Staff were very friendly! Love the atmosphere 🤗
Excellent afternoon tea. Good value, lovely surroundings, lovely attentive staff.
We were looking forward to dinner as we had never eaten there before and had travelled from Livingston . We ordered the fillet steak medium rare . It was not cheap and came medium cooked and was not pink at all . We did say to the waitresses and they were quick to offer us a new steak but we were going into the wedding reception that was being held there so time was limited . They did offer us a free dessert or liqueur which we did enjoy. The decor is supposed to be opulent and modern but the chairs in the dining room were all worn and the black carpets were rather tatty . For a relatively new hotel it’s unfortunately needing an upgrade already. The staff however were very chattty and very helpful. Not sure if I would visit again for dinner .
the waitress was not at fault, but we waited 40 minutes for our first course and when the food arrived it was the main course,so we had to wait another 10 minutes to get our starter.we received from the waitress but we felt it should have come from the person in charge of the dining area. we were compensated for the delays and this we appreciated, and we will come back
We had dinner in the grill on Saturday night,we were greeted by staff telling us there was a 20 min delay on food as they had a wedding in. We were seated and got drinks but scanning the floor there was lots of food which was clearly visible on the black carpets, the chairs were comfy but were tired looking and shabby threading at the arms. The wedding band was very loud whilst trying to enjoy a meal on a rare night out with my husband,The wedding guests also started to overcrowd the dining area whichwasn't ideal. The food was very nice when it eventually came, I can highly recommend the Haddock Rarebit and Ham Terrine, we both enjoyed fillet steaks for main, which were delicious. We shared sticky toffee for pudding, which again was lovely.
ALl the staff were very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back.
The experience on the day of my afternoon tea was fantastic! The staff could not have been more accommodating. I arrived with my little boy with his big pram and my friend also had to bring her little girl (another child, another pram) and without hesitation the girls got us sorted. They were so good with us and we’re so patient with the children. They did not rush use to get out and allowed us time to feed the children in order to enjoy ourselves. I have been twin Collesio a few times now and it continues not to disappoint.
Steaks were over cooked certainly not worth the cost of our meal.
We waited 40m for our drinks so had ate half our afternoon tea by then and had to stop eating as badly needed a drink. We provided a voucher on arrival for 3 out of 6 of us for prosecco afternoon tea. We had to ask for the prosecco - then when bill came we were charged for 6 afternoon teas instead of 3 and 3 proseccos so £54 more than we should. Not great service really.
Food was bland lacking in flavour small helpings
Absolutely fantastic, we had a great night! Thank you!
A beautiful afternoon tea with quality food. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely return.
Poor service - waiting staff seemed very inexperienced and we had to wait for long periods for the waitress to bring back the wine menu . Not what I expected when I’m already paying more money for distinctly average food. Clientele also did not match the grand decor - most people very underdressed for such a nice location. Plus points ; lovely location and superb decor .chairs very comfy. Poor points ; Undertrained staff and it seems like just anybody is allowed to dine there - even if they look more suitable dressed for McDonald . Food extremely average for the price
Food stunning as usual and staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble .
lovely food and very nice staff
Have visited several times never disappointed Prepared alternative starter as l wanted something not on menu no fuss
Great food and service.
One of our favourite hotels! Excellent afternoon tea! The mini sponge cakes were one of the nicest cakes I've tasted!
Great service and great food
The service from the initial enquiry through to the end of the meal was excellent. All the staff were friendly and very professional. We had to make a last minute change to a large group booking and they went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure our celebration was a success. The food took a while to arrive but the selection in the afternoon tea was of a high standard and there was way more than enough! Many thanks to all the staff involved.
This was our first visit to the Grill Room for lunch and enjoyed it so much that my wife and I have booked again for lunch. The food was excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Was thoroughly disappointed with our visit, staff couldn’t find our booking, and had no knowledge of our dietary request. Glass on the table had lipstick on it, and staff seemed a bit confused and unsure as to how to serve afternoon tea. Sandwiches which had been requested as plain (ie no mustard/chutney etc) came as literally 2 pieces of bread with a slice of ham, no butter, and all were the same even though only one of us wanted plain. Weren’t offered tea/coffee originally, or given detail of what we could have. Expected more, won’t be back in a hurry
Some food over cooked. Flowers wilting. Card machine not working. But actually the service provided made up for these minor faults. The girls were really lovely and helpful. Will definitely be back
Food was excellent however service was a bit slow. We were left for ages after our main before the girl come took our order for desert.
