Both the Greyhound & The Fox are by far the best Thai restaurants we’ve ever visited!
A very enjoyable evening, good food, good atmosphere and good company
Thank you for a great night our friends from Thailand really enjoyed the food 😀
Great chicken satay starter
Lovely evening. Great food and good value. Fab service too. Very much enjoyed thanks everyone.
Always a great meal and superb service. Thanks
Anyone who enjoys freshly prepared Thai food should visit the Greyhound Inn
Great food good beer from brewery behind pub
Fantastic service by a young lady who was very smiley. Help from the manager with gluten free options (of which there were plenty)! Great meal
Had a lovely meal with old friends. Their first time at The Greyhound and they lived it
Friendly, with Fantastic firey fresh Thai food. Most excellent .
Another excellent meal. The Sunday buffet is extremely good value for money with a wide range of choices. The Thai beef salad, Tom Yum Soup and the green chicken curry off the a la carte are always top notch, well spiced and very flavorsome. Haven't had a bad meal there yet and been coming for years.
Great dinner last night, fabulous dining areas with very relaxed child friendly atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend it!
We were seated without plates for the buffet. We had to ask for them. We had to ask for a drinks menu. We then had to ask for our drinks when they had been sat on the side for 20 mins. The buffet hardly had any starters left in it. We had to ask twice for them to top it up and they only topped up one. The buffet choices only gave me one option as I don't eat very spicy food no pork or beef. This left me only the mixed veg option so was incredibly bad value for money. Previous menus I had seen you publish for the buffet had several options I could eat. We had to order other starters (which were very nice), to suppliment the meal. We both thought a la carte would have been a much better option. The buffet was dirty with food and the coconut soup (which I may have tried) had a long dark hair floating in the top. We were nearly shattered in glass when a water bottle was smashed right next to our table by staff (an accident, but you shouldn't have a serving hatch right next to a table...). Luckily for everyone we were standing by the buffet at the time or it could have been a very different end to our night as there was glass everywhere. Because there were no plates or extra napkins available my husband had to put chicken wings bits on his napkin and then had to ask for additional plates and a new napkin. More poor planning. We were very surprised to see the staff taking portions from the buffet for take away orders. Knowing it had been there for hours and could have been touched by other people, I hope that you tell your take away orderers that it comes from your buffet. At 10pm the staff started to dismantle the buffet table, leaving the two heaters draining extremely loudly into cool boxes at the side of the tables only a few feet from us. We couldn't hold a conversation easily with the noise and it was very off putting when trying to finish our meal. All in all very poor service and very poor set up. The food that came off the menu was great, but it was ruined by everything else including trying to serve it as a buffet. We are local and this was our first meal out in 3 yrs since the birth of our daughter, it was meant to be a birthday treat for my husband. It wasn't enjoyable and was not a good use of our money. You did give us a coffee and icecream free (which i didn't eat much of as it wasn't very nice to be honest), to make up for the glass smashing incident, but it didn't make up for everything else. We will not be returning and will not be recommending to others. What a shame.
Dear Cara, I was horrified to read your review, this is neither what I expect or accept from my team. You can see by the amount of 5 star reviews on here, Trip Advisor, Facebook & Google that your experience was very out of the ordinary team. I believe my General Manager has called to discuss the evening with you. I will conduct a full investigation and email you personally. Please accept my sincere apologies. Best wishes, Matt Nicol Managing Director The Greyhound Inn.
Lovely place to eat and enjoy Thai food, perfect setting for a big birthday celebration. We loved it, thank you x
Our first visit and we had a great time with lovely food. We will be back!
We ate later and some of the wantons were a bit soggy and spring rolls. Our drinks were left on bar for at least 5 minutes despite us trying to collect them ourselves. Had better experiences there on many previous occasions but otherwise as always we would recommend.
The food is absolutely stunning, it’s a lovely atmosphere and the staff were attentive. We are looking forward to returning
