About The Griffin Inn
The Griffin Inn is a genuine country pub, serving great food and ales and of course we're located in the most beautiful part of Leicestershire with loads of great scenery and walks right on our doorstep.
Great Sunday lunch. Great service!
Absolutely beautiful and the food is amazing
Back room lacking Indy any atmosphere, would ask to sit in other area. Food reasonable but very plain and a little over priced for what it is. Service friendly an good.
Great food and service. Glad we booked as it was really busy - always a good sign. Have eaten in the garden and bar areas before but never the restaurant. Highly recommend for a great Sunday lunch
the service was absolutely appaling on Sunday. It ruined my mothers day lunch with my children. we had to ask for our starters to be cleared away. we had to wait 20 mins for my children's vegetables to come and had to ask for them. By the time they arrived the children had finished the chicken roast. we never had one check back to our table. considering you was recommended as the best place to have a dinner we were very disappointed.
Maybe it was the wrong time to go but at l for a 7.30 booking for five of us on a Sunday evening we were put in room on our own and pretty much forgotten. Had to call for service and the vegetarian but roast was served roast potatoes and parsnips all looking and tasting very burnt and brown. Covered in brown gravy. Very disappointed as were trying to show off your lovely old pub to our friends from Hinckley. 😞
On a very busy Sunday, our first visit. Food was good but the vegetables offered with Sunday roast could be more interesting, we felt. Puddings were excellent. More staff definitely needed although staff who served us were efficient and pleasant. Lovely surroundings and quirky pub!
Food is absolutely delicious, the staff are very friendly, very welcoming and very attended.
Lovely food at a lovely place
A lovely lunchtime with open fires & a cosy atmosphere. The two barmen/waiters couldn’t have been anymore helpful or friendly
Lovely food, excellent service. Unfortunately choice was low on the menu as we visited later in the day (19.30). This was disappointing as the booking was taken and we’d have hope for the same options as guests served earlier. Also we found the lighting very bright in the dining room which didn’t really help the ambience. I ordered a trio of sausages and got 3 of the same without explanation. What we did have was excellent quality and the staff fantastic, it’s just a shame it wasn’t perfect
First visit and very impressed.
Had a lovely night great service, apart from forgetting my blue cheese on my burger and ran out of crem brule. But a great place will come again 👍
This was our first visit to the Griffin. We will be back
Really pleasant. Staff great and food great. Was recommended to me and I would certainly recommend .
All ways have had good meals and good service form all staff.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch with my nan it was her 1st visit and she loved it. Lovely location staff so welcoming and food was delicious especially the lemon tart.
Main courses were fine. Children's and desserts were not as good as other places.
Delicious Sunday lunch well cooked and presented.
Great food, great service.
Excellent, friendly service
More choice on the evening menu but I guess that’s the norm ?
Thanks guys we had a great time Always enjoy coming here
