About The Green Room at Whatley Manor
The Green Room is undergoing a dramatic reinvention to create a vibrant new hub for food and drink enjoyment. Under the capable direction of Julian McAleer Elkjær who joins us from Copenhagen (kong Hans Kælder).
The Green Room features a newly kitted-out kitchen and bar, fitted with Gaggenau’s latest kitchen appliances and gadgets.
Discover The Green Room, where Julian prepares small plates of expertly crafted food in front of you.
It’s a diamond of a place; beautiful atmosphere, elegant yet unpretentious hospitality. Beautiful!
Our first time in the Green Room but I’m pleased to say that, as always, Whatley’s service was exceptional and the food delicious. We will be coming again soon!
Our first lunch event at Whatley and we had a wonderful time. The service was as ever exemplary, the surroundings relaxed, informal and perfect for lunch. Wonderful wine choice and absolutely delicious food. What really impressed was the love, care and obvious passion for their art paid by Sofia and Julian, two extremely talented young chefs. We will watch their progress with interest and are very much looking foward to their suggested Danish Christmas menu!
Lovely evening & fantastic food & wine in beautiful surroundings- what more could you want?
Fabulous evening. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back soon!
Love the interaction with chefs and others.
As alway fabulous hospitality and service, in the most stunning setting. All topped off with yet another mouth watering dinner.
Another excellent evening. The food and service was impeccable as always. Looking forward to our next visit.
The Taco Night was amazing...an experience to remember. Great food, welcoming atmosphere and some talented young chefs. Would highly recommend! If only it was cheaper, I'd book again straight away.
Amazing food, lovingly prepared and served
An excellent evening, super atmosphere, exceptional service. Have already booked again.
2 issues which are reflected above in the star ratings. £4.50 and a 10-15 min wait for an espresso is ridiculous, otherwise the value for money for the food served was excellent. Also, we waited 10-15 mins for our first glass of wine and when I ordered a second glass from one waiter, it simply didn’t arrived prompting me to ask a colleague. Service from the chefs was very good.
We had a fabulous evening celebrating Burns Night. As always the team at Whatley are attentive, the food was delicious and the atmosphere wonderful. I’m certainly looking forward to our next evening here.
