly impressed with each and every dish we had on the tasting menu. It started so well with the canapés and I was excited to find out what we would be eating for each course. The wine flight was an absolute must too, totally fantastic wine so well matched to each course and the sommelier was superb. The atmosphere and welcoming staff made this a most enjoyable experience. I can highly recommend and will most defiantly be dining there in the future.
Great establishment, food excellent and good value. Staff were great, friendly and efficient service. Rooms lovely and clean!
Comments 1 - the food was well presented, the only problem I have is that I think the menu is a bit rigid. I chose rib steak of which is served with chips, cherry tomatoes. I asked if I could have side salad instead of cherry tomatoes as I don’t like them. I was told that they had to stick to the menu. 2 - breakfast - lovely but the waitress accidentally knocked a cup of tea over my daughter soaking her clothes. I understand that accidents happen and she was very apologetic, but no compensation for this was offered.
Great food and service
There was nothing show it was Valentines. No flowers or table decorations. The music was not romantic and no thought had gone into it. The diners had made a effort and were all nicely dressed but the Haughmond had not reciprocated. Apart from taking orders and serving the staff were invisible and I had to go to the bar for a drink mid meal. The main courses very good but the starters and desserts were tiny and a taste disaster. Sorry but you didn’t create a special occasion and I didn’t see any diners linger, they just paid their bills and left.
First visit on recommendation from golf friend welcome very good food superb will be going again also family will be going in summer great outdoors space
Had superb lunch here on Valentines Day. Although it was full the service was brilliant and we weren't kept waiting for our table. We managed three courses, perfectly balanced and had our coffees in the sunny conservatory. Couldn't have wished for better.
Delicious food Friendly and efficient service Nice to be able to take our dog to a 'proper' restaurant
just right relaxed and friendly
Great to enjoy high quality imaginatively cooked food - tasty combinations of flavours. Thank you - we’ll be back for more.
All staff were fantastic but i would like to give a special mention to the sommelier on the night. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and really made us feel comfortable.
Another nice meal.
Food good but quite expensive for what you get on plate and served with no vegetables in sight. Waiting on staff helpful and polite. However, management's attitude unprofessional and inflexible - don't ask to take own birthday cake - not allowed house rules! They eventually reluctantly allowed us to have our little celebration but levied a £2.50 per head surcharge if we did not order one of their sweets! We were seated away from main restaurant so were in no way disturbing others. Sorry to say, overall not a good experience.
As always The Haughmond doesn't disappoint. The most amazing food and incredible service. You would go a long way to find a menu of this quality and value. Thank you all and keep up the good work. See you again very soon.
No one got hurt
Excellent all round! A real gem!
We had an amazing meal, just seemed a little rushed. I remember the last time we had the taster menu it was very spread out and we had lots of time to enjoy the experience. This time it was much quicker. I’m sure our waiter was training as he’s seemed very nervous and a little unsure.
The perfect Sunday lunch experience.
My partner and I had a lovely meal at the Haughmond on Saturday evening. We opted for the tasting menu with wine flight. All the courses were very nice. I particularly enjoyed the butternut tortellini and the beef fillet. The wine pairings were delightful and service attentive without being intrusive. Nice work guys!
We celebrated my youngest daughter’s 21st birthday at the restaurant. We all loved the evening, young and slightly older members of the family!! The food was exquisite, the service friendly and efficient and the ambiance, just right.
Food was delicious , well presented and very tasty!
