About The Harbour Inn
This cosy old inn is steeped in the character of Blackshore fishermen of yonder year and the memorabilia they’ve left behind. It has two cosy wood-panelled bars, which are unusually on two floors, and a dining room.
You wouldn’t expect anything less than the freshest seafood being served when you have a harbour side kitchen.
Here at The Harbour we take great pride in sourcing and serving the very best of the catch of the day, with much of the fish we serve being caught by local fishermen from the Lowestoft fishing boats wherever possible. Of course, there is something for everyone with a variety of non-fishy homemade dishes from the ovens and stoves.
Fantastic friendly service, clear explanation of all measures to ensure extremely Covid secure, delicious food and obviously gorgeous Addams wine and ales! :)
Delicious food, attentive friendly staff, extra cosy and warm with the new log burners, looking forward to our next visit. Recommended 😊
A lovely lunch
Lovely meal. Fantastic waitress who really looked after us I felt very safe too !
Excellent food, service and value for money. Have been here a few times and it has never disappointed. Felt very safe in the current climate also.
So excited to be back in the Harbour Inn. The staff worked so hard to give us an enjoyable evening. Loved the blue cheese , Adnam’s honey croutons salad , so tasty. When scampi and chips are cooked perfectly you can’t beat it for a pub meal. Well done guys👍
A very enjoyable lunch and both food and service were great. I have not given 5 out of 5 for atmosphere, only because arrangements during Covid take something away from the atmosphere - but that can't be helped; and the location by the river itself creates atmosphere - its a super spot..
Really delicious food. And great value for money. Really lovely bar men so friendly
Lovely homemade puds.. staff were knowledgable around wine selection and friendly positive staff, only minor issue was that we only had cash which was queried but there was no signage on admission that cash may not be accepted .. this was resolved easily .. definitely would recommend .. lovely food
We have eaten many times at The Harbour Inn and have always had excellent food.
Lovely place for lunch, staff good food huge
Amazing value and delicious meal but lacked atmosphere.
Food took a little while to arrive but well worth the wait
Lovely meal. Great friendly service... Trying their very best to maintain safety.
We had a lovely evening here. The food and service was fantastic.
Great pub. Consistently good food and drinks.
Courteous, attentive service and delicious food in very pleasant surroundings. A fire as warm as the welcome on a wintery day. The whitebait was cooked to perfection, and the introduction to smoked haddock fish and chips a real delight. Sublime desserts in generous portions. All provided in a carefully managed Covid-secure environment
A darned good dinner served with a smile.
All really nice and welcoming in such difficult times. Staff were great!!
One of our favourite pubs with great food and Adnams beer. Thanks for making us feel safe.
We had a lovely meal as always, great service, we felt really safe and well looked after, hope to be back soon!
Our hostess, Skye, was delightful enthusiastic an knowledgeable, under the challenging conditions of Covid. The food and drink were excellent. Lovely - we'll be back again.
Lovely evening in the Top Bar where we were all made to feel very welcome, safe and secure. Thank you
The food was delicious when we visited on Saturday. Unfortunately, the dining area we were in was cold and I don’t think the tables were far enough apart. However, the service was dire. Took ages for our order to be taken. When the food arrived we were asked if we wanted condiments, which we did, and they never returned with them. We were going to order pudding but it took so long for anyone to never return to us that we didn’t and paid at the door as no-one brought us our bill. Disappointing as for the food we would have returned.
